Eccentric? Mad? Genius? Perhaps a bit of all three. Ever wondered if there’s a way to butter toast while it’s toasting? Chances are, he has, and gone through at least seven different prototypes along the way. 🍞✨

There’s no task he cannot automate and no gadget he can’t create… well, if there is, he hasn't found it yet! 🔧⚙️ He’s happiest when he’s got tools in his hand, and a faint aroma of his own singed eyebrows in his nose. 😅🔥

While he doesn’t long for the great outdoors like his other companions, he does seem to keep finding himself on rugged inventions in the pursuit of his creations. 🌲🔨

His inventions don’t always go the way he expects, plans, or even hopes. But therein lies the soul of invention; mistakes often lead to even bigger mistakes, which present a whole new set of problems. And where there’s a problem, there’s a solution! 💡💥

Not one to trust technology he hasn’t built with his own two hands, he shies away from things like cell phones 📱 and computers 💻. Cogs and gears are more his style, microchips are boring. As he always says: “If it ticks, it does the trick!” ⏰

He can get a bit messy when he’s in the zone, but he has quite the knack for remembering where he puts everything. 🗂️ But when he doesn’t, he’s got his loyal companion, Parrot 🦜, to help him out. (More on him later!)

We know that this came to be thanks to the Steam Awards and the Labour of Love category, which makes us even more honored to think that with so many amazing games and teams out there, some of you chose to cast your vote on our game! We really wanted to thank you from the bottom of your hearts for your support and your kind words all around!

It has been an immense pleasure to work on this game for the past two years of Early Access for all of us and this is truly only the beginning of this journey! We still have so much to build and show you, and we are extremely excited for the future of Soulstone Survivors!

Derail Valley - Altfuture
Hi everyone!

Two patches made it to the game since the last week's release - one last Friday and another just now. Various bug fixes are included in them, now listed together under the title B99.1:

Next week we'll release another patch with more fixes. We'll likely have a few more in the next months, each with greater complexity, some also adding new industries, cars and cargo types, before we fully move on to the B100 release sometime in 2025.

B99 Summary

The B99 release was awesome! Not only the announcement had more reactions than any other post in DV history, but a few days after it went live we had the record number of simultaneous players on Steam, with 12% more than when Simulator launched! Next year we are committed to break not only that record, but that of all games in the train simulation genre too, which we already got pretty close to.

Our rating is also the highest it's ever been, now only being 0.04% short of 96% on Steam! Thank you for that, and for all your feedback - we're going through it and are adjusting our plans accordingly.

With that, the Steam Awards have just conveniently started, so we'd be thankful if you'd consider voting Derail Valley as your Labor of Love favorite.

Unrailed 2: Back on Track - Indoor Astronaut
Hi everyone!

Next to some general improvements, there are some milk and versus related fixes this time.

Changelog v-333-93c3f0b:
- Crash fix: Crash when the train crashes with a frog attached
- Bug fix: A tool could go completely missing if no valid respawn point was to be found
- Bug fix: Frog sometimes invisible
- Bug fix: Frog plunger was missing when attached to milk wagon
- Bug fix: Multiple memory leak fixes (might improve the DX12 stability and might fix the missing destruction particles on longer runs)
- Bug fix: Canyon boss doesn’t keep any path open when visiting it multiple times
- Bug fix: Slot stations could show no speed reward when the train was already at base speed. Now slot stations are only sampled once the train is fast enough
- Improvements: Lava blobs and crabs now follows the milk wagon
- Bug fix: When joining within a shop of a game that has been saved in this shop, cartridges could get lost when present reset
- Balance: Active bombs will be removed when entering a shop in versus
- Balance: Magnet and collector can’t access the opposing team’s map anymore
- Balance: The 2nd visit of a biome has a lower start speed than before but the boss appears +3 stations later for each visit
- Improvement: Best of 3 (5) will finish earlier if the other team can’t win anymore

The Employee Update (December)
It has been some time since the last update and we would like to share some information about the latest development. We're actively working on The Employee Update, which will be the second major content update and is ought to release this December. There will be new jobs for the employees, training courses are implemented, new customization options, and much more cool stuff. Below are a few sneak-peeks.

Steam Cloud support
Star Chef Simulator now supports the Steam Cloud to store saves across devices (This is currently limited to Windows users and does not work across different platforms).

New feature: shopping cart presets

Tired of rearranging your shopping cart? With the new shopping cart presets, you can easily save your order as a preset and insert it whenever it's needed.

Game Update 11.30

1 Increased the total time of a single game to 90 days

2 Canceled the death setting of side characters

3 Fixed the problem of occasional inability to enter the level

4 In the H plot stage, the operation button panel is added to the right hand side, and the H plot can now be automatically fast-forwarded.

5 Modified the game save file, and the second round can now inherit attributes

6 Optimized the game save file, and now the unlocked character avatars can be seen in the new save file

7 Fixed the bug that some special effects cannot be displayed normally

8 Fixed the problem that some players cannot see all the illustrations

9 The H plot recall function has been added to the illustration function, so you can now review the H plot

10 The unlocking condition prompt has been added to the recall plot
