The Demo version 0.3.8 of Endless Trek has been officially updated. You can find the game in the library and update it.

The focus of this update is to add a new blocking and counterattack combat mechanism, and the first version of long-range weapons and combat updates. At the same time, the combat mechanism of some monsters is updated and optimized. Everyone is welcome to try and give feedback!
The following is the specific content of this update↓

New content:

I. Added blocking function:

1. Blocking function description: When using a weapon or shield with a blocking posture, the player can press and hold the right mouse button to enter the blocking posture, and exit the blocking posture when releasing it.

2. When attacked in the blocking state, there will be a damage reduction effect and physical strength will be deducted.

If the physical strength is empty in the blocking state, it will enter the defense breaking state (the specific value is calculated according to the props in the player's hand)

3. Perfect defense: Every time you enter the blocking posture, record a timestamp. If you are attacked within the duration, the perfect defense is successfully triggered. (After triggering, it is determined whether to skip the calculation of damage deduction and physical strength deduction)

4. Defense counterattack: Record a timestamp when attacked. If you attack within the defense counterattack duration, the defense counterattack will be triggered, and the attack moves will start directly from the middle.

5. Added shield-related prop models and icons.

6. Added three sets of animations for right-hand blocking, left-hand blocking, and two-hand blocking.

2. Added Survival Guide function:
1. Interface opening: A new Survival Guide option is added to the ESC interface. Players can click it to call up a new Survival Guide page.
2. Survival Guide interface
① The large category tab on the top.
② The detailed category tab on the left.
③ The picture display box.
④ The text display box.
3. Interface message prompt: When a new Survival Guide directory appears, a prompt will appear on the right side of the screen. Long press the H key before the prompt disappears to open the corresponding chapter interface in the Survival Guide.
3. Added character long-range attack
1. Function description: When the character is equipped with a long-range weapon, the left-click attack rule is the same as that of an ordinary weapon. Click the right mouse button to open the aiming posture.
2. Aiming posture: When entering the aiming posture, the camera moves to the right, and finally the character is biased to the left side of the screen. The crosshair is replaced according to the weapon type, and a dynamic crosshair reduction effect is achieved.
3. Shooting: In the aiming posture, click the left button to shoot. Combos are not supported. When hitting, the crosshair has a hit effect.
4. Bullets and trajectory: Similar to monsters, shooting will fire bullets, and the bullets will be projected along a parabola.
5. Equipped bow and arrow: The default bow is a special two-handed weapon, equipped with a bow in the left hand and arrows in the right hand; the player consumes bound arrows when shooting, and automatically replenishes the same arrows from the backpack when the bullets are insufficient; if the current type of arrows is insufficient, the system will report an error prompt.
6. Added bow and arrow related prop models and icons.
7. Added bow and arrow related attack animations.
8. When the arrow hits the target, it will stay on the target for a period of time

Fourth, night malicious mechanism optimization:
1. Added player equipment strength record.
2. The strength of malicious monsters is refreshed according to the recorded equipment strength.

Five, new combination keys: When pressing the combination function key, priority judgment will be made, and only the function with the highest priority will be executed; at the same time, it is compatible with the previous function key.

Sixth, monster skill expansion:
1. Rune monsters have a chance to attack with rune bursts, stacking 10 layers of debuffs, which will stun and explode in a small range.
2. Monsters holding decayed weapons will have tetanus attacks.
3. Glove attacks will have the effect of deducting enemy stamina.
4. Red Wolf's mouth cannon is changed to three bursts.
5. Wild Boar's move 4 will have a bleeding debuff, which can be stacked 5 times.

VII. Territory Stone Function Optimization
1. Added the function of blocking monsters' sight within the territory stone range.
2. The display effect of the territory stone range is updated.

VIII. Others:
1. Added thorn grass traps on the map.
2. New workbench production and configuration.
3. Added a quick switch to first-person shortcut.

Content to be fixed:
1. When multiple props are added to the package, only the first one will be prompted (known issue)
2. The fog door at the entrance of the novice boss does not disappear after the character dies (known issue)

2) When triggering malicious monster refresh, it will be as follows:
1. A magic circle will appear at the location where the monster died or the location where the map material was destroyed, turning into an evil eyeball. The eyeball's field of vision is similar to a red searchlight, and it starts searching for players. (The field of vision is closer)
2. If the player is found, it will become a portal and summon a malicious monster.

Peacequarium - Gamer To Game Developer
In the last month I've made some mega improvements to Peacequarium to make it more fun and engaging and I've been taking player feedback very seriously. I believe I've incorporated all feedback that contributes to making Peacequarium a better experience and I've successfully integrated Twitch, Steam Achievements, and Steam inventory into the upcoming full game and the playtest!

The most exciting feature I've added are fish traits which add more character to whichever fish you apply them to and makes them more useful. Traits don't persist on closing down the game which creates a nice sink for the trait item economy. I've successfully got a gatherer trait working in the full game and any fish with that trait will collect any wholesome buff it touches automatically (and be wearing a red cap :D ). The playtest has four of the traits available and these are supplied as Steam items over time in your Steam inventory which you can consume in game. Pro tip, if you want to achieve the Fish Collector achievements, then apply a breeder trait to a fish you don't have enough of. Make sure there is enough space in the same aquarium and then leave it to spawn new fish of its species every half hour! Check your Creature Collection menu to know how many of each species you have in stock.


I like the giant fish trait :)


You can apply a trait by going to your fish menu and then clicking on the blue trait icon.


I've made lots of quality of life improvements but a real notable one is that the game now remembers when you press a lock or unlock button for each rarity of fish. When you buy fish you no longer have to keep pressing the lock buttons for each rarity. The game will remember if you pressed the lock button for epic for example and if you spawn any epic fish they will automatically be locked. This applies when starting up the game as well, it will remember which species you want locked or unlocked on spawn. I still have to figure out a way to properly show you what the remembered selection is, so that is a work in progress.

The fast buy buttons are pretty cool and I've managed to speed up the code behind fast purchasing fish and populating the fish menu so it is a fluid operation now. This enables mass buying fish, mass selling and using the fast buy buttons to try and increase your number of epic and rare fish if that is your strategy.


In the Creature Collection menu you only need to hold down your left click now and species levels will automatically keep being bought until you release left click. This is quite a powerful way to increase your earnings per second.


The glowing fish that get added to your Steam inventory have a visual difference, but they also have double EPS and value of their regular counterparts, so they are very much worth keeping and putting into your aquariums if you want to maximise your EPS!

I'm currently continuing to work on the full game content and I'm also aiming to launch the demo for Peacequarium in early November. At this time I'm thinking I will end the playtest when I launch the demo (the demo will replace the playtest) and this will save me from having to maintain an additional project in addition to the full game and demo. Your save progress and Steam achievements will go across to the demo but your Steam items will not, so I recommend that you freely use your items!

There's a ten percent chance on opening a gift box that you'll receive the platinum treasure chest! It gives a mega wealth reward :D

You can also make the Pop-Up invisible by pressing the ` key.


Additionally, firearms now have a chance to hit headshots. This chance is influenced by Agility, Concentration, and Luck. 🎯

Rebalancing

1. Increased hunting knife damage: 25 to 50.

2. Pizza buffs have been improved:

🍕 Pizza Margherita: Frost Resistance +20%, Strength +5, Agility +5, Endurance +5, for 30 minutes. Restores 50% of Health.

🍕 Classic Cheese Pizza: Frost Resistance +10%, Sanity +10, Endurance +10, Intelligence +2, for 30 minutes. Restores 50% of Health.

🍕 Pepperoni Pizza: Frost Resistance +30%, Critical Damage +25%, Critical Hit +25%, for 30 minutes. Restores 40% of Health.

Japanese Translation Improvements

Since translating from English to Japanese is my task and I'm still not very proficient in Japanese, even though my name is Yume! 😅 I'm constantly learning.

I've learned more about honorifics and yobisute in detail, so now characters address each other appropriately based on their relationships. Here are some changes:

  • The more variety you have in the food menu, the more experience you gain. However, you need to carefully time your service and gather ingredients.

Sentinel Point Heroes - Jellybane
The major change for this patch is extending out the timeline so you have access to all available information and adding a Planning Mode, allowing you to add cards and Recovery to the timeline to better know when they would trigger.

Other Changes:

Fixed a bug where Kinetic Gauntlet wouldn't give block if you had no combo cards in your deck.
Removed the barrier visual from the sidebar since it is shown elsewhere

Herbert, -2 Block and +2 Stunner for act 2 deck.
Meta, +1 Stunner for act 1 deck. -2 Block and +2 Stunner for act 2 deck.
Voltz, +1 Stunner for act 1 deck. -2 Block and +2 Stunner for act 2 deck.
Removed slow from the first fight and added it the uninjured enemy in the second. Generally the first fight isn't too much of a threat and new players will need the help later on more.
Removed barrier from the Blood Rite boss.
Increased bonus rupture damage of Skull Crack to four.
Removed the condition from Secret Technique. It wasn't finding a home in rupture decks before and now acts as a nice hybrid card.

Adjusted the positioning on the units only in the 1v1 first fight.

Made unlocks trigger faster

Fixed a bug where cards were not aligning properly after drawing.
