Here is a small hotfix for last weeks raft patch.
  • Fixed issue that could occur with overlapping structures being linked incorrectly causing them to be missing on clients or impossible to dismantle.

Holy Grain - business
Changelog:
  • We’ve made even more improvements to the event engine and further reduced creation times. Exciting things are on the way.
  • All moral and relationship modifiers for each faction have been defined. We’ll be balancing them in the coming days.
  • To keep certain elements from the run, such as companions (like the lost dog) or unique items you acquire during the run, you’ll need to reach the end and defeat the boss. If you die, it’s as if you go back in time, retaining only the information you’ve gathered from specific events.
  • Implemented some specialist upgrades that had been left unfinished (a few are still pending).
  • Fixed the bug where events from ONE generation were being generated multiple times in the same run.
  • Improved music interaction. Gradually, we’ll adjust events so the music matches what’s happening, switching between exploration music, combat themes, and eerie silence.
  • Reduced duel roll bonuses to balance them for a d12 dice.

Events:
  • EMPTY_HOUSE: An abandoned house. This is a base event for house-type locations.
  • LOST_DOG_OWNER: You meet the lost dog’s owner... and he’s a bit eccentric.
  • LOST_DOG_RECRUIT: The moment of truth: you can adopt the pup or hand it over to its abusive owner. What will you do?

Known Issues:
  • Cinematics got buggy and sometimes characters stay stuck in the walking animation. We’ll check what broke :,u

And that’s it for today’s update! Right now, with the workload we’re facing, we can’t promise any surprises, but one thing’s for sure: the Steam Fest date is getting closer. Hehe :peepodealwithit:

Here's a slightly bigger patch!

After 1 week of Early Access, we addressed some of the most important issues. We are still working on fixing a few remaining serious issues including crashes and performance problems.

Thanks to everyone who reported bugs and sent us feedback either using the in game feedback form, on steam forums or on our Discord. We are looking at everything!

Here are the changes for this patch:

  • Added icons for visited dye ruins
  • Added boss health bar and portraits during boss fights
  • Made Gladiator fire bombs stand out more
  • Updated some music tracks
  • Updated various world geo pieces
  • Updated various text strings
  • Fixed Savant and Architect achievements not tracking correctly
  • Fixed Ready to Defend and Ready to Attack achievements not being given if gotten in previous demo

Greetings players! Thanks for trying out my game and giving feedback. It's been a fun time working on the game and I appreciate the support. This post will be a small dive into the content that can be expected to arrive some time next month.

Contracts

Experience two new contracts being added. They will be available to play as single missions as well as being added into the pool of missions that shows up in campaigns. Listed below are the two missions being added to the game.

Feedback changes.

With the feedback given from users on the discussion board, I plan on implementing a few changes, they will either release with the contracts or be in a smaller update later on. Listed below are community requested changes or features that will be addressed.

Greetings players!

Hope you had a great start of the year! We're kicking off 2025 with a brand new update for you to enjoy!

New weapons
We are introducing FIVE NEW WEAPONS!

  • MPF-45: A mid-level Sub-Machine Gun.
  • Double Barrel: A high-level, "single-shot" Shotgun.
  • Rubber Shotguns item won't work on this weapon.
  • SIG-SPEAR: A high-level Assault Rifle.
  • SKS-MK1: A low-level Sniper Rifle.
  • Matchlock: A mid/high-level Medieval Weapon.

These weapons will be given for free to our contest winners and randomly to beta subscribers. Later on, they will become available in the shop!

General
  • Added a new player skin.
  • Added language selection buttons on the Steam version.
  • Removed EXP limit text if player is at max level.
  • Improved anti-cheat.
  • Reworked accuracy.
  • Disabled Sniper Scope item from the shop if the player's accuracy skill points are 11 or more.
  • Sniper Scope can no longer be obtained through daily rewards nor promo codes.
  • This quite a big change since the accuracy calculations have changed considerably, so almost all weapons are affected by it. Let us know what you think by giving feedback in the ⁠support-and-feedback subforum!

Balance changes
Along with the accuracy update, we have tweaked a bunch of weapons' stats to spice up the meta on all levels! The changes are the following:

🔴 MP7: Reduced damage from 620-640 to 580-600.
🟢 Gauss Rifle: Increased damage from 360-420 to 420-460.
🔵 WA2000: Updated damage from 510-550 to 500-560.
🟢 Gold Eagle: Increased max. damage from 90 to 120.
🔴 10mm SOP: Reduced min. damage from 210 to 190.
🟢 Calico M960: Increased max. damage from 55 to 65.
🟢 Jackhammer: Increased damage from 140-180 to 160-210.
🟢 AK-47: Increased damage from 130 to 125-145.
🟢 Steyer Aug: Increased damage from 150-190 to 170-210.
🟢 Assasin: Increased max. damage from 200 to 220.
🟢 OIXW XM8: Increased damage from 260-300 to 300-340.
🔵 FN-SCAR: Reduced ammo from 45 to 30. Increased shot delay from 0.15s to 0.2s. Increased damage from 160-170 to 200-240.
🔵 M29 Incisor: Increased shot delay from 0.16s to 0.18s. Increased damage from 240-270 to 250-290. Increased coins price from :coins: 4,850 to :coins: 6,790.
🟢 Dragunov: Increased damage from 560-600 to 650-700.
🟢 M60E4: Increased damage from 175-190 to 200-220.
🟢 RPD: Reduced shot delay from 0.17s to 0.16s.
🔴 Barrett: Reduced min. damage from 1,320 to 1,300. Changed bullet spread from 100 to 92.
🟢 VSS Vintorez: Reduced shot delay from 0.58s to 0.57s. Increased damage from 1,480- 1,550 to 1,530-1,580.
🔴 Gatling Gun: Reduced min. damage from 360 to 340.

EXP gathering and combos
In this update, we're also changing the way you gain EXP in the game. From now on, you can only get a certain amount of EXP per hour, which is a percentage that is split in half for both single player and multi player modes. These limits change depending on your level and reset every hour. The EXP limits are the following:

Levels 0-20: No limit
Levels 21-30 : 51%
Levels 31-40: 41%
Levels 41-50: 34%
Levels 51-60: 26%
Levels 61-70: 21%

Bug fixes
Fixed a bug when rejoining in Elimination rooms.
Fixed some issues in Corridor 2 and Canyon.
Fixed tournament rejoining being disabled if the stake was higher than your account balance after it started.
Fixed an error that allowed the camera to get way further than intended.
Fixed banned UI on Steam.

  • Fixed a bug preventing DMs from interacting with elements in the Monsters tool.
Bigfoot Life - Planet 47 Games
I just wanted to take a moment to share some updates about me, my health, as well as address what that will mean for future updates and development of Bigfoot Life.

My name is Wes and besides creating solo games for Planet 47 Games, I also create games with my brothers under Abrams Studios LLC. We have created games like Morels: The Hunt 1 and 2 as well as Morels: Homestead for the Quest VR headset.

Health Updates

After battling a disease called VEXAS that also has led to me having MDS (Blood Cancer), I have to get a bone marrow transplant. I have been at the NIH (National Institutes of Health) in Maryland for the last two weeks for testing and get admitted on January 22nd. The actual transplant date is January 29th. My family and I have temporarily moved out here to Maryland and will have to stay here until around the middle of May. If the transplant is successful, it could cure both the VEXAS and the blood cancer. This journey has been a rollercoaster of emotions. I am so thankful for my donor who has blessed me with a second chance at life. Even through these difficult times God has blessed us in so many ways. We are very thankful.

What does this mean for future updates and game development?

I had been in talks with a publisher for a few months and it looked promising. I was just informed they are not going to purse the game after all. This means I am back to no funding and developing the game on my own.

Thankfully I have a couple of developers who I have been working with during this time. They will continue to do some development on the game while I am recovering from the transplant. I will try to do my best to work on the game when I am able to during this whole process and recovery.

I think the next step in development is to get a small demo ready. I don't want to over promise what the game will be so I think having players be able to play at least a small portion of the game will be really helpful. The scope of the game may have to be reduced but the game will be finished and released. The demo will most likely be a small map that will allow you to experience a lot of the features and offer you some tasks to complete. The full game will still offer three modes. Normal mode, Survival mode, and Free Roam mode.

Normal Mode
This is the standard mode in which you will take on tasks, go up in Bigfoot levels, and eventually find and attract a Bigfoot mate. I would love to have some epic story involved in this but due to health and lack of resources this will most likely be a simplified version of what I had originally in visioned. I think it is important to be realistic about what can be achieved and done in a reasonable amount of time and really focus on trying to deliver a polished product.

Survival Mode
In this mode your only goal is to see how long you can survive in days and years without being
photographed by a human or having any of your energy, hunger, or thirst meters being depleted to zero.
Free Roam Mode
This mode gives the player an option to just have fun with Bigfoot without having to worry about tasks or surviving. Energy, hunger, and thirst are never depleted. Humans can’t photograph you. You have all Bigfoot skills enabled from the beginning of the game. You will also be able to control and change the
weather in this mode. Have fun by picking up humans, messing with their camps, or just live life as Bigfoot without any worries.

- Own Effect: EVA +30
- Celestial Guardian Eldra’s Party Leader skill, '[Party Leader] Celestial Guard', only activates and applies to yourself when you are not the Party Leader. However, when you are the Party Leader, the skill effect is also applied to party members within a certain range.

Bug Fixes & Gameplay Improvements
1. [Mystery] Fixed an issue where no notification was displayed when opening the Overcorrection Mystery.
2. [Ancient Treasure] Fixed an issue where the Ancient Treasure slot icon was displayed on a character that does not have Ancient Treasure unlocked yet when checking their character info.
3. [Enchant] Fixed an issue where the UI was abnormally displayed when using Enchant Scrolls on items that cannot be Special Enchanted under certain conditions.
4. Fixed an issue where Ragnos summoned only 2 Targon instead of 3 as intended in Hydra's Depths 5F.
