At long last, it is here! The first major update to Archaelund has arrived. Want to join Beta and try it? Here are the instructions. I advise you to not overwrite all of your previous saves, just in case! this is Beta testing, remember.

Here is the provisional list of changes (I'll keep adding and fixing while testing goes along, so definitive 0.8.1 changelog may differ).

New Content & Improvements

-Added a new outdoor region east of the Galeb Peninsula, with a town and a new dungeon to explore. Some dungeons and area sections are still not accessible.
-12 new side-quests added (one of them non-completable, marked as such on journal).
-Level cap raised to 5!
-Many new talents implemented.
-Rank III spells implemented only for Impetus and Mentalism Disciplines, the rest are on the way. Please don't raise other Disciplines to Rank III yet.
-New companion available after one of the new quests is completed.
-New Alchemy recipes (Difficulty 6 & 7), some of which need to be purchased or found. Crafting recipes will come in the next update.
-All skills are now implemented and have at least a few checks present in the game, although some like *Maps & Charts* will see new functions added in the future.

Balance

-Talents Beast Mastery and Tenacious Fortitude I, II and III have been improved, please see the new descriptions.
-Spell Torment of Needles now deals 1d6+2 damage per round (was 1d6).
-Spell Searing Malison instant damage is unchanged, but afterwards will now deal 1d8 damage per round (was 1d6).
-Slightly reduced the amount of enemies for certain encounters in the Peninsula.
-Talent Herbalist is now adapted to the updated skill system; it was unintendedly giving an extra herb foraged in nearly every case.
-Potion of Healing slighly adjusted in effect and price(slightly cheaper and less potent). New potions available via Alchemy.
-Ghosts are now more resilient to physical, cold, fire and toxic damage.
-Lifeless creature bonuses increased slightly.

Content changes & adjustments

-Added the proper loot to certain chest in the Redaxe Tomb.
-Creature type *Spirit* renamed to *Fey* for clarity.
-Some outcomes of quests *The Ancient Lantern* and *Wielder of the Red Axe* now also grant Urendale reputation. This is gained retroactively.

Bugfixes

-On some ocassions, a combat spell with zero rounds remaining would linger forever on a character, especially when its caster was killed after casting it. Fixed.
-NPCs were not receiving its correct Critical Defense. Fixed.

Golden cards

These babies rarely spawn on harder difficulties and can be stolen. Once deposited at the delivery box home, they can provide a range of bonuses for the reminder of the run (until you fail). For example, the diamond card lowers store prices by 25%.

All in all, game is looking good, progress is good, just a bit more patience and the demo will be available, featuring co-op up to 2 people. ːsteamhappyː

Campaign — The Next Chapter of Black Ops

Enter a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. The Gulf War dominated headlines and there was growing mistrust in government reflected across the music, television, and pop culture of the time.

While the Gulf War commands the global spotlight, a shadowy clandestine force has infiltrated the highest levels of the CIA, branding anyone who resists as traitors. Exiled from their agency and country that once hailed them as heroes, Black Ops veteran Frank Woods and his team find themselves hunted by the military machine that created them.



Join Woods and his protégé Troy Marshall, both now working for CIA handler Jane Harrow, a fearless and brilliant leader who helps manage their relationships in the agency. However, when an operation goes wrong, Woods and Marshall are suspended and forced to go rogue.

They must build their own team of rogue agents, including Felix Neumann, a technical genius, and Sevati Dumas, a mysterious assassin. The infamous Russell Adler also returns! His allegiances and motivations remain unclear, but the team needs all the help they can get.

In the thrilling action to come, there’s just one rule above every other: Don’t trust anyone.

Meet the cast of characters most important to the Black Ops 6 Campaign narrative. We covered Frank Woods, Russell Adler, and Helen Park in Part 1. Now we’re highlighting some new faces you’ll encounter in the Black Ops 6 Campaign:
Jane Harrow


An operations specialist in the CIA’s Special Activities Division (SAD), Jane Harrow coordinates mission planning and intelligence gathering alongside multiple paramilitary handlers. Harrow reports directly to SAD Deputy Director Daniel Livingstone.
Troy Marshall


Marshall has been making a name for himself in the field. A protĂ©gĂ© of Frank Woods, he is a methodical leader driven by a strong moral compass. With a single-minded focus on overcoming adversity and a stubborn streak that borders on recklessness, it isn’t surprising that Woods and Marshall share common ground. Both men are now working with CIA handler Jane Harrow.
Felix Neumann


Raised in East Berlin after the formation of the GDR, Felix Neumann excelled at sports but showed little interest in them, preferring to read or tinker with appliances and electronic devices. Following compulsory military service, Neumann was recruited and trained by the Stasi.

However, after several years within their ranks Felix began to regret his association with the brutal Stasi. He started selling state secrets to West Germany and its allies to build a nest egg, with a plan to eventually flee East Germany. After successfully escaping to the West, he made a living by providing the criminal underworlds of Europe with his technological expertise and inventions.
Sevati Dumas


Taken in by the Guild, one of the Avalon Crime Factions, at a young age, Sevati Dumas loyally served the crime family as they trained her to become an assassin and espionage expert. Her allegiance changed when she met the love of her life, an idealistic man who helped reveal the ugliness of the criminal underworld.

When Dumas expressed her desire to quit the life of an assassin, the crime family manipulated her into thinking that her partner was an inside agent for a rival crime family. She orchestrated his death, but afterward discovered that the ordeal was a setup to keep her in line.

Sevati disowned her adopted family and became an independent assassin, funneling her resources into waging a personal war against the Avalon Crime Faction. Her exploits eventually caught the eye of CIA operatives in Europe who were eager to use her uncanny ability to track down elusive targets.
Campaign: Your First Steps


Select Single Player from the Black Ops 6 main menu to reach the Campaign screen. Get an overview of the first mission and view completion rewards earned for progressing and follow the prompts when starting the Campaign to choose your difficulty setting.
Choose Your Difficulty
Choose one of four difficulty levels when playing the Campaign. The higher the difficulty, the greater the challenge. You can change the game’s difficulty at any time.
  • Recruit: For players who are new to Call of Duty.
  • Regular: Your abilities in combat will be tested.
  • Hardened: Your skills will be strained.
  • Veteran: You will not survive.
Gameplay Tips


Consider these tips when getting started with the Campaign to make your journey into the next Black Ops chapter a smooth one:

Know Your Inventory: Check your in-game backpack for supplies throughout the Campaign. Opening the backpack reveals the Equipment Wheel selection screen where various tools and explosives can be equipped, including series favorites like the RC-XD.

Check Your Vitals: Keep your Operator in fighting shape by watching the health and armor meters on your HUD. If your health bar depletes all the way, your Operator goes down for the count. Seek out armor pieces in the environment to bulk up your defenses.

Renovations: Seek out piles of cash while playing the Campaign to invest in your Safehouse, a manor perched atop a granite cliff that used to serve as a KGB Black Site in the 1950s and ‘60s. As the Safehouse evolves, gain additional customization options to fine tune your Operator for the next mission.

Evidence Board: Check the manor’s Evidence Board between missions to access additional intel and mission briefings. This is where the tactical planning occurs. Piece together the puzzles within the storyline between deciding on your best course of action.

You know what they say—no rest for the wicked! And that’s us right now, thanks to all the amazing feedback you keep sending. We’re not stopping until every Tinkerlander is loving their time in our tiny adventure.

But before we jump into the fun stuff (like improvements!), there’s something we need to mention. We’ve come across a particularly tricky bug that’s out of our control because of how Steam works.

How to deal with "Error in action number 1" crash
If you’ve played the prologue before, you might run into the "Error in action number 1" crash when launching the game. Don’t worry—it just means Steam cloud trying to load some older game files. To fix it, head over to %appdata%/Roaming/Shipwrecked/players and delete the player files.

You should also turn off Steam Cloud syncing by right-clicking the game, going to Properties, and unchecking the Cloud option.

Alright, now let’s get to the exciting part—what’s been improved in the new demo!

New Additions
  • Added <Advanced Hotbar> toggle in the options menu, allowing players to turn it off and return to the previous hotbar.
  • Ticket report tool now shares some extra data with us so we can have more intel about the bugs. (inventory, equipment and gamemode)
Improvements & Adjustments
  • HP and MP potion buy price decreased.
  • Most of the potions sell price was reduced.
  • Added a limit to the Blood Armor lifesteal bonus.
  • Minimap is now closed when the player dies.
  • Island/Worlds save location was moved to a new folder. The game will still load games from the previous folder if no new worlds are found.
Bug Fixes
  • Fixed a bug that would duplicate sprites in some worlds.
  • Fixed a bug that would prevent players from interacting with objects in some worlds.
  • Fixed a crash that would occur when opening the map and the crafting menu at the same time.
  • Fixed a bug that would make all items dropped from breaking a container lose their affixes.
  • The game will now warn and try to fix islands that were corrupted due to Steam cloud save.
  • Big Wooden Chest can now be open from all sides.
  • The player will no longer move when dashing while the game is paused.
  • The player will no longer move when on a minecart while the game is paused.
  • The player will no longer move when hooked while the game is paused.
  • The player will no longer move when on ice while the game is paused.
  • Ticket report text will no longer be cleared when the window loses focus.
  • Ticket report text can now be pasted with CTRL+V.
  • Tiles can now be placed below the cauldron.
  • Fixed a bug that would make players see other players take freezing damage even when they had protection.
  • Fixed some visual effects that weren't synced for all players in multiplayer.
  • Fixed some sound effects that weren't synced for all players in multiplayer.
  • Fixed a bug that would crash the game when dying by a poison tick.
  • Fixed a bug that would make some buffs and debuffs not apply to all players in multiplayer.
  • Coccoon, Frog Prince Altar and Corrupted Heart will no longer spawn if their spawn position is blocked.
  • Fixed a bug that would desync blocks in multiplayer if a block was placed and another player moved to that position due to latency.
  • Fixed a bug that would make directional shadows disappear while low specs were disabled.
  • Fixed a bug that would prevent using weapons with fast animations (leaf gun, boomerang) if fps were low.

We've come a long way since the release in Early Access!
We've added a lot of new mechanics, fixed a huge number of bugs, and generally improved the game experience.
All this was possible thanks to our players who supported us in the beginning!
Thank you to everyone who bought the game, and especially thank you to those who supported us in the group in discord. Thank you for promptly sending us bug reports.

Tomorrow night we will release the last version of the game before the full launch! In this version we tried to fix all the remaining bugs and flaws!
