Season’s Greetings, Survivors! We’re thrilled to announce the return of our annual Christmas event across all official servers, maps, and platforms. The festivities will run from December 17th to January 7th. Let’s get into all the goodies we’ve prepared for you.
Christmas Trees and Gifts The beloved singing Christmas trees are making their return! You’ll find them scattered across villages and towns on all three maps. We won’t spoil the fun by revealing their exact locations—you’ll need to go out and explore! Each tree will feature gift boxes filled with goodies like food, Christmas-themed clothing, ammo, and more. As usual, opening these boxes will grant you gift wrap, which you can use to repackage a gift of your choice for a fellow survivor.
Santa’s Sleigh Crashes Santa’s sleigh dynamic crashes are also back and, for the first time, will appear on Sakhal alongside Chernarus and Livonia. Rest assured, these festive crashes won’t replace regular helicopter crashes on Chernarus and Livonia. In fact, they’ll even include loot from standard heli crashes! There is also an additional incentive to hunt down these sleigh crashes, especially on Livonia and Sakhal. They will include keys to endgame items like punch cards on Livonia and scientific briefcase keys or glow plugs on Sakhal. As you journey through the forests of Chernarus, the plains of Livonia, or the ice sheets of Sakhal, keep your ears open for the magical sounds of sleighs crashing and your eyes peeled for the glowing blue light. Let the hunt begin!
Reindeer Take Over Speaking of hunting, we wanted to bring the spirit of Christmas to life, so we replaced all the deer on Chernarus and Livonia with reindeer. Even better, there’s a special reindeer with a glowing red nose and Christmas lights tangled in its antlers! Keep an eye out for this festive creature who might be found near sleigh crashes or roaming amongst a herd of reindeer. We’re rooting for his survival after the crash, or even against the infected Santa! Otherwise you’re in for a free loot of Christmas light.
Seasonal Cosmetics All your favorite Christmas cosmetics are back, including headbands, seasonal eye masks, Santa hats, Santa beards, Morozko hats, and Christmas gloves. We’re also introducing three new “ugly” Christmas sweaters with DayZ-themed slogans. We hope these additions bring a festive touch to your survival wardrobe.
Candy CanesThe magical, oh-so-nutritious candy canes are returning! These sweet treats could prove invaluable in harsher environments like Sakhal’s inland regions where food is scarce. A Frosty First with Frostline This year marks the first ever white winter Christmas in DayZ, thanks to the addition of Sakhal. We can’t wait to see how you celebrate the holidays in the new winter map. Share your Christmas-themed screenshots, adventures, and shenanigans with us using #TalentforDayZ and #ChristmasZ. Rafale C F3-R — incorrect update frequency of data on targets tracked in TWS mode has been fixed.

An issue with object synchronization that could cause vegetation and other objects to regenerate after being destroyed has been fixed.
VBCI — internal module errors and inaccuracies have been fixed. Filling of the VBCI with modules is not yet final. We are still working on the modules as well as on corrections to some other existing discrepancies.
VBCI — the front fuel tank has been made external.
VBCI — a bug where the antennas were floating in the air has been fixed. (Report).
VBCI — a bug that caused the coaxial machine gun to not elevate has been fixed. (Report).
M44 — various model fixes.
Namer Tsrikhon — a bug that made the electronics module act as armor has been fixed.
PzH 2000, PzH 2000HU — the discrepancy between the back and front sides of the engine deck partition has been fixed. A bug that caused the crew skills to affect the reload speed has been fixed.
HQ17 — a bug where the gunner’s sight was covered by textures when raising the camera has been fixed. (Report).
Naval Vessels
HMS Rodney — ship sinking parameters have been adjusted.
RN Ghibli — the distribution of anti-aircraft gun ammunition has been adjusted.
Interface
New tactical map functionality has been added to test drives.
Graphics
A bug where the bottom of an aircraft could be reflected on the top when using screen space reflections (SSR) has been fixed. (Report).
The transition between water and shore has been visually improved. Incorrect appearance of shallow water in foggy weather has been fixed.
Controls
A rare client crash caused by complex key bindings made by the player that occurred when pressing certain keys has been fixed. (Report).
Patch notes reflect only key changes, meaning they may not include a complete list of all improvements made. Additionally, War Thunder is constantly being updated and some changes may not require an update. Changes reflected in patch notes are formed by taking reactions and requests of the community from the bug reporting service, forums and other official platforms into account. Bug fixes and changes are implemented in order of importance, for example a game-breaking bug will be worked on and implemented sooner.
First and foremost, we would like to express our sincere gratitude for the support and following from all players. Your companionship has been an invaluable motivation for our development team.
It has been quite a while since our last project progress update, and we have received numerous feedback from backers through negative reviews on Steam. Today, we would like to share some updates to address your concerns and provide you with a more comprehensive overview of the current situation.
Development Progress As you may have noticed, we haven't had any updates since August, and our devlogs have been sporadic with limited new information. This is partly due to team members dealing with personal family and health issues that required immediate attention (as mentioned in our May 2024 announcement).
Financial Situation Our main challenge currently is financial difficulties. To maintain operations, we have had to diversify our revenue streams through developing and publishing Hot Springs alongside the Peach Party team, as well as updating and launching new DLCs for Chill Corner.
Regarding our Kickstarter campaign, we want to be transparent with our community while respecting our contractual obligations. While the final funding amount is publicly visible on Kickstarter, the actual amount we received was less than half of that figure after accounting for various campaign-related expenses and fees - which were beyond our control. We regret that we cannot disclose the exact details due to confidentiality agreements, but we hope this helps explain why we've had to operate with significantly less resources than what might appear on the surface. With this limited capital, we maintained a team of 8 people (including 4 artists, 1 animator, and 3 developers) until November 2023. After that, we used personal funds to maintain operations until March 2024.
Current Situation and Future Plans The Early Access version of Chill Town has sold over 6,000 copies in the past 9 months (counting 15% refund rate). This revenue is only sufficient to maintain basic living expenses and repay previous development loans. Due to declining revenue in the past 4 months, the team currently consists of only 2 developers with no artists.
Official Release Plan We plan to launch the Official Release in Q1 2025 with new features: - Museum System - New Quest Lines - Seasonal and Festival System - Bug Fixes and Gameplay Improvements
Due to the absence of artists, we will combine self-development within our capabilities and use appropriate assets to complete the game.
