HELL OF FEAR: MIND BREACH
ATMOSPHERIC SURVIVAL HORROR
What begins as a routine investigation quickly spirals into a desperate battle for survival against an entity that turns both mind and matter against you. Can you resist the breach?
It's been a crazy month since launch, and the team is so thankful for all of your passion and support since we released Windblown into Steam Early Access. Your feedback has been paramount to what we've been working on next!
Speaking of which, we'll be releasing Windblown's first feature patch this month, which we're calling the Revenge Update!
It'll include new weapons, skins, trinkets, and huge updates of some major enemies and level design reworks, along with the long awaited Sudden Death rework - replaced by The Revenge Mode! Stay tuned for updates on this patch soon.
What's happened since launch
It's been non-stop for the team since launch, as we've worked through countless pieces of feedback and watched closely as you tackled the Vortex and its minions head on!
On top of this, it's been amazing to see how you've experienced Windblown with friends and found inspiration in things like fan art and videos.
So let's take a look at what's happened since launch:
Lots of small Updates
Mouse Aiming - this was a hotly requested feature since launch, which was something we implemented fairly quickly. It became clear early on that keyboard and mouse users wanted more control over their character and it's targeting. So we added a new way to aim using the mouse, but also allowed players who preferred the existing method to continue using it.
Bug fixes & QoL - plus a buuuunch of smaller fixes and tweaks to the game to improve everyone's experience. For example, weapon fixes, gift changes, and enemy tweaks.
Balancing - tweaking things that were just too strong, and buffing things that needed a bit of love. Balance is super important and something we will continuously monitor.
AMA
We hosted our very first AMA over in the Windblown Discord, where we took questions from the community and answered as many as we could, focusing on the most important topics to our players. Check out the VoD below!
Creator Reactions
Sodapoppin took Windblown for a spin shortly after the games launch! It was great to see his community enjoying the content and getting involved with the stream!
The Co-Op Bros dove into multiplayer and gave their thoughts and impressions on the game! We loved seeing them tackle the Sentinels together!
Bundle!
For anyone looking for A TON of Roguelite goodness, you can grab both Windblown and Dead Cells together in this awesome bundle.
1. Fixed a bug where the calculation of the rotation speed of large enemies was incorrect, causing them to move away from players in the later stages 2. Performance optimization was carried out for the later spores 3. Optimized and reduced the reactive force on character melee attacks
It's been a while since the Steam release of Blood X Thirsty, and since this was a jam game from random collaborators from the internet, we weren't planning on doing many updates, if any. That being said, this patch resolves a few bugs and general fixes to the game overall:
UI change: fixed margins on ingredients list
Gameplay change: adjusted hitbox for player (I made it larger, so combat should be a bit more forgiving.)
Bug Fix: Tips from your last run no longer carry over to your next run.
That's all for now! As always if you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to reach out on Discord: https://discord.gg/pV39wyBA
Under The Waves celebrated its first anniversary this year and we cannot thank you enough for your support! If you enjoyed your time exploring the depth of the North Sea with Stan, you can nominate us for the Labor of Love Steam Awards 2024.
And if you haven't had a chance to play Under the Waves yet, the game is currently 60% off on Steam!
Today we are excited to introduce in-game leaderboards to Final Outpost: Definitive Edition alongside a new scoring system.
This is a great time to talk about the demo for FO:DE. The demo will include all the improvements we've been working on for the last few months and tease new features like difficulty modes and the all-new trading system. You'll be able to play all the way up to the first Winter, which is over 2 hours of gameplay!
The best part? The demo has a new scoring system that shows how well you performed throughout your game. So the demo will have its own competition to see who is the best Outpost manager in the first 36 days. This competition won't be in the full release so make sure to play the demo on Steam when it releases on 13th December!
The new scores are calculated based on days survived, total population, and deaths. This means the players topping this leaderboard will be those who can grow their population the fastest without having any of their citizens starve.
Normal and Classic modes are available in the demo. In terms of difficulty these two modes are identical, but in Normal mode you can save your progress whenever you like. If your walls are breached you can rewind to a previous night and try a new strategy.
In the full game, you will be able to compete against others for overall score, number of days survived, biggest population reached, and prestige level. We will explain prestiging in a future blog post.
In the meantime, thank you so much for reading. Make sure to wishlist the game before the demo releases on 13th December!
