Hello there Steam people!

It has been...Well, a too long time since I last posted about my situation and what is going on in general. I'm really sorry about that, but the month of August is a pretty "traumatic" one for me, especially this time because I had to do things that were very, very uncomfortable.

Let me talk about this first, if you don't want to read stuff that is about my personal life, just skip this section and jump to the next paragraph. Anyway, as most of you probably know, my equipment has been seized by the police exactly one year ago. While the initial allegations are basically non existant anymore, the investigating police officer seems to have an issue with my game(s), or rather, the characters portrayed in it. This lead to me having to go to the police station so that my finger prints and pictures can be taken. This has been... Well, extremely hard, because I felt like I was being treated like a fucking criminal, a predator and a piece of shit. At the moment there is only one person basically ruining my whole life, and that is the investigating police officer who is trying her best to portray me as some kind of monster - Mainly because she can't get ahold of the main suspect that also framed/blackmailed me, since he is still in Thailand. His friends got sentenced to long jail sentences but he is still gone, so I think that she wants to get "some kind of win". And the fact that I'm making these games ( and that they make a decent amount of money as well ) probably is not something she likes. I don't know what this will lead to, Adult Visual Novels are banned from the German Steam store anyway, but it's not like my games are hard to find or hidden in some darknet tor node. You can find them everywhere on the internet on so many sites so...Yeah. I really don't see why she would have such issues with what I do for a living. But oh well... This has been pretty bad but I'm starting to get over it day by day. The fact that they are still taking their sweet ass time to process everything ( how difficult can it be for a state attorney to check if my render assets really contain something illegal so we can get to a judge so that they can decide ) shows you how awful the german law enforcement is. Waiting times that go beyond 1 year are pretty normal, especially when things are involved like this. Oh well...That is all regarding that.

Let's talk about the games now, I guess.

During these last two months I continued to work on both games, My New Memories Chapter 4 and My New Memories: The beginning. A playable demo for The Beginning will be released soon and you can grab it from the Steam page as soon as it's out - Just give me a little bit more time. The release of the prequel is also sooner than you might think, because I'm about 80% done with the first "chapter" That I'm going to put out. The initial plan for the prequel was to just have it as a short game that serves as a bridge to the main game, as you know. But given the fact that we still don't know when I get my stuff back, I decided to make it a little deeper and fill it with more content. I think this is something everyone can look forward to and once I Have my stuff back, I can simply add the "ending" to the prequel and continue to work full time on the main game.

Speaking about the main game, the script of Chapter 4 is getting bigger and bigger. I now reached a point where it should be around the size of Chapter 3 and the initial release combined, maybe a little less. Since Anna woke up I can do so many things that I wanted to do since the beginning, so I can add so many more events than I initially had in mind when I worked on the game in general. Anna waking up is a key moment, as you all know, but there are also other moments that will be super important going down the road in Chapter 4. There will be lots ( and I mean lots ) of funny and lewd moments, like the sauna with Lina or the date with Yukiko. The family will grow, as some of you may remember, so that is also something you can look forward too - 3 Big breasted gingers.

The thing is...There is not really much else to talk about, sadly. My life is basically working on the prequel and while the renders for the prequel are being made, write more for Chapter 4. It's...Pretty depressing, to be honest. I used to be full of energy and enthusiasm after an update dropped, and I still kinda am, but it's nothing compared to how I used to be back in the day. I really hope that once I have my render assets back I can get back to my old "strength".

One last thing before I leave you guys with a few renders from the prequel. It's totally fine if you think I'm making this all up, that I just want to do this and that. But please, don't try to force this opinion and view onto other people. Just like I can't force you to believe the things I said, you should not force anyone else to think like you do. If you think I'm a liar and a scammer, that's fine. You can block/ignore me and move on and find games you might enjoy more and deves that don't disappoint you. Just...I dont know. Maybe being a little more mindful with personal insults and calling me names could help.

So there are a lot of bug fixes in this update.

Also you will notice that more equipment, items, spells, and skills have names and descriptions.

Also there is now some lore in the towns and even in some of the shrines (not all of the shrines). Also more items in the towns to get from houses.

Level cap has been changed to 30. Bosses are hard coded to now have a minimum level and maximum level.

Hello!

Thank you so much everyone! Early access has been a huge success for me so I've been able to start commissioning some upgrades to improve the look of the game and expand to new regions as well. I've already started working hard with some wonderful artists and translators to help meet the early access goals. Good progress is being made <333.

While all that has been going on I'm still working on the final platforming challenge and picking away at whatever else I can find :D.

Charlet's Sword Attack
A lot of the animations in the game right now are purely functional with very little flare so I thought I'd go thru and make some improvements myself while soliciting new commissions. I'll be doing a lot of work on Charlet's sprite so expect some more aesthetic changes to come!
