Thanks to the positive feedback and suggestions from all of you [Animal Crusaders], we've been working non-stop to fix everyone's problems, and here's what's updated for v1.3.4-


  • Fixed the issue of being unable to play with a controller in multiplayer mode
  • Fixed the issue of being unable to start Endless mode with a controller in single-player mode
  • ‌Fixed the abnormal issue with enhancing [franchise stores]
  • Optimized some text issues
  • Optimized the demolition mode for giant chicken mechs


* Attention! Online you need to check that both versions are the same (current version: 1.3.4)
* Due to the online use of Steam P2P, 1P hosts are recommended to choose players with higher computer configurations as well as better networks.
* Don't worry even if you drop out in the middle of the journey! Everyone can re-enter the adventure with the following process -

1. Reorganization of the room by the original host (1P)



2. When the 2P players are in position, the owner clicks “Reconnect”.



3. You can continue the previous adventure!

Stronghold Defenders - Bleeze
Music Rework
Now after the game has been out for a little while, my wonderful musician Jan-Peter Itze felt like the music could be improved. We brainstormed together and managed to make something that we are both very proud of. Hope you enjoy the changes that he made.

Bug Fixes
  • Restoration accords that give restoration on specific resource acquired, now actually gives restoration from all sources and not just filling the related resource bar.
  • Fixed issue where Restoration accords related to depleting a specific resource node gave restoration from the unrelated resource nodes as well.
  • Tooltip for the Ramp up skill has been clarified to say Attack Rate instead of Dexterity

- When you buy boosters you get 3 times more of them!
- You only need to complete 7 levels to get the Purposeful achievement

Patch Notes

  • Previously unmentioned update: Metal bars now display a text indicator showing whether they are heated.
  • Redesigned the Artisan Codex with a slight layout change and increased text size for better readability.
  • Increased wall torch light radius from 50 cm to 5 meters.
  • Updated skill page terminology: "Combat" is now "Body" to reflect current gameplay, and "Trade Skill" is now "Arts" for thematic alignment.
  • Redesigned item information pop-ups to no longer obstruct visibility of weapons and other objects.
  • Chat notifications for items placed in the Lost and Found chest now include the name of the shop where the chest is located.
  • Reduced the time required to pick up coins from 2 seconds to 1 second.
  • Customers now drop coin pouches on the ground only if the player doesn't retrieve them directly.
  • Added coin pouches to the thief loot table.
  • Coin pouches dropped by customers will auto-deposit after 5 minutes.
  • Adjusted additional dialogue text for Adela.
  • Reduced the drop rate for the Glider, increasing gliding duration.
  • Increased speed at which customers recognize weapons placed for sale.
  • Relaxed weapon classification rules: Guards can now be added to axes and hammers.
  • Polearms can optionally include guards when combined with a hammer or axe of any size. (Note: Pommels are only factored into weapon pricing and can be freely attached without affecting classification. Please report any customer-related issues.)
  • Removed temperature display from HUD.

    Fixes
  • Adela now returns to her original location upon completing her quest line.
  • Fixed an issue where objects picked up with the “V” key could not be rotated. (This happens if you are placing objects (like a wall torch) that rotate based on the objects surface normals)
  • Resolved an issue with placing guards last when crafting swords. Guard placement order is now unrestricted.
  • Implemented a possible fix for customers not purchasing weapons placed for sale after entering the shop.
  • Addressed an issue where customers might purchase a polearm instead of a dagger when selling daggers.
  • Improved weapon orientation when placing polearms and swords on display racks.
  • Fixed an issue where weapons removed from sale could not be retrieved from the sales counter or display rack. (Cause: Incorrect boolean state.)
  • Resolved an issue with ore delivery crates from Expedited Delivery Services being empty upon opening in loaded games. (Cause: Incorrect boolean state.)
  • Resolved an issue where players would accumulate excess fatigue during activities such as forging, mining, and building. (This was caused by variables intended for a survival mode—where weather effects like rain, snow, and temperature impacted stamina and fatigue—was implemented but not properly disabled.)
  • Fixed Character customization not saving and loading data.
  • Fixed issue with items falling underneath shop or landscape when loading into a saved game.

Known issues:
  • Crash possibly involving customers.
  • Adela(Tutorial) resetting tutorial when reloading after already making significant progress.
  • Adela(Tutorial) may not follow your progress if you do your own thing and make a sword without her guidance.
  • Inventory stacking issue
  • Getting locked in certain animations, making it so you can't move.

UI
- Zone Food Production buttons now show an animated icon if affected by any weather effects
- Font for 'fancy' texts have been adjusted to use a more easily-read font.
- Animated some parts of the UI slightly
- Improvements to various tutorials.
- Event log moved to bottom right corner.
- Replaced text with icons with a few buttons, such as Menu and Scenario
- Settlement buttons now framed in its own themed 3slice
- Cursor info window on the right removed and replaced with a Zone Info tooltip which appears after hovering over a zone
- Event Log Viewer screen added which can be opened by clicking 'View more' in the Event log. The Event Log Viewer can be used to easily get an overview of all events which have been recorded in your nation's journals, including filtering by event types.
- Food production prediction changed to be a weekly and percentage instead of a number of tonnes.
- Button for selected Settlement is now hidden when it is selected.

Settings
- Default settings of Master volume and SFX volume fixed to work for clean installs.
- Setting for Instanced rendering added should any graphical glitches occur.

Gameplay
- Adjusting food gathering zones now immediately updates the food production forecast.
- New game mechanic of Zone effects/Weathers introduced, which may impact food production, but also units. Difficulty affects occurrence of weather effects.
  • Storms, reduces food production and increases cold damage significantly during winters, also damages units in other seasons.
  • Blizzards, reduces food production and increase cold significantly damage, only occurs during winters.
  • Droughts, reduces food production
  • Floods, reduces food production
- The scenario 'The Defender' is now significantly harder to complete.
- AI now keeps track of previously explored zones, improving scouting efficiency and fixing some erratic behavior
- Cold damage taken reduced in neutral nation territory
- New game mechanic for Upgrading Zone Food production. Every year you can improve one Zone per settlement to tactically increase food production. Zone types benefit in different amounts when upgrading based on its type.





Graphics
- Snow particles in the world introduced during winter
- Blizzards appear as snow-storms over affected zones
- Storms appear as rain-storms over affected zones
- Droughts make trees in affected zones change visuals
- Reduced color intensity of nation colors in previously explored fog of war
- Removed the WIP clouds visuals
- Removed the brightly colored stands the units were previously standing on


Input
- New hotkey 'N' added to Settle units.



Editor
- Creating a new nation will automatically select it.
- New nations default at 500 starting taxes.
- Can now change order of Actions when editing a Scriptable Event
- Can now change order of Events in Scriptable events list
- Icons added in many places (Treaty types, Nations)
- Can now delete nations
- Left and Right mouse button actions for different editor tools now displays in the top bar.
- New scriptable event Actions introduced to dynamically build and spawn armies:
  • Add unit to army template
  • Spawn Army
- Scriptable event Trigger 'Day' now has a 'Repeat days' parameter, which when non-0 will make the event trigger again every X days.
- Can now create and delete armies in the map editor.

Bug fixes
- Fixed some issues where camera would zoom out without user input.
- Fixed issue where flowers would sometime remaing on the map after spring
- Fixed an issue where Rewarding units worked when it shouldn't have
- Fixed an issue where players would not get to the Victory screen despite fulfilling all scenario conditions
- Fixed a crash which would occur when entering a multiplayer lobby

Audio
- Reduced frequency of bird sfx

Technical
- UI system now supports animating scale of UI elements easily (scaleAnimation + animationSpeed).
- Fixed font rendering issue affecting single characters at the end of some lines.
- Instanced rendering now applied to several entity groups, improving rendering performance
- Font rendering can now render beautiful mathematical minus-signs when requested so https://www.compart.com/en/unicode/U+2212
- Full-screen maximizing on Windows now takes into consideration a few more pixels border to avoid white line appearing around the borders.
- Fixed a few pointer-safety issues in thread-message synchronization which likely was causing a few bugs and random crashes previously

Improvements
  • Runner: Ignored out-of-bounds blocks and added 'level validity check' to block play if some missing blocks make the level non-playable.
  • Editor:
    • Added out-of-bounds overlays to show creators the blocks 'ignore zones'.
    • Initialised the amounts to half (e.g. the 'grayscale' filter starts at 50% grayscale instead of 0%).

Fixes
  • All game modes: Disabled gate collider after passing it to avoid re-trigger.
  • Explore:
    • Hid the overlay panel when using infinite time mode.
