Let me first say thank you to everyone who has supported and provided feedback. This patch has been in the works for far to long and I apologize for how long it has taken. Those that participated in the open playtest have seen most of what's in this patch. It's essentially the open playtest version with some bug fixes / tweaks and just polishing things up.

PATCH v0.8.3

- 5 New enemy types added.
- 4 New upgrade trees (16 total upgrades).
- 1 New upgrade tree for each gun.
- New gun mod system (replacing the old parts system) and several new mods to experiment with.
- New wave based game mode. (WIP)
- Various bug fixes / performance improvements.
- Some graphical improvements (new color palette for entire game, shaders, etc.).
- Added support for color blindness correction (Protanopia, Deuteranopia, and Tritanopia).
- New pixel font by Poppy Works (more language support will be coming). Simplified Chinese is currently in the game. I will be working on the Steam page to properly implement Simplified Chinese as well as more languages.
- New save system. Unfortunately this means you will start with a new fresh save.

How are you all doing?
Currently, Type-NOISE: Shonen Shojo is in full development!

Recently, I’ve been attending various events, including TGS 2024, tissue distribution in Akihabara, and a pitch event for publishers.
Let me share my experiences with you this time.

◆ TGS 2024
TGS is one of the biggest game events, but since it's held in Tokyo, I hadn’t had the chance to attend before. This year was my first time!
In addition to that, I had several appointments with companies, and we had some good discussions. And that pretty much sums up my TGS experience.





However, I did notice there seemed to be a lot of indie games this year. Since it was my first time, I can’t say for sure if there were more than usual, but I did hear some people mentioning how indie games were quite abundant. This just shows how much the indie game scene is booming these days.
Unfortunately, I couldn't exhibit my game this time, but I’m aiming for next year!

I got some great inspiration, and I plan to channel that into my development!

◆ Publisher Pitch Event: "Sakura Game Pitch"
Sakura Game Pitch is an event where indie developers present their games to domestic and international publishers. It's co-hosted by 404 Not Found, a hub for indie creators that opened this July in Shibuya.







Type-NOISE: Shonen Shojo was selected, so I went to Shibuya to give a presentation and meet with publishers.
I delivered the presentation in Japanese while it was simultaneously translated into English, which helped me keep a relaxed pace and enjoy the process.

During the networking session after the presentation, the concept of trauma in our game seemed to resonate with people, and I managed to hand out tissues to promote the game. It felt like a lot of people were interested!

I’m looking forward to continuing discussions with several companies.

◆ Akihabara Tissue Distribution Campaign: Fourth Round!
In an ongoing effort to raise awareness of my game Type-NOISE: Shonen Shojo, I handed out tissues in Akihabara.

Date: October 28, 2024
Location: Around Akihabara Station
Time: 3:00 PM until all tissues are distributed
Items: Tissues with flyers including a QR code linking to the Steam store page (approx. 250 packs)
Permission was obtained from the local police station.
I even had a few people come up and say, “I’ve been waiting for this!” and others who seemed curious and started conversations. It made me really happy.





So, what about the Steam store page access numbers for October 28? Unfortunately, they went down...
Results

Data gathered from Steam on the 28th:
Access: Decreased by about 25.73%
1st round: +14.84%
2nd round: +36.65%
3rd round: +212.08%
4th round: -25.73%

It’s not always easy, huh...
It seems like the lack of recent events or noticeable exposure has led to a drop in access. I've also been pretty swamped with development lately, and I haven’t posted on my note or social media in 3 or 4 weeks.
Still, I feel like this kind of result is pretty typical for tissue distribution. I’m not discouraged, and I’ll keep pushing forward!

The SS Destiny Disaster - Mars On Fire Games
After a ton of work, and I mean really a ton of work... The SS Destiny Disaster has a new and improved demo! This is Demo 2.0, and it is drastically different than the previous build. I am also beginning to add some story elements to the game. The demo's "story" will not reveal anything for the full game.

There is really too much to list for what has been added and updated for this demo, but here's some of the main highlights:
  • Lighting has been brightened and overall improved
  • More/new enemy models
  • New rooms and areas (and many others that are not a part of the demo)
  • With these new rooms and areas, lots of details and models have been created
  • Data is now saved
  • Many, many, many bug fixes
  • Code has been implemented to allow for story and scripting elements
  • New sounds

Idle Spiral - idle.system.company
Patch Notes
- Fixed an issue where the level of Pythagoras in Theory only increased by 1000 per second while using Memory of Formula.
- The effects of Water Spiral have been significantly changed as follows:
The automation of Line Number, which was previously a passive effect, is now a default feature.
Two new passive effects have been added as replacements:
1. Attack Speed increases based on the progress of the Line Number gauge. This effect is active even when Line Number is not triggered.
2. Z-Reactor Capacity is increased.
- Fixed an issue where the Discord link was broken.

We apologize for the wait! With the implementation of Memory of Formula on Mobile, we are resuming updates for the PC version. Alongside the addition of new content, we are equally focused on fixing bugs, improving QoL (Quality of Life), and refreshing the UI. We appreciate your continued testing and support!

The Monster War - Stew Pidasohl
There's more patch notes than I can provide right now. I wasn't prepared to provide a big list lol but basically I fixed everything and replaced all of the meshes so that it is no longer going for that "realistic" fantasy look but instead is very cartoonish and childlike as the game is meant for children.

Hope you enjoy, I think it's SO much better!

Rumple Town - goobatog
I was scratching my head for a long time trying to work out why Rumple Town took up 3GB worth of hard disk space, and after roughly a month on and off I finally cracked it. I have fixed a few little bugs, but more importantly, I have dramatically lowered the amount of space that it takes up. Sorry its not the most exciting of patches, I have also, through popular demand, brought back the original campaign map back to its former glory.
