Dearest Plant Parents,

It's our one-year anniversary of launching on Steam! To celebrate we have a new item in the vintage shop. Hint, it's floral and made of paper. (Paper is the traditional gift for a 1st anniversary.)

We also have a mixed bag of new items, updates, bug fixes, and adjustments. Look for new wallpapers, decals and other items spread between the Base Game and the Coney Island Plus DLC. By popular request, we've added an undo capability to the Paint & Paper window. You can now walk back through the changes you've made or remove just the customization you are working on.

Fixes
  • Items could get improperly stacked on one another after buying things from the store resulting in some very strange configurations of furniture and plant.
  • Fertilizer count did not always dim properly at night.
  • Plants bought after dusk didn't light up their first night in the apartment.
  • Layering issue that would hide items placed on the blue sofa.
  • The repotting window offered medium sized pots when the plant required large or extra-large pots only.

This week is a regular update with a lot of misc stuff.

GAMEPLAY

  • Spiders now shoot webs that paralyze
  • Nerfed cost of upgrading many town buildings
  • Cost to refresh markets +10%
  • New sound for town gates
  • Flame towers don't damage your town gate anymore
  • New sound effect for shieldwall skill
  • Line amulet now gives the penetrate ability
  • Heroes now have a random starting trait (working now)
  • Hard to hit ability reworked
  • Late game spawns now a little earlier
  • Vision and logistic are now for the Bowman
  • Arena power now climbs slower
  • Summon illusions and tame abilities now have a small bonus from the level of the user

It's finally here, the crafting beta starts today!

Major Changes:
  • There are fewer parts, but each one is special ;)
  • There are more recipes, allowing you to specialize
  • You will see exactly what you're going to build *before* you build it
  • You can add extra parts or data to get a crafting level boost!
  • Some recipes require essences (harvested from creatures and rare plants)
  • There is plenty of built-in help!
  • You can buy schematics and essences at stations

What's Not Done Yet?

The "Mods" system. This is where you will be able to upgrade the stats of existing gear, or change the damage type of your away team guns. Cool stuff. But I need another week to get it running, and this way you can test what I've done so far while I get mods together. It's another level of multi-tasking for me.

Xenonauts 2 - Goldhawk
This update is also only accessible by switching to our Experimental branches (instructions on how to do so here) - although please be aware they have slower load times and worse performance than normal builds due to the extra logging they contain!

Bugfixes:
  • Fixed a rare crash that could occur if a unit was killed during the enemy turn.
  • Mesmerise will no longer trigger if a shot from the HEVY Launcher misses the target Psyon, but the blast kills the target anyway.
