Ghoul Smash - Hamsterchief
This update primarily focuses on quality of life improvements, with content taking a backseat. I am currently working on the Christmas Update, as well as continuing development for Act 3 and Atlas Invasions.

Additions
Steam Leaderboard
  • Added the ability to upload your statistics to a leaderboard. This can be done within the Statistics menu and will upload your stats alongside your Steam name.
Mini-Bosses
  • Added 1 new Mini-Boss to the Tangle Area in the Eternal Battleground.
  • The boss drops 1 new versatile weapon.
Interface
  • Added rarity outlines to items and equipment.
  • Redesigned a majority of the interface.
  • Updated several descriptions within the in-game Guide.

Changes
Campaign
  • Added Buff Plates to the Tomb Encounter to make it less punishing.
Treasures Menu
Item Filter
  • Removed Auto-Salvage from this menu and replaced it with an Item Filter. The Item Filter will automatically salvage items below the selected Rarity. Rare Drop Table items and Unique items are whitelisted and will always drop, regardless of the filter setting.

Speedboosts
  • Added a visual indicator showing the amount of Speedboosts remaining. Previously, this was hidden, causing some confusion.
  • Slightly adjusted the Speedboosts granted by Skills to better fit the binary bar.

Items & Equipment
Astral Equipment
  • All items found with Astral Rarity will now have affixes of the highest tier possible.

Balance
Sharktooth Necklace
  • Changed the Rarity (Cosmetic).
  • Now Unmodifiable.
Developer Note: Generally, I would prefer to avoid nerfing items. However, the power gained from the Blood Hunt Skill is significant enough to restrict the amulet. Alternatively, I could adjust the Skill itself, but I'll review feedback first.

Skills
Chain Ball (Normal Flails)
  • Now has 'magnetism' towards enemies. Every 0.6–1.2 seconds, a Chain Ball within range of an enemy will launch itself towards that enemy. This makes the skill more consistent at dealing damage.
  • Now lasts until the start of your next turn. The knockback effect only triggers during your turn.
  • Added new visuals.

Cleave (Normal Axes)
  • Removed the blood gibs to improve clarity.
  • Increased the pull strength of the vortex.
  • Massively increased the attack rate. It triggers the same number of attacks, but at a much faster rate.
  • Old: 4 attacks over 1 second.
  • New: 4 attacks over 0.4 seconds.

Vortex (Legion)
  • Removed the blood gibs to improve clarity.
  • Increased the pull strength of the vortex.
  • Massively increased the attack rate. It triggers the same number of attacks, but at a much faster rate.
  • Old: 4 attacks over 1 second.
  • New: 4 attacks over 0.4 seconds.
  • Now spawns the additional axes at the location of the vortex, not the player's location.

Bash (Normal Hammers)
  • You can now use Jump Boosts to launch a Bash Projectile towards your cursor's location.
  • You can now right-click to brake a Bash Projectile.

Explosive Bash (Boom Hammer)
  • You can now use Jump Boosts to launch a Bash Projectile towards your cursor's location.
  • You can now right-click to brake a Bash Projectile.

Poison Slap (Ghoul Smasher)
  • Now works as follows: When you collide with an enemy, you strike them 4 additional times, each strike having a 100% chance to poison and knock the enemy in a random direction.

Avarice (Pharaoh's Crown)
  • Now works as follows: Whenever you loot an item that is salvaged by the Item Filter, you gain +25 Bonus Fortune and a small Speedboost. Additionally, items salvaged by the Item Filter are salvaged at 10x their value.

Statuses
Poison
  • Poison has been bugged for some time. It is supposed to deal percentile damage when another poison proc is applied. This has now been fixed, alongside a slight buff.
  • The first initial poison proc will now deal damage equal to 8–12% of the target's Constitution. Every additional poison application will deal damage equal to 1–3% of the target's Constitution. Poison is still applied at the start of an enemy's turn.

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed a bug where Cleave would trigger multiple Speedboosts on kill.
  • Fixed a bug where bosses in the T4 Colosseum Atlas Core area would drop T6 items.

Known Issues
  • When launching the game in Fullscreen mode, it sometimes creates a smaller window that is difficult to interact with.

UI IMPROVEMENTS

  • The Mini-map is cleaned up, highlighting the level layout.
  • When entering secret rooms, shows them on the minimap and plays a little jingle.
  • Added a new larger player icon on the minimap.
  • Keys are highlighted with a key icon on the minimap.

  • Show movement speed icons in combat for both heroes and enemies.
  • Added mouse controls and cursor icon for jumping between platforms, stepping stones and when using speed pads.
  • Info tooltip UI now shows card type and subtype
  • Added Info tooltip to the Victory screen, allowing you to inspect status effects and cards there.
  • Harmony mana shows amount healed, and doesn't show particles anymore when at full life.
  • Centralized the completion star above bosses' heads.



    GAMEPLAY

  • Increased the amount of interest rooms (blue dots on minimap) per level by +43%.
  • Increased the chance of recruitable wanderers showing up by +100%.
  • Increased the chance of chests spawning by +40%.
  • Healing spells no longer heal enemies.
  • Reduced amount of burning caused by fire abilities, especially enemies in the volcano biome.
  • Can now use water cards directly on heroes to remove burning.
  • Channeler's main ability 'Power Up' can now be used on other objects, as if using a might card. It can also no longer be abused for huge damage gains before combat.

    BUG FIXES

  • Fixed a crash that could occur when taking the 'Insanity' curse, while having modified card subtypes in your deck.
  • Fixed a crash related to using bombs in combat while having the metabolism relic.
  • Fixed a glitch where the total ability damage was doubled for each enemy critted. Oops!
  • Fixed a major bug where the new quick-load key (F9) could empty your deck.


  • Fixed a bug where using your main ability with the mouse on a liftable/pushable object would interact with it instead.
  • Fixed a bug where you couldn't push blocks over opened gates when using the mouse.
  • Fixed a bug where using Heal outside of combat would not properly check for mana cost on repeated use.
  • Fixed a bug where you could reuse 'Earth' cards or liftable rocks on already activated cairns.
  • Fixed a bug where using the 'Unstuck' button would overwrite the backup save used for the 'Reset level' button.
  • Fixed a bug where the option to enable always showing life would not save in the settings screen.


  • Fixed a bug where the 'Star deck' relic would not properly lock/unlock cards in your deck.
  • Fixed a bug where the 'Obelisk' relic only worked while in cover, and could give its damage boost to enemies.
  • Fixed a bug where untaken loot would not disappear between combats.
  • Fixed a bug where cards could be smuggled between combat turns by dragging them.
  • Fixed a bug where creatures could be knockbacked through their allies.


  • Fixed a graphical bug where entering a level would reveal another part of the minimap.
  • Fixed a graphical bug where the card name was sometimes hidden behind the card when 'show card name' settings was enabled.

    Nov 25th

  • Increased object permanency: Code has been separated for when an object or creature is created normally compared to being created by reloading a save. This fixes various bugs where objects were randomized every time you reloaded a save. Examples include: The outfit a mercenary was wearing, the size of a slime, and whether a barrel has coins in it or not.

  • Can now use abilities on missing tiles in combat.
  • Can no longer flee combat in the tutorial.

  • Fixed an error that would show when loading a save after fully closing and restarting the game.
  • Fixed a bug where recruitable wanderers would disappear after reloading save.
  • Fixed a bug where falling in the water would not teleport you back to spawn.
  • Fixed a bug where shovels could dig holes on water and lava tiles.
  • Fixed a bug where putting a liftable pot on speed pads could allow the pot to break multiple times.

  • Fixed a visual bug where the Info UI was temporary stuck after hovering over a card just before entering combat.
  • Fixed a visual bug where Statuses near hero boxes would overlap.

BALANCING
- The number of bans has been reduced by 1 base for weapons and items.

- Fixed heals not being affected by the 0.1 second lifesteal cooldown. (Sometimes the chainsaw heal did not work; it was blocked by the lifesteal heal)
- Increased enemy stats during infinite waves, +20%
- At level 50+ in infinite mode: Enemies have their stats increased by 2000%, their speed is increased by 400%. It's time to finish your game !
- It is no longer possible to cause a gacha fighter's passive on the appearance of items during boss waves.

INTERFACE
- Debug the clicking of weapons on the choice of weapons, while having the mouse on one of the weapon's stats.
- Added the appearance of tooltips when you play on the keyboard, or gamepad on the items on your character sheet.
- You can now navigate through your items to access the explanations.
- Added resolution: 2560x1440 to the options list.

Hello, our dear players, we bring you a lot of good news! Our coders have done a lot of work and almost finished fixing bugs. Our entire team hopes that now no one and nothing will stop you ❤️

What you need to do to play the bug free version:
1. Delete old saves in ideal situation.
*For those who have only played the release version, we tell you why you need to do this. We have been reworking the save system to make them work correctly. Old saves may conflict with new ones 😭
2. Update the build to the latest version on Steam.
3. Enjoy the game 😘

We'll also write down what we've managed to fix in the meantime. If you found some bug you had, we've got a match! No joke, we just fixed it. Watch:

Been working on a new hero and endless mode... hopefully I get them done for Christmas. In the meantime here are the weekly fixes.


Gameplay

  • Increased number of units in town per upgrades
  • Increased thorn plants bonus per level
  • Giant axe cleave increased to 1.5
  • Builder potion is now worth more
  • Increased death spawn numbers
  • Fox attack delay reduced to 0.3
