We’re excited to present the latest update for Project Legion! In this version, we’ve introduced new options for players who experience motion sickness, added new items related to “souls,” and fixed some reference issues in character animations. As always, your feedback is essential to help us refine the game experience.
New Features and Changes
Camera Stabilization Parameter:
We’ve added a new setting in the menu for those who experience motion sickness. You can now choose a configuration that reduces or eliminates camera wobble during gameplay. Adjusting the camera in an environment with simulations and resimulations at the networking level is a challenge since we need to maintain perfect synchronization among all players and ongoing actions. With this parameter, we aim to offer a more comfortable experience without compromising gameplay.
We will also showcase a GIF video comparing the game with and without camera movement so you can clearly see the difference.
New Items That Grant “Souls”:
We’ve introduced new items in the game that allow you to earn “souls,” the in-game currency that we plan to expand in the future. As we move forward, we’ll keep tweaking the system so you can use these souls to purchase artifacts, skins, and other aesthetic or even functional items. Over time, certain skins may offer unique gameplay features, adding new strategic layers to the experience.
Fixes for Hand References:
We’ve resolved various issues related to character hand references. Animations and hand positions should now look more natural and consistent.
Next Steps
We’ll continue refining the in-game economy based on “souls,” adding more ways to earn and spend them.
We’ll evaluate the introduction of skins with unique gameplay benefits, listening to your feedback to properly balance these advantages.
Thank You for Your Support
Your enthusiasm for Project Legion drives us to keep improving and innovating. We’re grateful for all the feedback, suggestions, and bug reports. With your help, we’ll continue polishing every aspect of the game!
A big update today. New this week: Bowling, Attachment Saving, More. This is a BETA update. Please use the Beta branch in BrVR's steam library page -> gear icon -> properties -> betas.
Adjusted Double Barrel Physics
You can now snap a double barreled shotgun closed via a hand gesture. In addition, the recoil is much improved from the last iteration.
Disabled Friending in Arena Mode
Previously, arena mode could glitch out when an entity comes into contact with almond water and beef, causing the entity to go after every enemy on the map. This is fixed.
Made Attachments Able To Be Taken Off Without Changing Levels (Wow, It Took You This Long)
You can cycle through the red dot, laser, scope, and blank attachment options now. Also, the delay between being able to cycle between them has decreased.
Made Rail Attachments Save Across Levels
This is a pretty beta feature for now. It only works for items in your slots, not your hands (although that's coming soon) and doesn't include suppressors for the time being. Do you like suppressors? Me too. You can now get free infinite "janky" suppressors in the gun store for the time being.
Added Clump Repellent
No, it's not an aerosol can. It's a special knife that can be used against clumps while they're pulling you in. Suggested by @ColtonsCats on our discord.
Added Box Of Rattle-y Cans
Raging in level 2? Throw a can! Got slain by a skin-stealer in level 3? Shake a whole box of em around! These cans produce tons of noise and are great for getting all sorts of frustrations out. Suggested by @LunaNightZ on our discord.
Holiday Event in Level 11
Level 11 has gotten a winter makeover for the time being. Snow is on the ground, there are new items to buy in the convention center, and there is a certain feeling of jolliness in the air.
Updated Level 10 Arena Mode
Level 10 arena mode got a huge overhaul, receiving a complete graphical rework. It looks more like the new level 10 now with lush foliage and realistic-looking buildings.
Added Level FUN Arena Mode
Level FUN arena mode has been added. This wide-open part of level fun features a dynamic environment to infinitely slay entities. There's even a fun little maze in the middle to lead entities through. Suggested by @ColtonsCats on our discord.
Added the freeze gun utility
This new utility allows non-grabbed objects (for technical reasons sorry) to be frozen mid-air. Suggested by @SherlockBuzti on our discord.
Added Santa hats to the Partygoers
As per the yearly tradition, Santa Hats are now on the Partygoers. This is the first time that the partygoer with the new animations has had a Santa Hat. There are also now buyable Santa Hats in the MEG Convention Center and limited edition Partygoer Santa Plushes too.
Added a prototype physics demo for bowling
In level 40, you can follow a back hallway to a new bowling minigame. This is purely a physics test and the pins don't currently reset. If you get a strike, put it on our discord server. Fun fact: If you were to go here on the main branch, you would be met with a broken minigame where you could knock down almond waters with clumps. It's really pretty terrible. Here's a before-and-after:
Now for some rapid-fire changes:
Added trims to the level 2 start Added bloody, gory skin-stealer deaths for head explosions Adjusted Physics Sleeping On Vinyls
Same known bugs as last week sadly. We will get to those soon.
