* Early Access updates and patches may result in missing save data. Save data recovery is available, so please do not uninstall the game and contact the developers at: hi.kkangto@gmail.com
* After some updates and fixes, your character may find itself in an unmovable location due to changes in tiles. If this happens, please contact the developers.
The Polish Update: Part 1 Tons of small and large changes to make the game overall feel more polished and fun to play. Reworked multiple selection menus to make them cleaner and less overwhelming. I also added a new gamemode so that the update would at least contain some new content :) There’s more I’m planning to add in a future update, but to ensure that the new save-data system is working I’m breaking it into 2 parts, this part essentially being the guinea pig. Quality of Life:
New Gamemode: Boss Rush - For quick experiences
New: Recap - Displays stats from your most recent run
QOL: Certain player settings are saved between game launches
QOL: Increased visibility of Pause Menu buttons
QOL: Updated Difficulty menu
QOL: Updated Gamemode selection screen
QOL: Changed wording and style of some text to more fit the flavor of the game
QOL: Added Volume button to Pause menu (suggested by Nai)
General:
Balance: Slight buffs to make Flamethrower feel better early game
Balance: Using Purple to teleport grants Invuln-Frames
Bug Fix: Fighting the hidden lamp boss with the dog no longer crashes the game
Bug Fix: Cursor no longer sometimes disappears when pausing on controller
Bug Fix: Flashlight no longer appears incredibly tiny in the Cosmetics menu
Bug Fix: Favorite Colors now work on Survival Mode
Bug Fix: Gallon shops no longer crash from scrolling too far
That's all for now! Have a happy early New Year! Stay safe, and good luck with your next vending machine run!
Hello space lovers! At Keepsake we're preparing for the holidays, so we thought a quick update would be in order to reflect on this year and share what’s coming in the future.
Last week, we started inviting a very small group of people to join the Closed Alpha of the game to test things out. This has gone well, so we are ready and eager to invite more of you. This will begin in early January. For now, we will continue sending invites via the mailing list. If you haven’t signed up yet and want a chance to participate, I encourage you to sign up now. While we’re not ready to open the floodgates just yet, the plan is to gradually invite more players as the game becomes more stable and as we need feedback on additional content throughout the first half of next year.
Reflecting on this year, it’s been quite a ride. We announced the game in April, presenting it to the media behind closed doors for the first time, and received an incredible response. All the positive feedback that has come our way has truly helped us continue working on the game with great confidence, knowing we’re on the right track to create something truly amazing. Since then, we’ve been pushing every aspect of the game—levels, graphics, items—to the point where it really feels like a complete game. The icing on the cake was being able to share Steam codes with some of you and hear your feedback. We can’t wait for thousands of you to get your hands on it and see it come alive.
Next year will be a huge milestone as we release the Early Access version of the game and ramp up our media coverage. We’ll be sharing more and spending much more time engaging with you, developing this game together, listening to your ideas, and implementing features that excite you. Our goal is to elevate this game to be the best space adventure ever released on Earth!
1. Main Menu Button You asked, we listened! Now you can return to the main menu (single-player or multiplayer selection) even after starting the game. No more relaunching needed!
2. Drop Items Faster Dropping items just got an upgrade! Instead of removing them one by one, you can now specify how many to drop in a single action. Streamlined and efficient!
3. Item Overflow Option Worried about a full bag? When your carrying capacity is maxed out, a new overflow page will pop up, letting you decide which items to keep and which to drop in favor of new loot.
4. Dynamic Drop Page Click the "Drop" header in the player item menu to access the new overflow page. It’s a faster, more dynamic way to manage your inventory on the go.
Bug Fixes 🛠️
1. NPC Attack Bug Fixed an issue where NPC attacks sometimes caused boxes to mysteriously disappear. No more vanishing loot!
2. Multiplayer Coin Bug Resolved a bug where fighting other players in multiplayer turned coins into decimals instead of integers. Coins will now stay crisp and whole.
3. Multiplayer Completion Bug Fixed a bug where completing the game in multiplayer caused unexpected behavior. (A big shout-out to Laolu and their compatriot for finishing the game and helping us track this down!)
4. Tour Crash Bug Addressed an issue where clicking away from the game while the tour was active could cause a crash. Smooth sailing from here on!
First off, we have updated our game engine Godot to version 4.3. This means slightly better performance for you and hopefully more stability. However this is primarily an internal change.
But anyway, in terms of more tangible improvements:
The torch light now comes are of your face while you're holding it and doesn't clip through walls!
As is seen in the screenshot, you no longer have to stand back to ensure you can actually see what you are trying to look at.
Say hello to the new 55 Eighteenth Drive.
Both the basement and living room have been made much smaller and more manageable. Outside has been given fences to stop you leaving and giving it a much nicer feel.
As for our other house, say hello to the new 18 Jenhill Court.
As you can see the outside has been majorly revamped with fences, a driveway and a carport to give the outside a better feel.
The next change is my favourite. The outside of houses has always felt a bit dead, uninteresting, so along with the revamped design. There is also weather and ambient noise. It can be either clear, rainy, or stormy. Each weather type has it's own ambience noise, which can also be faintly heard from inside.
It feels amazing in game so be sure to check it out. Try and get every weather type.
One aspect of the game which kind of sucked is dying. There was no good indicator for being dead. So hopefully this new shader improves that aspect of it. Check it out:
Another good visual but also mechanical change is to sanity. The sanity change amount has been tweaked, and now you lose sanity both in the light and in the dark. When standing in the light sanity drain is 60% slower. In addition, the ugly old sanity shader where everything goes blurry has been removed in favour of a much better one. Check it out what happens if you somehow manage to get to zero sanity:
Another long awaited change is here. Player models! No more capsules as friends.
I can't show you this change with an image, but it is still great nonetheless and deserves to be talked about. A bunch of new sound effects were added, including for: - Toggling items on/off - Selecting ghost type on trap - Placing trap - Winning - Losing - Switching held item
And finally, for our list of major changes. No more frozen games while loading maps. No more failures to join on slower computers. There is now a loading screen for loading maps!
There have also been some smaller changes which didn't need an entire paragraph and image, so here they are: - FOV effects for sprinting - No more debug messages in release builds - Optimisations - Fixed ghost being pushed by players - Adjust volumes of some sounds
We’ve just published 15 NEW cosplay photos of the elf Elaine from Knightly Passions. This is the second part of the cosplay. The third part is scheduled for next week. You can find the photos in the Bonus Pack. The Bonus Pack is viewable via the DLC section in the main game.
If you haven’t yet purchased the Bonus Pack, here’s the link:
NEW FEATURE - You can now turn OFF the swarm in the main menu if you so choose. If you're looking for a cozier experience, this would be it.
QoL update - You can now HOLD DOWN the use button to use: fertilizer, pesticide, shovel, seeds. and scythe!!!!!! (Watering can is staying the same for now, as we possibly may want to utilize holding down the use button for a charge up on a future upgraded watering can.)
QoL update - The scythe now uses a circle trigger with a larger radius for picking up crops, making it much easier to pick up crops around your sprinkler or other interactive objects.
Bug Fix - Fixed an issue where if you pressed Esc (or North on GP) to exit a UI screen in the museum, after donating everything in your currently equipped slot, you wouldn't be able to properly equip new items or use them.
Bug Fix - Fixed an issue where, if you were playing with the gamepad, donating your fishing rod in the musem would simply duplicate your fishing rod.
Bug Fix - In a scroll view area in the UI, it will no longer automatically scroll to something selected if you simply highlighted it with your mouse.
Bug Fix - Fixed an issue where selling and evolution machines weren't correctly resetting the rapid fire use with your mouse, which was making it difficult to only sell or evolve 1 item at a time.
Re-balance - Increased sell value of SpiritSlug to 500
Re-balance - Decreased the price of 4 directional sprinklers to 750
Re-balance - Decreased the price of 8 directional sprinklers to 2000
Re-balance - Increased the natural swarm resistance on the level 11 crop (gigfruit) to be 40% (combined with pesticide it's now 100% fully protected.)
Misc - Updated some bug descriptions to make it more obvious where they appear on the map
Misc - the main menu navigation options are more intuitive now
