After seeing that many people from other countries are visiting the page, I've decided to implement some localization to the game.
First off, I have finished the Japanese localization and currently working on the Simplified Chinese localization. This means Japanese and Simplified Chinese language will be available before Early Access.
With this update i've been focusing on bug fixing and performance improvements. A lot of under-the-hood changes have been made in a most-likely futile effort to get the game running faster on weaker machines, I hope it helps!
With that said, here's the changelog you all know and love:
Additions
New cleaning sphere item comes free with every save file
More crafting mingame sprites (WIP)
New/updated merchant dialogue
New info pop-ups for the tutorial and shop items
Cursor now locks to the game window during gameplay if edge-panning is enabled
Added discord join link and bug report button
New beta-tester exclusive item will spawn in every save file loaded from now until early access
Changes
Clicking "pin" on pinned scrolls now unpins the scroll
Many minor adjustments made to the tutorial

Early access is getting closer and closer, are you excited yet? As always, please report any bugs you find ASAP in the discord, thanks!!!
Hello everyone, and welcome to the announcement post.
As the title reads, the free demo is finally live! Anyone can go and try out the game for FREE! I've been working my butt off the last few weeks to get this out, so i'm both very relieved and nervous that it's finally public!
For those of you who don't know me,
My name is Pinapl, and i'm the sole developer of this game! I've been working on it as a hobby for the past year and a half, and i'm pretty excited to finally get it in the hands of some players. I'm a self-taught developer and artist, so it's been a bit of a rocky climb, but the game is coming out splendidly if I do say so myself.
Anyways, enough about me...
What's in the Demo?
With the demo version, you'll be able to get a good taste of what Alnico has to offer. The game starts with the beginner tutorial by default and will guide you through the various mechanics and how to play. With the demo, of course some features have been locked away.
Limited shop inventory. You'll only be able to buy 5 of the essential smithery tools in the demo.
No Refinery or Furnace upgrades, which means only 4 ore types and a limited number of discoverable crafting recipes, as well as the slowest and least efficient versions of these stations.
No cheats menu, which is the biggest bummer of them all. No 0 grav smithing? LAME!
However, there is 1 plus side, which is if you purchase the full version, your save data WILL carry over! No progress lost, you'll be able to pick up right where you left off in the demo.
With that in mind, please look forward to the full version when it becomes available October 25th!
I'll be working hard getting things ready, I hope you all look forward to the full release!
PS. Please keep in mind this is an early access release, so you may encounter bugs or other issues. If you do, please feel free to let me know either in the community discord or on social media so we can sort it out. Thanks!
