New Particle Effects In this update we’ve introduced 3 new particle effects to enhance the gameplay experience: • Attack Stun (a halo of stars for players hit by an attack of over 50% charge, doesn’t play if the player is blocking) • Blocking (radiating shockwaves) • Ground Impact (a combination of dust and smoke which appear at a character’s feet when they land on a surface)
General Gameplay Updates:
• Implemented the ability to cycle through Map & Game mode options in the lobby settings • Visual control input icons will now switch to reflect the current input device being used (Keyboard or Gamepad) • Updated control input icons using third party asset [credit given in game credits] • Added a development disclaimer note to the bottom of the game's display • Keybinds are now loaded from either save game data or default (feature will be utilised in the next update) • Updated the control keybinds sub-section of the game settings (re-keybinding will be coming in the game’s next update) • Updated game credits
Bug Fixes:
• Moving Platforms in 'Training Grounds' map work again • Fixed an issue that had allowed players to attack before the initial game start countdown timer had finished • Fixed an issue that (for clients on specific maps) had caused the game’s intro camera sequence to not play correctly • The 'Add Online Player' button prompt will no longer appear in the admin mode of a local (offline) lobby • Additional lobby button prompts will now correctly disappear when in admin mode, in a local (offline) lobby • Fixed an issue that had prevented players from using mouse button inputs for attack/block in game
Ahoy, everyone, and welcome to our first diary post of 2025. I’m Captain Marek and I am here to share the latest updates on our upcoming train feature. This time, we’re diving into the nuts and bolts (or should I say the wagons and modules) of train stations, loading/unloading, and train refueling. Just like our last post on train routing and signaling, this one is packed with innovation, so grab your conductor’s hat, and let’s get rolling!
After almost three years of development, Vex Clock finally got its release date today along with a new trailer! Have you seen it yet? Check it out below!
Whoa Slow Down Now, A Release Date?
Yup, Vex Clock has gotten its official release date today. While the game was slated for a 2024 release, time and ambition got the better of me and it had to get pushed back. Now here we are, with the game now slated to release on February 21st 2025! It's crazy to think this game first started development on February of 2022, and after all these years it's reaching the big release. I've been dreaming of this moment and I'm so happy to finally get to this point.
So What Happens Now?
Now we wait! I have plans to start sending out pre-release builds to select playtesters to try and get as much feedback as possible. Want to make sure this release is as stable and good as possible for the public to enjoy. I am very anxious admittedly. This is the first time I've ever released something on the Steam storefront! But I'm confident y'all will enjoy what I've cooked up.
Thank you for reading this short little dev log. See you when the game releases next month. (^w^)
