Greetings Commanders,

Powerplay 2.0 has been out for a few weeks now and we are really grateful for all the feedback and reported issues you have shared.

Our intent with our balancing is to ensure a diversity of gameplay activities are viable within Powerplay 2.0, and that no activity feels significantly weaker than any other. We are continually closely monitoring for any activities which could be disproportionally more advantageous to undertake than any other, potentially creating a meta that players feel forced to play in order to rank up or participate in the conflict.

Following prevention of several exploits we will now be in a position to improve balance on the overall experience of Powerplay 2.0. We will be closely looking into:

  • Significantly reducing the amount of time/effort required to earn early modules
  • Significantly reducing the amount of time/effort required to increase ranks
In the meantime we are releasing Ascendancy Update 1 (19.01) on Thursday 21 November.

Update Notes

Powerplay 2.0
  • Fixed an exploit where Powerplay Data could be downloaded multiple times from the same Data Port
  • Aisling Duval's Powerplay systems now correctly flag Imperial Slaves & Narcotics as illegal. Crime does not pay.
  • Archon Delain Powerplay systems now correctly open Black Markets if they are not already present. OK...here crime might pay.
  • Pranav Antal now closes Black Markets in Fortified/Stronghold systems.
  • Merit awards for destroying Ship Launched Fighters have been reduced.
Ships
  • Adjustments made to Flight Tutorial combat drones reducing their damage output.
  • Type-8's collision has been adjusted so that the "arms" now have correct collision.
Galaxy Map
  • Resolved a crash when using VR Power Play strategic view on Galaxy map
  • Filters on the Galaxy Map are no longer auto selected when you hover your mouse over them

Major fixes:

- Fixed a bug that could make Gold go lower than 0, preventing the player from starting a run
- Fixed a bug that prevented the shops from initializing
- Fixed a bug that prevented enemies from spawning, or the toad from being placed on the map
- Fixed a bug that could lead to a softlock during the tutorial when playing on Steamdeck

Minor fixes:

- Fixed a bug about Dash+ not always dealing the proper amount of damage
- Fixed a bug where the Veve Carver could grant more than 3 Veves
- Fixed a bug about the Game Over XP Bar not filling correctly
- Fixed a bug about Holy Water not triggering the correct effect

- Looking into a bug about the Max FPS setting not initializing properly
- Looking into all aspect ratio/resolution issues

Additions/Changes:
  • Construction Themes: Discover and unlock themes for everything you can build and apply them through Build Mode. There's one non-default theme currently available in the playtest, can you find it? 🔍
  • Added a gradual change from yellow to red as Maeve's oxygen depletes while untethered from an air supply.
  • Added the ability to close the tutorial panel popup.
  • Added the ability to boost volume sliders up to 200.
  • Added auto-scroll to bottom of journal entry list.
  • Changed Cave Mushroom material back to old brown one.
  • Disabled physics interaction between loose items and nodes to reduce chance of weird behaviours.
Fixes:
  • Fixed performance degradation due to non-cleanup of item tooltips (thanks Yugubugu!)

DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR'S CUT - AnimatedAnt_505
Hi Porters!

As you know, to celebrate 16 million active users on DEATH STRANDING, we have launched a special Photo Mode campaign that will run for a year (December 2023 to November 2024).

To ensure as many Porters as possible can get involved, we're also running this event here on Steam!

Each month, entries will be accepted according to the theme of each month, and the 10 best photos will be selected. Out of those selected 10, KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS staff will vote for one “Photo of the Month” winner.

The 12 photos of the monthly winners will be used as the cover for each month on the 2025 KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS calendar. This calendar will be sent to the Photo of the Month winners as a prize.

CAMPAIGN RULES
The following rules will apply for this Photo Mode campaign.

  • Do not use other apps to edit the pictures other than the ones in the game’s Photo Mode.
  • Please submit your own photos(Submission will be invalid if you apply using other people’s pictures).
  • If you are capturing it vertically (i.e. portrait), go to the Roll menu and change the settings to tilt it 90° or -90° beforehand.
  • We recommend an aspect ratio of 16:9 (9:16 if vertical).
  • The works selected in the top 10 and Photo of the Month may be used on KOJIMA PRODUCTION's website or social media.
  • Please save the image data.



PRIZE
  • The winner of Photo of the Month will receive a KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS 2025 original calendar (1 person per month, total of 12 people).
