Real-Time Strategy Fest, demo for Godsworn available!

Godsworn is participating in the Steam Real-Time Strategy Fest with a discount, but more importantly, we're bringing the demo back!

The demo will be up during the RTS sale and another upcoming themed sale. We'll see after that whether we keep the demo up or not, so check it out during the next few weeks if you want to be sure!

The demo contains 2 maps, one skirmish and one challenge map. The heroes available to play are from the 2 factions, Saule from the Baltics and archangel Michael from the Order. The full game has more heroes from the same factions, with the heroes adding significant gameplay changes to the faction, such as additional unique buildings, units, upgrades and hero skills.

EDIT - Due to many requests to make the campaign (and tutorial) available in the demo, we have swapped out some content. The demo will now showcase the first 2 missions of the campaign and one skirmish map with Saule the sun goddess being playable.

Please note that the demo contains 2 of the 5 current campaign missions, while there are a total of 15 missions planned for the 1.0 release. The campaign can be played solo or co-op. Skirmish and challenge maps can be played with 5 heroes from 2 different factions, with 8 total heroes planned for 1.0. The heroes add significant gameplay changes to the faction, such as additional unique buildings, units, upgrades and hero skills.

Please note - the demo is considered a different application, and we make the multiplayer connection using Steam, therefore multiplayer is not possible between the demo and the full game. The players you see in the lobby of the demo are only demo players. So if you already have the game and want to play it with friends who don't yet, you should install the demo alongside the full game.

P.S. The demo contains a couple small fixes and changes that will be deployed to the main game very soon.

We’re excited to be taking part in the Real-Time Strategy Festival, and to celebrate, we’re inviting you to showcase your talents in an epic Community Creative Challenge! The theme? Bring the dark, epic world of Erodar to life through your unique perspective. Whether it’s a breathtaking piece of art, a cinematic video, or an intense in-game screenshot, we want to see the Age of Darkness through your eyes.

This is your chance to channel your creativity and make your mark on the community, all while competing for some incredible prizes.

So, how do you get started? Let’s break it down:

The Challenge

We’re looking for stunning works that capture the spirit of Age of Darkness: Final Stand. Your submission could focus on:

Epic battles with swarms of Nightmares.
Beautiful landscapes of Erodar’s shattered world.
Iconic heroes, buildings, or scenes reimagined in your unique style.
Whatever you decide to create, your submission should reflect the core themes of the game—darkness, survival, and triumph against the odds.

How to Participate

Create Content: Share your creativity through artwork, videos, or in-game screenshots.
Share Your Work: Upload your submission to the Steam Community Hub under the Artwork or Videos section.
Title Your Entry: Use the format: "AOD Contest Entry - [Give your post a cool title]”
There is no limit to how many submissions you can enter!

Submission Rules

Here are the guidelines for submissions:

Your submission must feature Age of Darkness: Final Stand content.
All artwork, videos, or screenshots must be original and created by you.
Images should be no larger than 2000x2000 pixels and under 15 MB in size.
Videos should be no longer than 120 seconds.
Keep your submissions appropriate—blood and battle are fine, but avoid nudity or explicit content.

Make sure your submission is your original work! AI assistance, tracing, or work not created by you is not allowed. We want to see your vision and creativity come to life.

Submissions will be accepted until February 3rd - 10:00 AM PT.
