Today is a truly special day as my game is finally released to the world! đ This journey has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. From the very first spark of an idea to the countless hours spent designing, coding, and perfecting every detail, I poured my heart and soul into this project. Every challenge I faced along the way became an opportunity to learn and grow, and every success, no matter how small, felt like a step closer to making this dream a reality.
Reaching the finish line of development is an incredible achievement, but for me, the release is far from the endâitâs just the beginning of something even bigger. Iâm excited to continue working on the game, adding new content, expanding its features, and refining the experience to make it even better for all of you. The story of Permafrost is set in the wake of the cataclysmic âshattering', an apocalyptic moon phase phenomenon where humanity finds itself teetering on the brink of extinction as the world succumbs to an eternal deep freeze.
Following the catastrophic events that shattered the moon, fragments of its remains fell to Earth, including a significant moon rock near one of the forest areas. This resource possesses unknown capabilities but has already proven valuable for crafting high-quality, highly durable tools and equipment. Its arrival led to concerns about potential contamination, which, combined with the harsh conditions, prompted the military to abandon their post.
Not to be confused with another valuable resource, coal, the moon rock's mysterious properties and utility have made it a desirable resource in the post-apocalyptic world, inspiring hope but also fear.

Fireworks Mania - An Explosive Simulator - Laumania ApS
### Added - Added first draft of an "Host" UI in the Inventory in-game. Only hosts can see this for now, but can change various host settings via the UI instead of via console. Not all are there, but I will update it overtime. So its a bit easier to manage being a host now
### Changed - Changed the map list so it now, at all times, have one map selected. It will default to the first map in the list, which is Town - Changed the look of an selected map to make it easier to see which one is selected - Adjusted the colliders of the fire escape stairs in City so you can now actually walk up and down. Also added a metal footstep sound - Changed the MainMenu background video and background image - Updated localizations from Crowdin - Turned down the volume on some footsteps, just a bit, as it felt a little to high sometimes - Changed the placement of the various buttons in the MainMenu so they are now at the top instead of the bottom. Some players had a hard time finding the buttons at the bottom, so I moved them to the top, lets see if its better
### Fixed - Fixed scroll speed bug after later Unity and Input system update. Dunno what Unity did, but the scroll speed on ScrollViews got crazy, so I adjusted some values now to it feels more normal again - Fixed bug where you could join an host with a different game version if you joined via joincode or Steam friend list. Now you cannot and will get an error popup if you try. The reason its important not to be able to do this, is that the game will not work properly is host and clients are not on the exact same version of the game - Fixed build-in StrobeRockets which have been not working properly since beginning of multiplayer - but they work now :)

Fixed a problem when switching between game screens and another app, which caused issues with the cursor in the game.
Elite Missile Enemy now deals less damage.
Fixed a crash that occurred underwater when finishing a level. We still need feedback from players who experienced this crash to confirm itâs resolved.
Added the option in the settings menu to disable the scanner icon on the HUD.
Fixed an issue with changing resolution when switching to windowed mode and back to fullscreen.
Default gamepad sensitivity has been reduced.
Loading a save after destroying the barrier now keeps the barrier gone, but robots still hover and shoot lasers in Blue Desert.
Added a toggle-to-sprint option for both keyboard and gamepad.
Default music volume has been lowered.
Fixed terrain changes near the blue material deposit when driving the RC car.
Fixed a bug where the boss would slide instead of standing up immediately.
When a gamepad is connected, "Hold to Crouch" is now off by default.
On Red Desert, the game now saves progress after hacking either of the two PCs. It will also save when you first interact with each PC by pressing "F."
Fixed an issue where the third electric in Cylinder Town, when using the RC car, could pass through walls.
Increased HP slightly for all enemies in higher difficulty levels. Previously, HP boosts applied only to certain enemies.
Fixed the 5 Loot Boxes achievement.
Fixed the 10 Levels achievement and changed to 7 Levels.
Changed the "Kill 10 Explosive Spiders" achievement to "Kill 7 Explosive Spiders."
Added a fix for the cutscene at the end of 13 The Forest: "Return to Mission Area" won't appear anymore.
Fixed loading texture issues and freezing during spaceship landings.

Major Content Update
First, the mission crew limit has been expanded from 4 members to an 8 person crew complement!
That's not all, we have developed a new technology to help Anglernauts distinguish themselves during missions. You'll be able to equip space suit accessories thank to the high tech suitcase adroned with a golden question mark.
Additionally we have render the Interface readable in more languages to reflect the various earth dialects picked up during missions.
We have upgrade your destination selections to find more exotic locations, with destructible asteroid walls and also find special mission destinations.
The special mission will yield higher rewards but there topography might throw you through a loop. You'll recognize them to there special key icon on the destination selection screen.
Beware there is a new detected space danger called, Komet that roams your mission destinations.
On a positive note, the Galactic Confederation now recognize more sellable items like the Langoliath plushie and the Langoliath tentacle. This will get you even more Void Coins to help you reimburse your debt.
As we want to recognize the individual efforts, you'll be awarded titles at the end of each successful exploration during missions.

Looking for a Challenge
Weâve been playtesting non-stop to make exploring Nera a much more challenging and engaging experience. Look out for more important choices on attrition as you go from surviving on coconuts to cooking specialty dishes. And for those of you who thought you had mastered combat â think again! We've rebalanced the whole combat system to make stat points and new gear feel more impactful and to make the clash with enemies feel more dangerous. And speaking of those creatures...
Enemies and Spirits Reimagined
Our artists have outdone themselves with visual overhauls and polish to our monsters:
Reef Hobbs now glow hauntingly in the darkness, making nighttime exploration both beautiful and terrifying
The Deepfang Snapper (our underwater terror) has gotten a ton of animation love that⌠well, let's just say you might think twice about deep-water diving!
And on the friendly side, our spirits have never looked better! Each type of elemental spirit, Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water, has a unique look. Find all 8 around the map to unlock their knowledge of ancient crafts, empower your base, and fulfill your duty as protector of Nera!
Set Sail
Ship exploration been a huge focus for us with improved controls and camera work that makes sailing feel more intuitive and immersive than ever. In case you missed it from the last update - awakened spirits can now join you as crew, imbuing your ships with magic for your travels!
Skimming Sensation
Skimming water trails are back and just wait until you see what special gift the Spirit of the Ocean has in store for you! (No spoilers, but youâll feel the Elder Spirit boosting you across the ocean!)
The Embrace Renewed
We've given the map a major overhaul, adding new points of interest and refining existing locations to make exploring the Embrace feel fresh and exciting â even for our veteran players.
That includes discovering new lore stones scattered throughout the world that not only provide valuable knowledge points but also reveal deeper mysteries about what really happened in the world of Nera...
