With the imminent release of v1.0.8 patch, the mandatory patch 1.0.7rev1 brings some correction to the game. Here some changes:

Amazing Frog? 2 - fayju
Hello and Happy New year!

We know its been a while since we updated Amazing Frog? 2
Those of you that follow what we do, will know its because we have been making huge leaps forward with QMMT.


We are still workling on Amazing Frog? 2 ! We have been working on Amazing Frog? 2 and we will continue to do so until Hell Freezes over - This update is a new beginning for us. As we update QMMT and Amazing Frog? 2 they will benefit each other since they share the same core that we have been developing over the past few years.


As far as content goes, where I mean things line new vehicles and new weapons, challenges and collectables QMMT has recieved the lions share of that effort (mainly because it its close to console release). However since the last update in March for Amazing Frog?2 we have been working on establishing a more robust world with a day night cycle. Safeguarding the future of Amazing Frog? As and small indie we have think outside the box about how to protect future development, especially after what we experienced with legacy where unity progress made our game unupdatable :(

Moving on...
One of the new major features is Swindon Town. This pretty much runs on a Steam Deck even and allows access to Swindon without the rest of the world.

At the end of the day us building this massive world is the experimental bit, but there is no need fighting frogs and driving cars and F.A.P.S. in Swindon to require a super fas PC so try out swindon Town.











There is still lots to do,
Our journey for increased performance in Amazing Frog? 2 is not yet complete and we will be moving the project to Unity 6 in the new year and expect even better results.
We want the day to last longer and the day night cycle to drive more dynamic content and it will.
For now however we only really intended for the Zombies to come out at night ... they are always there... whoops.


The experimental stuff in Amazing Frog? 2 is still there and we will continue to expand this part of Amazing Frog? 2

For now, we only had time to do an update to Windows (64) i will do patch in the new year for the other platforms and some fixes

  • Gone Fishing Mode now begins with more bait and cards that will allow you to terraform land (create swamps, bayous) so that you can get worms and leeches for fishing
  • Two Additional Game Options can be set on new civilizations/profiles:
    • Eels - Enable/Disable enemies that spawn in lakes/rivers
    • Champions - Enable/Disable Champion enemies
    • The original Three Against the Odds Mode does not allow changing these options
  • You now gain much more experience from killing Champions

  • A new quest has been added: destroy the "Dark Obelisk" in "Bunker 345." This quest is available only to players who previously took the task from Alex to find the secret detector "SOVA" in "Bunker 746." You can receive the quest at the "Dawn" base.

The Isle of Elanor - CommonWombatGames
- The edges of the Isle are now the coastal marsh biome. This can be seen on the world map. Coastal marsh areas contain low pools of water and fewer trees. Eventually, all of the plants in a coastal marsh will be different.
- Slightly changed the cave entrance graphics for the slime caves. Eventually, the slime caves won't just be located at the center of maps. You will need to search a map to find the entrance.
