General
The object weight system has been redesigned.
Bottles and some other objects now have mass and affect the character's weight.
NPC behavior has been redesigned. Now, in addition to the old functions, enemies perceive other characters differently: they can run away from them, or they can rush into battle.
Items retain their state after loading the game from the save slot. Items lying on the floor of the Kletka are also now saved. The duplicate of items was deleted when the client reconnects to the server.
Events taking place on floors (including spawn enemies) now affect the number of spawned items.
Innovations
Now inedible items can be stored in the Kletka’s mouth. The edible ones, of course, will be eaten. The fuel level rises when feeding the Kletka directly, but with some penalty.
The Eyeroller can now be picked up. And subsequently feed the Kletka (we do not recommend)…
Vending machines where you can buy live beer are now available in the single player game. The machine model has also been replaced.
The Dropdown event no longer occurs if there is a store 5 floors or less away.
A spray can of paint has been added.
Added rats.
Fixes
The interaction hint now shows the “E” key by default, but you can use the LMB for interactions as before.
The chance of pipes exploding has been reduced.
The bag model has been replaced.
Fixed clipping of doorways.
Fixed a bug with the inability to walk Mushrooms on a flooded floor.
Added Romanian language.
Added some missing localizations. Many thanks to our translation team!

We’ve just rolled out a new improvement in Eldorado FPS to enhance the immersion and intensity of combat. Our ragdoll animations have been overhauled! Now, when you take down enemies (or meet your own unfortunate end), the character's body reacts more realistically to the environment. Instead of ragdolls flying off in unnatural directions, bodies will now remain more grounded and closer to the point of impact, adding a new layer of realism to the battlefield.
This update is all about making every battle feel more authentic and intense, so jump in, take aim, and see the difference for yourself!
Hey there, Let's have a look at the progress made in September and the roadmap of 2024 and 2025.
Modding
Enabling Mod support has become the most important feature on my list lately. I've been thinking a lot on when and how to enable mods for you. Ultimately, giving you the option to create your own content in Pale Coins as soon as possible sounded excellent. Even though the final release might still take a while, you should be able to add and create your own content until then.
Everything in the image above is modded content. The world, the room, the weapon, the armor and even the equipped artefact is loaded externally. All of the needed configs and sprites can be placed in separate mod folders with the option to enable or disable them.
A guide on how to mod your own content will be released eventually.
Roadmap
Demo Update
In the last few months huge progress was made on gameplay improvements, immersion, QoL features and - as mentioned before - mod support. The next logical step is to let you decide if you like the direction Pale Coins is going towards. Therefore, a new demo version will be released in October, which lets you experience the world of Grenmark in a new light. And possibly with new, community created, content.
Obviously, mod support is still in the works and needs more testing. As soon as I feel comfortable with the test coverage, I'll let you know and release a new version.
New Trailer
Behind the scenes, a new trailer has been worked on for a few months. This has been the most challenging excersise for me so far in terms of video editing, pacing and actually finishing the whole thing. The trailer will be released around the time the new demo releases. I am looking forward to that as well.
What's planned for 2024?
After the release of the new demo I want to get back to the different regions in Pale Coins. Some of them need to be reworked, such as the capital. Others are still missing and have to be implemented. By the end of the year, I want to have a majority of the regions and dungeons finished.
What's planned for 2025?
Unfortunately, I won't be able to finish everything needed in 2024. Therefore, development will go on in 2025. The following is planned until the final release:

We have made the following balance adjustments:
Heroes:
PLAGUE WARLOCK MP recovery 1.2 => 1
Treasures:
SINDOREI MOONLIT RING - Phase 1 Whenever a rare skill is refreshed in the store, the reward is 25 => 20 gold coins.
GOBLIN PART - Phase 3 The price of [Random Skill] in the skill store is reduced from 15 => 10 gold coins.
INSURANCE POLICY When a hero levels up, an extra 50/55/70 => 50/50/65 gold coins are obtained.
PRIMORDIAL RELIC It costs 20 => 50 gold coins to actively purchase 1 => 3 points of character life, and it can be used at most 12 => 5 times.
SACRIFICE PENDANT At the start of each round, it automatically attempts to sacrifice 2 points of character life in exchange for 100 => 120 gold coins.
BORROW CONTRACT Immediately obtain 1000/1200/1400 gold coins, but the basic income for the next 3 rounds will be reduced by 300/350/400 => 250/300/350 gold coins.
CURE POTION Restores 8 => 10 points of life to the player's character
We have been concerned about the strength issue of the random stream for a long time. After internal discussions and detailed data analysis, we have made the above changes carefully. Subsequently, we will continuously track various data in the game and will not allow gameplay that overly disrupts the experience to occur. Thank you all for supporting our game.
