Tomorrow is a very important day for us. On February 1st, we’ll celebrate the one-year anniversary of revealing Be My Horde to the world! Yes, one year ago, we announced the game and introduced you to Moriana and her malevolent horde. It was one of the most pivotal moments in Polished Games' history. After that day, nothing was ever the same…


Looking back, we’re amazed at how much the game has evolved and how far our team has come. And wow, how naive we were back then! Check out this cringe-worthy announcement from last year (our writing has improved since then, we promise), where we boldly shared the Early Access launch date: February 29th.

Well… that didn’t happen, of course. And we have YOU to thank for that! As you know—because we mention it in almost every announcement—Be My Horde was originally planned as a small, experimental project to help us learn a few things and build our team. The plan was simple: announce it, release it, polish it, and speedrun to version 1.0.

But then you stepped in. Your overwhelmingly positive feedback inspired us to dream bigger, to delay the Early Access launch, and to create something much more ambitious. And the rest, as they say, is history.

The evolution of Be My Horde has been nothing short of amazing. Just take a look at how much the game has visually transformed since the demo days. And that’s not even mentioning the programming and design improvements under the hood!




Today, we want to take a moment to relive the early days of Be My Horde. Just for a bit of nostalgia. Be sure to update the game—we’ve added a new (but technically old) skin for Moriana: The Shamebringer! It’s a classic look for our seductive necromancess, straight from the days when she led her hordes in the demo. Just a heads-up, though—this is an authentic throwback, so don’t expect animations or facial expressions. It’s classic stiff Moriana… as weird as that sounds.

However, it’s also a SECRET SKIN! That means you’ll need to take a very specific action to unlock it. As a reward for those who read our fascinating announcements, we’re revealing the secret here—giving you an edge over other players!

To unlock The Shamebringer skin, simply click TWELVE times on the Credits Structure in The Dominion. And… that’s it! The skin will be waiting for you in Moriana’s wardrobe.



The skin isn't all will bringing with this patch along. We also provide the game with a few bug fixes. Check the patch notes out:
💀 Fixed Moriana disappearing while reviving on the Grim Shepherd skin;
💀 Fixed resetting sound options on relaunching the game;
💀 Fixed starting screen always having 100% volume;
💀 Fixed Kingdom tab in the Achievements UI;
💀 Removed 'ESC' as a possible key bind in the Controls tab;
💀 Fixed Richard’s auto attacks not dealing damage to Moriana.

This is probably the last time we’ll be looking back, but this anniversary gives us the perfect excuse to do so. It’s been an incredible year, no doubt, but going forward, our focus is on the future!

In the next announcements, we’ll be sharing details about the exciting new level we’re working on. Expect reveals of enemies, features, and all sorts of fun surprises very, very soon. As spring arrives in the Northern Hemisphere, we're not quite done with the cold weather (we got you Southern Hemisphere folks!)!

We're very excited to announce that the first paid DLC for Horticular, Frozen Frontier, will launch on February 28th alongside the free 1.4.0 update to the base game.



So what can we expect to see on update day?

Frozen Frontier will introduce a completely new story on a frozen world that was thought forever lost.

Your task is to help the Cold Council, led by the adorable Frostix, and in exchange you will hopefully learn new things about the Corruption.

• Brand new story featuring frozen gnomes in hours of content.
  
• Arctic world, posing unique cold-based challenges.
  
• Completely new quests to progress through.
  
• New items and creatures befitting colder climates. How about a snowshoe hare?
  
• Snowfall covering your garden. Mostly as a cozy treat!
  
• Unique temperature-based expansion mechanic.
  
• Rely more on keepers who have distinct jobs.
  
• New upgrades specific to the world.
  
• Can be accessed from your existing save file.
  
• Achievements, of course.
  
• Most items and creatures will find their way back to your main world.

What could these orbs possibly be?

• Temperature has found its way to your garden, with new items to create chilly areas.
  
• Where there's cold, there's snow!
  
• A new creature and a couple of new items.
  
• Keeper chimneys finally show cookies are baking inside with the new particle system.
  
• Other minor QoL improvements and bug fixes.

The Su-25 “Grach”, NATO codenamed “Frogfoot”, has been the backbone of Soviet, and later Russian, close air support aviation for decades. Its mission effectiveness, survivability and ease of operation make it a remarkable aircraft. Armed with laser-guided missiles and rockets, bombs, canister munitions, unguided rockets, and cannons, it packs a powerful punch to this day.



Our completely re-created Su-25 “Frogfoot” will soon be introduced as a new free aircraft to DCS. This Su-25 will feature a highly detailed and accurate external model and a cockpit that embodies the highest graphical standards. Based on the Flaming Cliffs series, aircraft operations will be tailored towards ease-of-use aiming to establish bindings and modes of operation. The new Su-25 will share the same exact flight dynamics as its predecessor; accurate performance, enhanced damage modelling and new liveries.

As is the case for the Su-25T and TF-51D, the Su-25 will be a free offering for players to enjoy DCS, improving the choices for high fidelity Red Air aircraft alongside the full fidelity DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum currently in development and planned to come on sale soon.





An aspect of the DCS: MiG-29A coming to DCS later this year is the new pilot model. As further advancements to new pilots are introduced for the F-16C, F/A-18C, and AH-64D, the MiG-29A pilot will feature precision modeling and animations including uniforms, harnesses, patches and other elements. Special attention is being made to the helmet including the Helmet Mounted Sight.

• All in-game objects (workers, furniture, etc.) now have a shadow

• You can now click the hire worker button to cancel a hire
  
• The hire preview now has a green checkmark or a red X to show if the placement is valid to hire
  
  
• You can now see your current experience bar in the Upgrades Menu
  
• Added tooltips to the Experience Bar and Upgrade Points in the Upgrade Menu to explain how it works
  
• You can now Undo your latest changes in the Upgrade Menu before you hit Accept

These changes now make it so that CapitalismCraft will be fully playable via mouse only or touch screen.

• Fixed a few cases where animations were framerate dependent, so they appeared laggy if played on a slower computer
  
• Fixed a few small strings that had spelling/grammar mistakes
  
• Fixed a bug where if a game ran for longer than 500 minutes, the game would crash
  
• Added sound effects for the buttons in the Upgrade Menu
