Hello, first of all, thank you for your support and your patience, there's been A LOT of time since I posted something here, I am making this post to let you know the reasons: Fisrt, I have been reworking every aspect of the project non stop, new visuals, new models, better systems and adding new sistems and updated interface. That being said, it has been taking longer than I estimated, as much as I work as fast as I can, my time is limited and the scope of the project have been rising a bit for a solo dev project. Still that means that it will take some time for the next update, but it will be HUGE, I have been basically remaking the game, so I just wanted to let you know that the project is still ongoing and will come back stronger.
Here I will list some new things I've been working on:
New User Interface I've been designing a new interface and menus to make the more appealing and easy to use.
Reworking Abilities I've been changing some abilities and putting new ones for each gameplay style and passive abilities too. There will be also new abilities that will be aquired via quests and will worth with any playstyle.
New Unnarmed Playstyle If you don't like to have weapons, I've been implementing a new playstyle to make for 4 different playstyles, this one have some unique abilities.
New item slot: Lantern Light will be important now when you enter caves and places with low or no illumination, this will add a new layer to the gameplay that I will be developing to make it more relevant.
New Story in progress After a lot of iteration, I am developing a more refined story, although my main focus is on the gameplay, I don't want to tell a dull story whatsoever, so I hope you like it too.
New models and animations for the player and NPCs. This is what I think is the big thing, I am remaking all the models from scratch to make the game more appealing, I think this is what have been taking the longer, currently I have some models done but need some paiting, I will share some screenshots with the new models and you can tell me what you think.
More weapon variety I'm also been working on new weapons, like spears, two handed weapons, new type of swords, some with unique animations, also I am working on different animations that may be unlocked depending on the level of the weapon.
New Quest System I am updating the way the quests are aquired and how the dialogues will be shown
Once again special I thanks to all of you who bought the early access, and thank you to those that played the demo and wishlisted the game, thank you for your trust and support on this project. I think is at least fair for you to know the current state of the game and how things have been going since the last update. I cannot thell you when this update will come out, because my time is limited and it is really a lot of work but I hope to get something playable next year, so I will appreciate your patience.
It finally happened, Dustgrave has been released and we begin our Early Access Journey!
This is an important step in a long journey started four years ago, but it's only the beginning of a new development phase, which will see our development team follow the community's feedback to deliver content and improvements based on your suggestions!
