What has happened since our major update
Upgrade Shop Fixed 🛠️🕵️♂️
Bug hunting can sometimes feel more like detective work than development, so let us take you behind the scenes of the player upgrade bug: Some of you may have come across a bug where two of the three players' upgrades were swapped in camp. At first, we thought it was a client-side bug, possibly caused by a network problem. So we built a tool to test our theory. The result was: Nothing, according to the numbers, everything was working fine. So no way to reproduce the bug 🫤 A few test sessions later, however, we had a breakthrough 🥳 The bug only occurred for the host, and only in the second biome. More importantly, only the game's visuals were suspicious. With this information, the solution was quickly found. To make a visual change in the second biome, we wanted to mirror the player's upgrade shop. This was done by adding a “-” in front of a “1” in Unity. Best of all, the solution was implemented as soon as it was found: Delete the minus 🚮 All in all, it took us several days to find the bug, but only a few minutes to implement the solution 😅
Bug Hunt 🔎🐞
Thanks to your reports on Steam and Discord, we’re able to reproduce a good number of bugs quite quickly. Others take a little longer to find and fix (see our story above).
Several Performance Improvements 📈
Through bug fixing and constant development, we have improved the performance of Wild Woods further.

A new QoL update has been uploaded! It's available right now, you should be able to just download it and keep playing from where you left off. Lunlun (Tiger girl) got a new sprite by Bulumblebee! She's now available in game ^^

Added signs to warn of the pit
Added a sign explaining character select in the Biscotti save room
Added a party event during festival which triggers if the player didn't play every minigame
Giraffe shapes now have a visual warning and a small delay before they show up from the bottom of the screen
Slightly updated the hint text for the shell count puzzle and the fish puzzle
Reduced the exploration area before finding Eveii (it turns out the reason it comprised so much of Sablee was to give access to the save room from the get go, but there isn't much of a point to it that early)

Fixed a bug that would get the player stuck in the lower part of Sablee in some rare cases in the post game.
Added text to mention how a spell's color determine which Fei is required to cast it in an ocean info sign
Once again it has been a while. Unfortunately I have not found as much time as I would like to work on Collectamon. This does not mean however that work isn't being done because it most certainly is. I'd even go as far as saying I am managing pick up pace again even though I'm doing this next to my full-time job.
I will go through the things I have been working and that will be in update 0.3 - The Desert Update.
The Desert Area
The Desert area will feature 15 new monsters just like the previous areas. All the artwork for these is done and now only implementation remains.
The first draft of the area itself is also done, here is a quick preview for you all! :D
Bosses
The plan is to add 2 more bosses to the game. both the Toxic Swamp and the Desert will get one. The artwork for these is still in progress.
Sanctuary rework
I have received a lot of feedback on the Sanctuary being incredibly tedious. The gathering of essence and placing of buildings just was not as fun as it should be. Besides it being not fun for you guys it was also one of the areas of development I least enjoyed working on due to lots of issues arising with the building system both technically and balancing-wise. This is why I decided on reworking it!
What does this mean?
I will be removing the buildings from the game entirely. Instead of placing your monsters in habitats you will be placing them in the Sanctuary area itself where they will all roam freely. The gathering of essence is still something I am thinking about in terms of design. I will make sure this is not as tedious and time-consuming as it was previously.
Now you may ask youself what will happen to all the buildings I bought and the monsters I caught... I will have perform a full save reset for this update. But fear not!!! Your shiny and shimmering Collectamon will be sent to the LOST SHINY REALM!. in short they will be stripped from your previous save file and sent to an area where you will be able to catch them again :)
Mutliple Save Files
Now here is a feature no one requested but I though would be nice to add. You will simply have 3 seperate save files with seperate progress instead of one now. The version you're seeing below is still W.I.P and the UI will be improved upon a bit before the update is released.
Devlog
Just a small little update on something that I am trying to find time for as well. I am currently working on an idea to do a devlog to show a bit of what's happening on the development side of things. I will post about this as well once it is done.

Unfortunately, yes, bugs have happened and we are ashamed of them 😢
We are urgently fixing everything we find (and what ever you find), pumping out updates one by one, and don't plan to stop until everything is working as it should! 👾 We tested the game and everything was fine, but couldn't test it on Steam in advance to avoid re-review. We hoped that everything would be smooth, but... in the end we had a valuable (and painful) experience 😭 Now we will prepare for Steam testing in advance to avoid such a situation and not to let you down!
‼️ We fixed the bugs related to the rootes, WE RECOMMEND YOU TO START A NEW GAME so that everything works correctly. If you had earlier saves before reaching the ending, you can try to continue from this earlier save. We are very, very sorry for this 😖
Besides bug fixes we would like to add a tutorial, because we see a lot of people spinning the calendar (because they just want to poke at it 😅) without following the quests - we hope it will be helpful for you in the next playthroughs. We've already made the technical assignment for the programmer, the only thing left is to implement this into the game so nothing breaks.
And, of course, as an apology, we will prepare bonus content - we will tell you more soon!

Added an option to restore game saves (Cloud Save) in the game settings.
Reduced the wear and tear of fishing rods.
Added free repairs for the basic fishing rod and reel.
Increased boat speed by 10%.
Introduced minor graphical improvements.
Changed the font color to orange for distance and bait depth on the UI panel.
Improved ambient sounds, added new sound effects, and changed the duck sounds.
Fixed a bug where the option to hide network notifications in the game settings was not working.
Improved the NPC for quests – reduced the frequency of spoken lines.
Improved the casting reticle, making it more intense and visible at night.
Improved nighttime lighting – increased the brightness of the moonlight.
Fixed other minor bugs.
NOTICE: New Game Save System
A completely new, safer, and more efficient game save system has been introduced. After this update, the tent position will be reset.
This is a necessary change that still requires testing, so please be patient if something does not work correctly on the first launch.
Cloud Save System:
The game now automatically saves every 20 seconds both locally and on the server. Up to 15 game sessions are stored on the server, allowing you to revert progress to one of the last 15 sessions. The game can be played on multiple devices (computers) linked to the same Steam account.
