  • Dad's Secret: Fixed an issue where this achievement was not unlocking upon completing Chapter 2.
  • Still There: Resolved a problem with this achievement for going AFK for 1 hour not being awarded correctly.
  • Spider Whisperer: Fixed the achievement for controlling Poko for a total of 2 hours.
  • Nightmare Conqueror: Corrected the issue where the achievement for completing the game without dying was not being granted.
Chapter 1: Jane
  • Fixed an issue where the wardrobe in the sister's room was incorrectly highlighted.
  • Fixed the 3D lamp petromax in the kitchen, which was standing out unnaturally.
  • Moved the "interact" action (F button) from the ship toy to the spider cage on the desk.
Chapter 2: Alvin's House
  • Fixed a bug where Jane would not disappear after the dialogue.
Chapter 4: Underground
  • Improved the selection area for the generator, making it easier to interact with.
Dialogue and Cutscenes
  • Fixed an issue where Jane's eye material was still visible during the ending cutscene with the parents.
Adjusted and balanced the SFX for the following cutscenes:
  • Cutscene KerisComeOut in Chapter 7.
  • Cutscene SeeMomTimeline in Chapter 7.
  • Cutscene JanePickupKeris in Chapter 8.
Localization
  • Fixed the Main Menu option button panel for German localization, correcting "Einstellung en" to "Einstellungen."

At FuturLab we’re always trying to implement more ways to make PowerWash Simulator more accessible to everyone. An example of this is our Aim Mode feature, which has been shown to help with the effects of motion sickness, which you can read more of here:

Today we’d like to show you more about an upcoming change to the dirt highlight!

This will be included in our next update and will change the highlighting in two ways

Firstly, you’ll be able to switch between 7 colours:

  • Orange (Default)
  • Red
  • Green
  • Blue
  • Yellow
  • Pink
  • White


The second change will be the duration of the highlight. This will have a sliding scale from 0.9 seconds up to 5 seconds long, which should decrease the need to spam that highlight button



Will, FuturLab Multiplayer Programmer, had a lot of input in prototyping these changes. He says a couple of his reasons for working on this were "the community requests and seeing content creators struggle to find some dirt due to the colours. The second was because playing games with people that have some form of colour vision deficiency made me realise how easy it is to be a barrier to some things in games."

These changes will only affect the highlight colour, the pulsing when picking a subtask in the tablet menu will remain the same as it has been.

We’ll have more news soon on when this will be coming to PowerWash Simulator, along with our Shrek Special Pack, but you won’t have to wait too long!

It’s been a long time since a news post has gone live, today that changes. We have a major development update for you on the status of Deadstick, and who else to bring you this information but Chris Cheetham himself.

Combat Complex - MrDogg
Here's our roadmap for Combat Complex, a fast, frenetic sci-fi action RPG (ARPG) with fluid combat, WASD / twin-stick controls, random loot, and procedurally-generated levels. The roadmap includes the features of the upcoming Early Access release on October 4, 2024, and our further plans for the game, up to the full 1.0 release next year.

The last update before Early Access release (~September 25, 2024)

Additions:
  • Skill Tree (partially done, more skills will be added in future updates).
  • New Primary Weapon – Minigun (damages red shields but hinders player movement).
  • New Primary Weapon – SMG (higher damage and fire rate compared to Rifle but has a shorter range).
  • Options – Video, Sound, Interface, Gameplay, Controller.
  • Visual improvements – Autoexposure, Film Grain, Chromatic Aberration.
  • There's now a sound for abilities going off cooldown.

Changes:
  • Migration to Unity 6.
  • Removed the "Made in Unity" splash screen.
  • The story is now told via a less annoying email-like format (as opposed to the original chat-like one).
  • Minor UI, sound, and QoL improvements.
  • Multiple bug fixes.

Known Problems:
  • The VFX for Gravity Vortex is broken due to a Unity 6 bug. A temporary VFX is currently used.
  • Read story messages aren't properly grayed out in the Messages screen.

Early Access release – October 4, 2024

  • Early Access Release – October 4, 2024.
  • Steam Deck certification.
  • Bug fixes and improvements based on player feedback.

An update before the Steam Autumn sale (~November 20, 2024)

Power-Ups:
  • A major gameplay system: the familiar "3 buffs, pick one, maybe reroll".
  • Power-Ups persist through missions but are lost on death.
  • Power-Ups are infinitely stackable but temporary (they last for 3-6 missions, assuming no death).

Fix for the broken VFX for Gravity Vortex:
  • It's broken now due to a bug in Unity 6. The game currently uses a temporary VFX.
  • We've submitted the bug, and it has been confirmed by Unity.
  • As soon as they fix it, we'll release an update with the fixed VFX.

An update before the Steam Winter sale (~December 19, 2024)

Achievements:
  • Achievements will be based on Challenges, and therefore will be retroactive.
  • That is, if you completed a Challenge, you'll get its achievement as soon as we release achievements.

Improved Epic loot:
  • Currently, our epic (purple) loot differs from rare (blue) only in the number of stat mods.
  • We are planning to make epic loot more distinctive by adding a mod that will add an extra rank to a single Skill in the Skill Tree.
  • The same mod will be added to legendary loot, but the number of bonus ranks will be higher than 1.

Performance Boost:
  • Unity 6 GPU Resident Drawer.
  • Unity 6 GPU GPU Occlusion Culling.


Updates before the full 1.0 release

New Environmental Hazards:
  • Deflector Walls (to break the pattern "Always shoot").
  • Laser Walls (to break the pattern "Always dash").

Hazard Randomization:
  • Things like Boom Barrels and Laser Walls will sometimes randomly appear in regular missions.
  • (Currently they are reserved for mission affixes on higher-difficulty missions).

More Abilities:
  • Grenades, Turrets, Stun Wave, Grappling Hook, etc.

More Enemies:
  • New bug enemies.
  • New bot enemies.

"Treasure Goblins":
  • A cute little bot that drops rare loot and high-value orbs. Tough to kill, temporary (escapes after some time).
  • High risk / reward ratio. A synergy / dilemma with the upcoming Ultimate Abilities (use it or save for danger?)

Ultimate Abilities:
  • Very powerful, but usable only once per mission.
  • Use them to escape difficult / unexpected situations, or to secure high-value targets (e.g. a Treasure Goblin).

Full Skill Tree:
  • More skills in the main branches.
  • Islands for fine-tuning the build (e.g. Frenzy, Abilities, Healing, etc.)

Full 1.0 release – Fall 2025

  • Full 1.0 release.

Longer-term plans / open problems

  • Finished story.
  • Special / Legendary Elites (extremely dangerous but fragile).
  • Crafting.
  • Biomes (e.g. Mining, High-tech, Infested).

With the most recent update, we have revamped the Arena system and introduced the domination leaderboard in the hall of fame. Engaging in the arena's elimination mode not only grants rewards based on your elimination rank but also contributes arena medals towards the domination leaderboard. This allows you to challenge and compete against other players.
Unique Domination Reward
The domination leaderboard offers more than just a chance to compete with others; it also presents exclusive rewards to the top 100 players at the conclusion of an arena season: special frames for your player profile.
The frame remains a constant customization, persisting through changing seasons. However, you have the opportunity to elevate your frame by consistently securing a spot within the same bracket in the top 100 multiple times. With each achievement, the frame undergoes a unique enhancement, becoming increasingly exclusive and radiant. This enhancement process can be repeated up to five times, ensuring a truly remarkable and distinguished frame.


Issue with Displaying Domination Rewards
We apologize for the current issue regarding the incorrect display of the frame reward, which does not appear as shiny as intended. Rest assured, we are committed to resolving this issue before the conclusion of the ongoing arena season.
