contrary to what I said last time, I packed a lot of stuff into this update again! Life also got in the way, and not exactly in a positive way. So, sorry, for taking my time with this rather late christmas present.
A doubling of 10 to 21 Events, two new demon units, and 1 (in numbers ONE) new relic are accompanied by a new smooth (Skyrim-Style, in case you remember that, ha!) log system, and multiple QoL adjustments especially in the unlock system.
There is now a purple something to more clearly mark curse relics:
Two new Demons
Demon_Totem Demon. Immortal. Inert. Does not move or attack. You cannot win a cube unless the side the totem demon is standing upon is solved.
Krampus Demon. Aquatic. Immortal. Seeks only own units. Attacks in a cone before him. Only hits units of the same team.
New Events:
In this update we get quite a lot of new events. They are now unique per run, instead of just always a random one at each event location.
There are also two new events that only unlock later: Since they are now introduced and we have some, expect a couple more events interacting with demons!
And now about the highlight of this update:
(Hope you like it!)
This also shows you the new and exciting System which allows you to right click zoom into stuff you unlocked! Unlocking multiple unlock levels at once now also show directly after each other, instead of requiring a restart, and using the escape menu to go into the main menu now always shows the unlock screen, even though the next unlock level is not reached.
Small changes and bugfixes
Fixed Demon Prince ignoring block
The telescope event now also removes all statuses instead of just giving the pure status (the actual difference in behaviour is very minuscule, but this is more consistent)
Fixed regular relic list not beeing shuffled
Fixed a rare bug with boss music where two songs could be played simultaneously

Career System info
I have introduced a new career system which consists of completing tasks to earn a promotion and rewards. I wanted to have at least 2 promotion levels ready for this update, however had run into some issues along the way, and as this update includes some essential fixes and imrprovements, I made the decision to release it with just one promotion to begin with. If all goes well, you can expect to see a custom conveyor system with the next promotion!
Custom passengers are temporarily disabled with this update and will resume soon! If you want to become a passenger in-game, head on over to our Discord server and find the #passengers tab! https://discord.gg/dKJSThefuz
-Hovering the battle or challenge buttons now reverts the enemy display to the upcoming encounter. -Updated the appearance of the enemy lobby icons. -Updated the text spacing on the achievement stats page. -Updated the appearance of the credits page. -Fixed an issue where some blurred backgrounds were scaled improperly on certain resolutions.
add "keep_middle" argument to roll() macro function (docs updated)
"keep_middle" lets you keep x median values from a set of rolls. (If keeping_middle on an even number of rolls, the lower of the two 'median' values will always be picked.)
add "is_clickable" token setting, found on the token's character sheet 'settings' tab.
When checked, you will be able to pick up, select, or open the token's character sheet with a left click (or double click) as usual. When unchecked, you will only be able to select the token by clicking and dragging a select box around it. Once selected, you'll be able to move the token or open it's character sheet as usual.
add "show_name_on_hover" token setting, found on the token's character sheet 'settings' tab.
When checked, hovering the mouse over the token will show its name, as usual. When unchecked, hovering the mouse over the token will not show its name. If you have selected the token, its name will always be shown.
Nephelia is a home for several peculiar creatures, You'll probably hunt some and others will hunt you. And of course we have sky whales that are too big to even notice your airship.
It took awhile to finalize 3D models of these creatures that would be the first (but not last) native fauna representatives to appear in the game alongside with various airships, platforms and spitter plants. But first they are to be animated - and the work has already started.

About the playtest
This will be an early build of the game, and will not include all of the final characters, cards, and enemies.
The playtest build will be distributed through Steam Playtest. It will show up in your library like all of your other Steam games, and you can play it whenever you'd like during the duration of the playtest.
We'll automatically collect some gameplay information, like which cards you buy. This will help us tune the balance and make the game as good as possible for release.
Playtest timelines
We will start with a very small number of playtesters the week of January 27, 2025. Over time, we will include more testers.
The playtest will receive frequent updates as we add features and fix bugs. Your playtest build will automatically update through Steam.
If you're interested in signing up, click the "Request Access" button on the Moonsigil Atlas store page.
