All Lost Ark servers and regions will be taken offline on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 12:00 AM PT for our weekly maintenance. During this time, additional adjustments will be made to EAC. Downtime is estimated to last up to 4 hours.
Following the maintenance period, all players will receive a gift in their product inventories to help them continue through the Transcendence System as Tier 4 approaches! We’ve seen a lot of feedback from the community and reviewed player data surrounding the western balance changes to Behemoth. With the changes to Transcendence and Elixirs that also arrived with the ‘Chase The Storm’ update, we’ve seen feedback that newer 1620 characters are struggling with damage contribution or are being gatekept due to their Transcendence level. While Behemoth is clearable with a party of 1620s, we wanted to provide a gift to help players juice their characters up for the raid in response to the feedback we’ve seen. We looked into slightly tweaking the balance, but Tier 4’s imminent arrival on October 9 will provide an immediate and substantial Item Level boost for 1620 characters using the gear transfer system. We would rather you feel powered-up with lasting effects, such as some help progressing through the Transcendence System. We also hope that the in-game Chase The Storm event continues to help you power up your roster. To support that goal, the “Behemoth Buster” player gift will contain the following:
30 Armor Transcendence Restoration Tickets
10 Weapon Transcendence Restoration Tickets
[Masterwork] Master's Herb Steaks
Thank you for your patience, and we’ll see you in Arkesia soon!

Runa & the Chaikurú Legacy - Fanny Pack Community *******
Since we've announced Runa's early access we've received so much love from you guys! We truly appreciate your trust and continuous support on this journey.
As part of our commitment to you, we want to keep developing and improving the game. That’s why we’re sharing our roadmap with you—a glimpse into the tasks we’ll be tackling as we work towards the official launch of Runa & The Chaikurú Legacy.
The Pixile team is still hard at work on the Super Animal World expansion, which we’re now aiming to release in winter (...or whenever it’s ready), but we have a big bundle of surprises to share with you today as thanks for your patience!
By popular request, today we’re dropping one more Animal Pass, inspired by community requests from over the years. The By Popular Request Pass is our way of saying thank you to all of you in our amazing community of more than twelve million players. And, because we’re now back to self-publishing and thus free to make dumb business decisions, we’re making it a proper thank you by making it completely FREE to claim until Super Animal World arrives.
We’ve also made a few quality of life improvements to the game, added new Super Animal breeds, and are kicking off an end of summer celebration in our first self-published patch since returning to full independence, so check out the video below or read on for all the details.
Highlights
The By Popular Request Pass is packed with cosmetics inspired by the community, and is FREE to claim throughout Season 11! Highlights of this pass include the Idol, Plague Doctor, and Trashcan Outfits, as well as the super-cute (and spiky) Mini Bearded Dragon pet and the Shy emote.
The new Super Animal World Supporter Pack DLC includes 3 unique Super Animal breeds, 12 cosmetics, and 750 tickets, and is available for those who want to support the expansion’s development and get a taste of Super Animal World themed items early.
Catch some final sun rays before fall during the Super End of Summer Royale event. It runs for three weeks and kicks off today with challenges, rewards, and fruity new Super Animal breeds each week!
Six additional new Super Animal breeds have been released from the Labs, with designs inspired or suggested by community members, just like the Animal Pass!
We’ve also made quality of life gameplay improvements and patched some bugs to improve player experience, including some significant changes to how the Zip-and-Go works.
Don’t miss the first sneak peek of Super Animal World gameplay in the video above too! We’re really proud of how fishing, bug catching and hamsterball racing are shaping up and we can’t wait to share more about the expansion in the coming months.
New FREE By Popular Request Pass
The SAR community is one of the most creative and passionate fanbases out there, so this season’s Animal Pass is a tribute to all the incredible designs and suggestions you’ve shared with us!
This Animal Pass is completely FREE to redeem until the Super Animal World expansion arrives (aka during Season 11), as a thank you for all of your support and patience during the Super Animal World expansion’s ongoing development. Next season, it’ll move into the Animal Pass Archive, but if you claim it anytime between now and then, you’ll be able to re-activate it from the Archive later like any other pass!
The pass includes some of our favorite cosmetic requests and ideas from you, as well as a few of our own to round out the pass (including a gravestone tribute to the retired Super Juicer blender). Some of the items were requested by many different players over the course of months and years, but others were directly inspired by art submitted in our Discord. A huge thanks to community members who provided beautiful reference designs for items and provided their permission to base our official items on them:
Idol Set - Sunnyaan
Wild West Set - KaDi
Teddy Bear Set - fizzy.1
Trashcan Set - Traffickoun
Plague Doctor Set - com50c
Night Vision Goggles - kyryashayatravka
Hotdog and Superite Ties - N3on Assassin
Cardboard Shotgun - Metawastaken
Superite Sniper - posvxxxxxx
If you’d like to suggest cosmetics for the game, join our Discord and drop your suggestions in the cosmetics channel, leave us game feedback in the feedback channel, or start a discussion here on Steam! We’re constantly inspired by your passion for the game and would love to hear what you want to see added next. :)

Quality of Life Changes & Bug Fixes
Zip-and-Go Revamp
When deploying a zip-line, you’ll immediately begin riding it at maximum speed, opening up new ways to use it for mobility. Max speed is also a whole lot faster!
You’ll also get a speed boost each time you hop between zip-line segments in a chain of existing Zip-and-Go lines.
Each boost adds to your overall momentum and five chained rides on average-length lines will bring you to maximum speed.
The Ninja Booties powerup still provides a speed boost while riding a zip-line, but the maximum speed has the same cap.
Holding a Zip-and-Go now provides a zoom-out effect of 15% to help with placing them vertically (and spot incoming enemies).
New visuals and sound effects have also been added when chain riding between zip-lines!
Gameplay Changes
The Super Juicer powerup has been removed (for now). Our philosophy for powerup design is for each powerup to have a clear niche that doesn’t overlap with others. It’s also important that powerups don’t have too many effects, and that those effects are reflected in their visual design. The Juicer just wasn’t carving out its own niche well enough, but you can still find a broken one in the Animal Pass as a gravestone! We’re planning to make further adjustments to the powerup system in the future too.
The Bandolier powerup now grants 10% faster reload speed in addition to its other effects. This includes the Hunting Rifle, which we feel should make for some exciting plays!
Lucky Cat Mines can no longer be set off by teammates (and they still do not damage teammates). This change should open up more strategic uses for mines, as well as just avoiding teammates mistakenly tripping them.
A new animation has been added for when Lucky Cat Mines are activated, making them more lively and visible before exploding, and fixing a visual issue when placed on conveyor belts.
SMOMA’s gallery has been updated with the pieces from the “Land, Sky, and Sea” Fanart Contest! You can view all of the amazing submissions on the fanart contest site: https://artcontest.animalroyale.com/
Bots will de-prioritize targeting downed players, especially if other enemies are nearby to attack instead. This change only applies to human players though, so they’ll still thirst other bot teams. Those tryhards.
BCG egg projectiles are now affected by bullet speed modifiers (from private match commands or Mystery Mode).
Swapping your equipped weapon no longer cancels actions like healing, taping, reviving teammates, emoting, etc.
The snowy bridges in Thomas’ Tundra will now fade if a player is hiding behind them.
Other Changes
Removed Modus splash logo. We’re fully indie and self-publishing again!
Implemented better highlighting on text-fields and improved controller navigation to enter and exit typing. We published this change on PC in v1.9.3 but the change is now also reflected in the console versions.
We’ve made some behind-the-scenes changes on the backend for how Animal Pass items are claimed to support larger inventories. You shouldn’t notice anything from the change, but let us know if you have any issues when redeeming your items!
The Flamberge melee weapon was made a bit thicker.
Added /ziplines command for private matches to block access to ziplines.
Sub-admins in private matches can now open the leaderboard and type after death, which also allows them to use the /score command for leaderboard printout.
Sub-admins can no longer kick each other from games.
When sub-admins kick players in private matches, the main admin will now also be notified.
Bug Fixes
Fixed bots pathing through SAW Security HQ’s secret room walls.
Fixed hamster ball ping extrapolation not functioning. Other players were intended to be artificially extrapolated based on ping to counteract lag, which is now working.
Re-eating bananas with the Banana Forker is now allowed if there was a desync or error between the client and server. This prevents bananas from being stuck or blocked, and keeps delicious banana peels from going to waste.
Fixed ammo and other loot dropping far away when on Beaver Construction HQ bridges.
Fixed an issue which caused loot to spawn over walls when dropped (particularly in shipping containers).
Fixed a bug where the last zombie kill in the Bwoking Dead did not count towards XP gain.
Several character animation fixes:
Fixed Z-order glitch on Super Bat wings.
Reduced visual recoil while shooting the Superite Laser.
Improved torso/body textures turning with the Super Animal’s body.
Made a small update to VFX in the Hole in One emote.
Fixed Z-order of hands in the Banan Pew Pew emote.
Nudged hand position in aiming animations for Dogna’s Dart Gun, SMG, and Bow & Sparrow.
Fixed Z-order issue with hands in the juggling emote.
Matched the Blue Beanie’s position to match other colored beanies.
Improved arm bending in the SARturday Night Fever emote.
Added custom deformation to sleeves while parachuting to improve bending.
That’s all for the By Popular Request update! We hope you all have a ton of fun with the new content, and thank you so much again for all of your patience and support as the team works hard on the next big chapter of Super Animal Royale. We can’t wait to share more about the Super Animal World expansion with you as we continue development on it. See you on the island, Super Animals!
