MegaQuest Playtest - brandon
Hello There,

Todays build has only a few small changes.

- Rats and Attack Bats now have more hit points
- Skullbats (boss bats) will drop ammo or hearts (previously coin)
- Level Up has HUD/VFX/SFX event now to feel more impactful (still poorly communicates rewards)
- Additional Minor Tuning and Bug Fixes throughout

I will be tuning some of the weapons, especially the mace and dual-sword which are quite limited and feel crude. The shield will probably employ a timing mechanic. It is pointed out to be very OP.

Coming up, I want to further tune the NPCs to attempt to make combat more interesting.

I may be introducing a few smarter/challenging enemy types and/or extending content soon. As requested.

I am lagging on the camera work still but I think it will really help out with issues facing the boss battle.

After Void started invading the island the A.T sent the I.C.E into a time machine to give the Gem time to heal, sending everyone back to Season 1 Chapter 3. Explore the old map once again and enjoy the simplicity from Oct 9th - Nov 9th.

Hello castaways. This week we are bringing you some fixes mainly apparent on saved games.

Patch notes

New
  • Added voice slider to the audio settings.
  • Added more clear messages when something can't be added to the compost bin.

Fixes
  • Fixed infinite immortal sharks.
  • Fixed wrong far island calculation, causing framerate drops near the shores.
  • Fixed missing playable button on the Escape quest upon loading a previous save.
  • Fixed death screen UI calculating survived time wrongly, which also caused times to go into negatives.
  • Fixed inability to add fuel to fires sometimes.
  • Fixed extreme speed when jumping, more obvious when bunnyhopping.
  • Fixed progress bar appearing on the water collector when you build a campfire near it.
  • Fixed inability to destroy water collector.
  • Fixed angled rack having no collision.
  • Fixed pepper and coffee plants being too bright compared to the rest.
  • Fixed low framerates on saved games sometimes.
  • Fixed an issue causing loaded saves to not start at all.
  • Fixed an issue causing loaded saves to start with no grass and no quest tracker.
  • Fixed an issue causing insta-death on loaded saves.

Quality of Life
  • Fishing rod returns metal scrap when disassembled.
  • You are able to decompose more things.
  • You can slice banana leaves for decomposing.
  • You get at least one item back when destroying things that have low requirements. This means you get Wilson back when destroying the scarecrow.
  • Improved loot from wrecks.
  • Lowered shark axe teeth requirement.

Developer notes
We are deploying another patch mid week to tackle things that didn't make it this patch: Rest of localization and unobtainable sticky notes and other quest items. Please keep the feedback coming, whether it's positive or negative, as it greatly influences the next patches.

Hello to all the train enthusiasts! (◕‿◕)

First of all, we want to say: "¡Gracias, México!" Your incredible enthusiasm has truly impressed us, and we are immensely grateful! We also noticed how much easier it became for many of you to play in your native language, so we will continue translating the game into more languages!

The next patch will be all about new content, bringing exciting new acts and even more adventures. The wait is almost over, but in the meantime, here is our second major patch to keep you entertained!

What's New:
● Added three new localizations: French, Korean, and Japanese! If you come across any errors — feel free to let us know, and we'll fix them!
● Some endings have been adjusted to make them easier to achieve. We understand that some randomness was a bit frustrating, so... here you go ^_^.

Bug Fixes:
● Fixed some strange repetition issues to make the game more enjoyable.
● Updated the interface to ensure all languages display correctly.
● Some objects wandered off to incorrect layers, but we've put them back in place.
● Added a bit of optimization to prevent sudden performance drops!

3D Don't Die Mr Robot - Infinite State Games
Who likes leaderboards? We do! Since gazing mesmerised at the Commando high score table in a pub in Malvern and listening to that music that just says "enter your name please" - leaderboards have been an integral part of how we see the form and function of videogames.

3DDMR lends itself to leaderboards so easily because of its endurance based numerical score nature. But not every leaderboard is score!

With this update every game mode, every coin collected - chances are they have their own leaderboard.

Celestial Crown - skyironsword
With Kira Seine moving out of beta, we wanted to briefly talk about her history and design. Crown is a game about constantly changing your build. To encourage that, each enemy is designed to be a unique threat that incentivizes certain types of deckbuilding.

Amaya Everill was formerly responsible for the entirety of the block manipulation theme. However, this didn't really encourage you to build your deck in a specific way. Cards like Assassinate would punish you for blocking, while Shuriken Barrage would punish you for not blocking. We decided to split this theme into two separate characters. Amaya still uses the various piercing attacks, while Kira now has cards with additional effects when fully unblocked. This means that a deck that's effective against Amaya is unlikely to perform well against Kira.

Based on testing of last week's beta patch, Kira is effectively fulfilling her new role in Restless Parish. As a result, we are implementing her directly with no changes to her deck.

Version 0.62.1, the updated version of the previous beta build, is now live on all branches.
