The amount of new features, added content, improvements and changes in this Update call for a true deep dive. And so, we will be kicking off our big 2025 campaign with a Wicked Inside overview of the Breach, all that is new with Moon and our updated Early Access Roadmap.

The new year is always an opportunity to take a look back and contemplate how far you've come. Since the launch of early access, many wonderful, memorable things have happened:

• Nearly sixty free updates with content and bugfixes.
• Approximately twenty seasons that set the tempo for your adventure, each with its own unique challenge every month.
• Five new heroes – the Paladirs – joined the adventure.
• Three major expansions – the island nation of Amakna, Albuera and the Necroworld – with new islands to explore, feats to accomplish and treasures to collect.
• Krosmic Mode, offering a totally new gameplay experience.
• The mobile release that made it possible for you to now continue your adventure wherever you are at all times.
• An unforgettable Ankama Convention to meet you, talk to you and rumble alongside you fighting the terrible Toross Mordal and his army.
• A new book in Story Mode, continuing the investigations into the mysterious disappearance of the gods.
• Several hundred guilds created, bringing together castaways to write their collective legends.
• All of this was possible thanks to a shared passion for creating and playing, the passion that brings the World of Twelve to life…

 

The year 2024 was also marked by another major event: the much-awaited release of WAKFU season four. This season transcended the screen to find its way into WAVEN with exclusive, related content paying homage to the series. Proof that the Krosmoz is still weaving its own story through our games and that transmedia is still at the core of our vision, connecting worlds, stories, and players.

 
The last time we came together to talk about the future was during the Ankama Convention. The discussions then both fueled hopes and raised questions or revealed frustrations for some of you, but know that our teams have never lost sight of the goal. We've focused our efforts on several areas:

• Rework progression, the spine that supports all gameplay loops and the very identity of WAVEN.
• Diversify game modes, with new content such as the boss fight and asynchronous mode (plus other surprises on the way).
• Correct and improve existing content, whether in regard to technical aspects or game design elements to make interactions smoother or deepen coherency in certain areas.
• And finally, work on projects that are still under wraps but that we are eager to unveil when the time is right…

 

Our goal is still to make WAVEN a continuation and conclusion worthy of the Krosmoz trilogy. This is an important promise for us and we will do what we can to succeed. We are determined to achieve our ambitions in this regard. It is our commitment to you, and to the heritage that WAVEN represents.

 

This why we would like to get together with you in a livestream on Twitch in the next few weeks to talk to you directly. Among our new year's resolutions for 2025, we want to continue moving forward, hand in hand, fingers intertwined, with our community and in full transparency. We have always shared our difficulties, for example the Unity update, and we cherish the relationship we have with you. We'll have some great announcements to share! We'll schedule a date soon and hope you'll join us. For those who can't be there, a recap will be available on the official forum.

 

In 2025, let's move forward together, united in our enthusiasm.

Hyvää päivää! As one of the northernmost countries in the world, Finland is best known for its breathtaking natural beauty, vast forests, & rich cultural heritage. In today’s blog, we’ll take a closer look at the city of Oulu, a destination you can explore and deliver to in our upcoming Nordic Horizons DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2.



As one of the oldest cities in northern Finland and the fifth-largest by population, Oulu offers a unique mix of architectural landmarks and economic significance, making it a key destination for truckers. Our team has recreated several large industrial zones around the city, including a food industry producer and a chemical factory. That isn't all however, as you'll be sure to discover so much more when you visit the city yourself!



Players will also have the opportunity to deliver to and from the Port of Oulu, where sea, land, and rail transport converge. As the largest general multipurpose port in the Bothnian Bay, it handles an average of 3 million tons of cargo per year, pretty impressive!



This city also offers a wonderful example of minimalist Nordic architecture, seamlessly integrated with its natural surroundings. As you travel through Oulu, you will come across various standout landmarks, including the central bridge spanning the Oulujoki River, the railway station, as well as other notable buildings and architectural structures. You will also come across some lovely views of the small surrounding islands and bays located in the west of the city.



You will also be able to travel on a variety of road networks, including major road junctions, wide city avenues, and cosy narrow streets, each built with its own character and charm. Our team has particularly focused on capturing Oulu's clean and simple Scandinavian style, blending it with the surrounding nature and landscape.
