ASTRA: Knights of Veda - es-jmkim

Hello, Masters of the Book. I am Kim Young-mo, the director of ASTRA: Knights of Veda.

On 10/2 we released an update introducing the new gamemode, Beast Battlefront, alongside the Knight of Veda Bikki.

We have gathered your feedback regarding this update and would like to assure our Masters of the Book of our commitment to improve.

Following this update, we will respond to comments received through various channels in sequence.

1. “I’m satisfied with the addition of new PvE content that provides weekly rewards based on rank, as it provides additional motivation. However, it would be good if more products would be available at the Beast Battlefront Shop. In addition, a function to view the Knights setup of those in the leaderboards like in Battlefield of the War Gods should be added.

The Development Team has identified several areas that need improvement for Beast Battlefront. Rest assured that we are hard at work working on this and the other issues mentioned.

In particular, Beast Battlefront Season 2 will introduce various strategic elements to help players achieve higher records. We are carefully considering not only balance, but also ways to make the gameplay more engaging, such as adjusting battle time, difficulty levels, and the utilization of buffs and debuffs in determining what adjustments are to be made.

We are also preparing a practice mode that allows you to access Beast Battlefront related content without using up “Guiding Lantern”. We will also be improving the user experience, by updating the results screen to now show both your current and best record in addition to, as suggested, a function to view the Knights setup of those in the leaderboards.

With all this in mind, Beast Battlefront is just the beginning as we plan to add more ranking-type PvE end-game content in the future such as Celestial Trials, World Boss and Guild Boss during Season 2 alongside PvP content such as Tournament Battle.

2. While 5★ Knights of Veda have been released every update, we have noticed that ever since Death Crown all released have been female. Are there any male Knights of Veda in the works?

Male Knights of Veda currently slated for release include Aslan Liongray and Asha, the leader of the Liongrays and one of the Shadows of the Dark Night.

We are also still continuing to think about adding more male Knights of Veda, pulling from the game’s vast lore for characters to base the new Knights on.

3. With the limited daily supply of Adventurer's Shoes, it's difficult to obtain the desired relics and the necessary skill materials simultaneously. It would be helpful if a replacement function for skill upgrade materials could be introduced, similar to the replace feature for knight ascension materials and weapon ascension materials.

We completely understand your concern and will work to address this as quickly as possible.

In the next update, we will introduce a skill upgrade material replacement function and improve accessibility by making skill upgrade materials obtainable through shops and events, in addition to Veda's Nightmare.

4. The appearance of the mascots that can be obtained from the “Simon’s Amazing Gifts” event looks unique. Are there any plans to add new ones besides “Treasure Keeper” and “Coco”?

We will continue to add more mascots and are planning for fun designs that reflect the seasons and various holidays. We will do our best to present them to you in a satisfactory manner.

This is an overview of what Masters of the Book users might be curious about regarding the upcoming update.

On 10/31, Season 2 of ASTRA: Knights of Veda, titled ‘Tears of the Goddess,’ will be released, featuring a new story, a new area, and a level cap expansion.

Fate and weapon refining levels will also be expanded, and with this increase, the opportunity to increase the power of your Knights are provided.

For Masters of the Book who have maxed out their Knight’s Fate levels and have at some point received at least one more duplicate copy from Call of the Stars, it will be counted retroactively and an additional copy of the Knight of Veda will be provided so that you can upgrade the Knight to Fate Level 7 immediately.

In addition, we plan to provide an additional “Weapon’s Oblivion”, which can reset the enhancements made to weapons, to all Masters of the Book. We hope this will be an opportunity to quickly secure the materials needed to upgrade a weapon to Refinement Level 7, in addition to rewarding all your efforts as you take on the new challenges brought about by Season 2.

Additionally, Oblivion items, which allow for the reset of Accessory and Tunic enhancements will be added, along with various exciting events. Other content previously mentioned will be rolled out sequentially.

We appreciate your continued anticipation and support.

We're working hard to bring you an even more thrilling adventure in Season 2 and will quickly share the post-update roadmap.

Thank you!

I've read in various forums and discussions that releasing a demo is not recommended.

However, considering that I have very little visibility in the first place, I would rather have a playable demo that gives SOME impression leaving SOME people interested; rather than a blank slate for a steam page that PROBABLY NOBODY will have an interest in.

If you weren't interested in the demo. You PROBABLY won't be interested in the full game, which... is why I have a demo. So you don't have to buy something you regret without the chance of playing it beforehand. At least you could wait for these chances, or, move on.

So in other words I have everything to gain and nothing to lose. (Expect my entire game failing on release :D) I need impressions and feedback, because without it, this game will absolutely fail on launch if I don't address it as soon as possible, early in development. Especially with my relatively void state of marketing, and the oversaturation of games in the market; impressions and wishlists are crucial.

While I do believe the demo is fairly polished, the demo is not perfect and has bugs. However I would RATHER have a bad received demo, then a bad game. A bad demo can be improved or taken down.

A bad GAME, can also be improved or delisted, but that has DRASTIC consequences if the game was initially received bad, and CATASTROPHIC consequences if the game becomes delisted.

Anyways, while I will not be posting crucial game content outside the first world for the demo, I will be making quality of life updates to the game, which will include changes to the first world you can play right now. i also will be aiming to have my game in the next steam "next fest".

If you feel inclined to give feedback, you can check out the various links outside of steam, or do it through steam in the reviews or discussion forums. I am new to this process, but I will try to read and address any feedback.

If you also feel like spreading the word of this game to other people, that would genuinely mean a lot! Marketing is hard, and while I am trying to get better and have plans, ultimately it is up to the players interest in the game that grows a community. And on steam, this is a new process so forming player interest is super important.

I will do what I can to make this game enjoyable and fun, while also (attempting to) reach out to various people and participating in the nextfest. Everything outside of that is up to you as a player/viewer. You don't need to spread the word (only if you want to of course!), but simply playing the demo and wishlisting it comes a long way!

And if you enjoyed it, then, well, that's why I want to be an indie game developer; to make fun games!

That is all for now in terms of this post. Just wanted to bring some context to my thought process!

Dear Chieftains,

To provide a better gaming experience, the server will undergo maintenance. It will be temporarily unavailable starting from October 17, at 7:00 AM UTC, with an expected downtime of 30 minutes. Fixed the issue where the Stash Bag and Stash Box were not displayed when Image Rendering was set to Medium or Low

Fixed the issue where Barrack NPCs could be trapped by player constructions

Fixed the issue with the dual-blade initial mastery "Lightning Speed" where holding the right button to perform successive actions caused overly frequent interruptions, appearing abnormal

Isle Goblin Playtest - Kilowatt Games
"0.0.54 - New furnaces, quality of life, bug fixes

- Furnaces now work much like Minecraft instead of being instantaneous. I've gone back and forth on this a few times. They started out where you could only put one item in at a time and it would slowly bake. Then I decided to make it instant for any quantity. Now it takes some time. Different furnaces can have different speeds, same with different materials. Gold ore should take longer than iron, etc.
- Quick stack, loot all, and deposit all buttons have been added to containers
- ""Deposit to nearby chests"" and ""Quick stack to nearby chests"" buttons have been added to player inventory.
- You can now throw items by pressing T
- Hoes now get locked into a mode when you first begin to hold the button. I'm curious how y'all will feel about this one. It feels more intuitive, but not at the same time.
- Added a ""save and continue"" button
- Fixed the stupid bug where you can't plant crops. I broke them when fixing another issue where you could place wood floor under an existing crop. both issues should be resolved."
...
