Hey everyone,

The two of us have been hard at work on something new—something that carries the spirit of DEADLOCK forward while expanding on its core ideas.
Today, we’re excited to share a first look at the gameplay we’ve been developing.

This video showcases the foundation of our weapon and movement systems, including full interaction mechanics, along with a first look at the pistol, shotgun, and assault rifle in action. You’ll also see some of the interactive props and physics-driven gameplay elements we’ve been refining.



For those of you who were part of DEADLOCK’s journey, we want to acknowledge the long silence.

When development on the original game had to pause, we never intended for it to last this long. Unfortunately, by the time we were in a position to return, a lot of time had passed. On top of that, Valve recently announced their own game called Deadlock, making it clear that moving forward under the same name will potentially create more confusion. Because of this, we’re considering the difficult decision to launch all of these updates as a separate product rather than trying to resurrect DEADLOCK as it was.

That said, we haven’t forgotten the DEADLOCK community, and we want to make things right. We’ll be inviting our old fans to join beta testing, and we’re looking into ways to give back to those who stuck with us.

We also understand that some players may still feel frustrated or disappointed about how DEADLOCK was handled. If you’d like to share your thoughts with us directly, we’d love to hear from you.
We can’t change the past, but we’re committed to moving forward in a way that respects our old community.

  • Fixed a few instances of dialogue-related softlocks.
  • Fixed Girruds’ “Tongue Pull” causing the player character to collide with them.
  • Opening the Caravan Storage will now take a turn.
  • Added sound effects for picking up the Forbidden Grimoire.
  • Fixed the “screen shake” setting having no effect on some of the screen shake sources.
  • Fixed some NPCs missing a description.
  • Fixed the Wraiths-related crash occurring when there isn’t enough free tiles for them to spawn in.
  • Fixed “Revelation: Overconfidence” triggering its effect when casting spells.
  • Fixed the crash caused by opening the Prologue NPCs’ context menu.
  • Salt and Flour will now disperse in the air when thrown.
  • Fixed Alda trying to fight in melee with a bow.
  • “Distracting Shot” will now prioritize Hostile enemies but will otherwise still target the closest NPCs.
  • Fixed the Green Salad recipe failing to recognize some of its ingredients in certain situations.
  • Fixed the issue preventing the Crafting menu from being used when playing in 2k resolution.
  • Fixed the Fair Minstrel’s disappearing “musical notes” animation.
  • Fixed the Brynn Jeweler missing a Markup on his Repair Prices.
  • Expanded the base Durability range of lootable jewelry items.
  • Fixed the effect of “Against the Odds” displaying dynamic values as static in its hover.
  • Fixed the minimal Health Threshold of “Against the Odds” not scaling with Attributes.
  • Increased the base Accuracy of thrown consumables, such as Nets and Flasks.
  • Fixed one of the Foragers using incorrect gender.
  • Fixed the missing camp rumor.
  • Fixed “Will to Survive” continuously negating every debuff received over the duration of its effect. Now it will only suspend newly received Conditions (Hunger, Thirst, Pain, etc) and Injuries.
  • Moving coins into the inventory through the context menu will now result in them properly stacking.
  • Fixed some ammunition types not applying their effects to attacks.
  • Fixed the hover of “Regroup” displaying its Block Power Replenishment value as static.
  • Replaced Skeleton Spearmen’s “Determination” with “Seize the Initiative”.
  • Fixed animals being able to use “Ramming Charge” from huge distances.
PGA TOUR 2K25 - Samattra

In MyCAREER, choose to start your journey in Q-School, on the Korn Ferry Tour, or by jumping directly into the PGA TOUR. Compete for points in tournaments that mirror the real-life PGA TOUR schedule. Your goal is to finish in the Top 70 and earn your spot in the playoffs for a chance to compete for the coveted FedExCup.

Let’s jump into some of the key additions this year.

Make History in Major Championships
We’re really excited to include three Major Championships in PGA TOUR 2K25—the PGA Championship, the U.S. Open, and The Open Championship—along with their 2025 courses—Quail Hollow Club, Oakmont Country Club, and Royal Portrush Golf Club, respectively.

Dynamic Rounds
Full rounds of golf can sometimes take a bit of time. We recognize that life sometimes gets in the way of doing what you really want to do—play PGA TOUR 2K25—so this year we have added the option to shorten the time commitment of MyCAREER rounds by using your MyPLAYER’s current skill level to dynamically simulate holes on a course.There are two options in which to play MyCAREER rounds in a shorter timeframe:

  • Dynamic Rounds: A section of the course is chosen for play so players can get through rounds as quickly as possible.
    • Choose the number of holes to play—with separate options for regular events, alternate events, signature events, major events, and the FedEx-Cup Playoffs.
    • Choose which holes to play: opening holes, closing holes, or "dynamic," which picks a different section of the course to play every round
    • Choose whether the unplayed holes are simulated based on skill, or set to even par for the entire field (essentially skipping the hole for everyone).
  • Interactive Simulation: Players can jump in and out of a round at any point to choose exactly what holes they would like to play. Players must play at least 4 holes for these simulated rounds to count

You’ll find these Dynamic Round and Sim options in MyCAREER, then use R1/L1 (Playstation), RB/L1 (Xbox), or E/Q (PC) to select the Settings menu. Once here, use R2/L2 (Playstation), RT/LT (Xbox), or Z/X (PC) to select the round settings you’d like to change.

Training Scenarios
In PGA TOUR 2K25, you can participate in bite-sized training scenarios to boost your MyPLAYER attributes for that week’s tournament. These scenarios test your skill with the club, by tasking you to complete challenges such as landing on the green within a certain amount of shots or sinking a few long putts. Before tournament rounds, you can also compete in Practice Rounds. This is your chance to get the lay of the land before your reputation is on the line.

Sponsorship Events
Grow your relationship with Sponsors through photoshoots and media campaigns. Participating in these events will earn you Sponsor Rep. The higher your Sponsor Rep, the more Tier Points you will earn through play. Tier Points are the key to earning cool rewards from your sponsor, such as apparel, equipment, consumables, or VC.

Personality and Popularity
A new Conversation and Interview System lets you experience building a fan base as you develop your own MyPLAYER personality.After a MyCAREER tournament is finished, players will receive:

  • Invites to press conferences and sit-down interviews with media outlets
  • Messages from fellow PGA TOUR pros to compete in Rivalries
  • Messages from major brands for sponsorship opportunities

Conversations
In every Conversation, the user can build out their MyPLAYER’s personality, which can be bold, reserved, or composed. We encourage you to pick the Personality that resonates with you; then stay consistent in the public eye to increase your Popularity quickly.

Sponsorships
Performance based sponsorship opportunities will arise that result in a change to the player’s popularity. Reaching each threshold of popularity will earn the user a chunk of VC to improve their MyPLAYER’s attributes, equipment, or apparel.

Dilemmas
During MyCAREER, you will be presented with various Dilemmas that can make a direct impact on the course. Do you choose to hit the weights hard and gain some power, or focus on mobility to improve your rhythm?Each decision will have a meaningful impact on your MyPLAYER’s attributes in the next tournament.

Quests
A new Quest system adds more depth to your MyCAREER journey—and the rest of PGA TOUR 2K25. This new system gives added challenges that can be completed to earn different rewards on a daily, weekly, or seasonal basis. To see Quests, in the Main Menu, MyCAREER or MyPLAYER sections, press Options (Playstation), Menu (Xbox), or M (PC) to bring up the Profile Menu. Then select Quests.

During MyCAREER, the main Quest is the GOAT Checklist inspired by the career of our legendary cover athlete, Tiger Woods. To finish this checklist, you will need to win tournaments, complete the career grand slam, earn fans, defeat your rivals, and build your brand by signing sponsorships.

Just a quick update this time mostly made up of changes and fixes that were delayed to make sure item crafting came out as quickly as possible. A lot of this is based off feedback and testing on our Discord so if you've not joined yet come join us and let us know your thoughts.

Parallel Fire
Primary weapons by default snap inward to hit a target if the weapon slots are spaced towards the outside of your ship. This can now be disabled in the equipment panel if you'd prefer a broader range of fire to hit multiple targets.



Navigation Progress
The sector summary that is displayed during sector generation is now also visible at the bottom of the navigation panel as it contains some useful information.



There is also lots of other improvements and bug fixes. Not least of which is the rebound launchers were instant destroying enemies when they applied debuffs due to an error in their damage calculations.

The next update should include the new trader encounters and host of new legendary weapons!

Patch Notes

Balance Changes
  • Reduced level requirements of Assembler options from 8 and 16 down to 6 and 12.
  • Increased number of intercept encounters in a sector by +66%.
  • Rescue ships will now fire back at enemies who come into range.
  • Small consumables now stop dropping at level 15.
  • Medium consumables now stop dropping at level 30.
  • Increased speed of grub launcher projectiles by 66%.
  • Rebound launcher projectiles increase speed when returning.
  • Reduced rate of fire and damage of Skeran Lice.
  • Reduced range of drones from 250m to 225m.
Quality of Life / Accessibility
  • Added latency to the camera's perceived ship velocity to make sudden velocity changes smoother.
  • Added ship summary to bottom left of Mothership panel to make ship editing more obvious.
  • New players will now be prompted to select between classic and twin-stick controls.
  • Alpha Saxa, Novus Prime, Asgard, Genesis and Eden are no longer Waypoints.
  • Destroying items in the assembler now has new animations and sound effects.
  • Patch notes panel now includes the most recent 3 versions separated by tabs.
  • Added glowing thruster to Big Blasta missiles to make them easier to see.
  • Screenshot mode in ship designer now has a button to toggle equipment visibility.
  • Navigation panel now includes a sector progress and contents summary.
  • Primary weapons can now be set to parallel fire instead of focused fire.
Bug Fixes
  • When fighting elite Orchids the one with the highest hull is now displayed below the radar.
  • Fixed bug where rescue ships would just sit idle and not fly around.
  • Engineer Relios dialog no longer pops up in sandbox mode.
  • Fixed bug where rebound launchers would give debuffs for infinite damage.
  • Fixed grub launcher incorrectly having 300% crit damage.
  • Fixed bug where some items in Assembler didn't include slot color.
