Since the launch of Co-Op mode, we’ve been actively listening to all your feedback on player experience and have steadily released updates and hot fixes. As of 3rd Sptember, 2024 the following issue had been addressed.

1. The exact amount of Sea Thorn is now displayed in the Dreama Battle Gacha details.

2. New items have been added to the shop:

-[color=#FFBC1F]Avatar - Captain Shiyu-Shiyu[/color]
-[color=#FFBC1F]Card - King Gawu[/color]

3. Fixed an issue where Star Block could not be redeemed for Gacha Cassette.

4. Fixed an issue in Co-Op Mode where the mission to defeat Elite Pirates could not be completed.

5. Correct emojis are now displayed in the Cool Summer Pass (Season 2).

6. Fixed an issue in Co-Op Mode where transactions in the shop could cause disconnections.

7. Fixed an issue where the total days played in Co-Op Mode were not properly calculated.

8. Fixed the Throbbing Beach - Alana cut-in not displaying correctly in the game.

9. Various fixes for English and Japanese localization issues.

• [tune] Added asteroid fields, which are groups of smaller asteroids.
• [tune] Asteroids have more varied sizes and should contain more metal.
• [tune] Improved UI for the command center, preventing cargo from conflicting with the menu buttons.
• [tune] Increased right mouse button hold timer before triggering the menu, reducing the likelihood of opening it accidentally.
• [tune] Improved handling of canceled mouse input.
• [tune] Chat preview overlay with expanded text is now topmost, preventing it from being under the cargo UI, for example.
• [tune] Shared compendium entries in the chat will show the name, even if the compendium has not yet been opened.
• [tune] Subportal does not click through to subspace locations.
• [fix] Asteroid nest now uses the correct tier for enemies. @--__--

Hello everyone!

The team has been working hard behind the scenes and we are excited to finally announce our “Create a Mod” contest for 2024! We had some incredible submissions in 2023, so we are extremely excited to see what 2024 has to offer.

We’ve partnered with https://mod.io/ for this contest. We’ll use their website for submissions. Details around the voting process for this year are listed below, as it has changed from what we did last year.
Please make sure you read this entire post carefully before making a submission. 

The theme of this contest is “content”. This means you are tasked to create a Mod for Melvor Idle that adds some form of new content to the game. 

Any mod that adds at least 1 of the following will be eligible:

• New Skill
  
• Additional content for existing Skills
  
• New Items
  
• New Monsters
  
• New Combat Areas, Slayer Areas or Dungeons
  
• New Gamemodes
  
• New Pets
  
• New Realms
  
• New Damage Types
  
• Some form of new Minigame to participate in
  
• Any other piece of content that a player can complete

Create your mod and submit it on https://mod.io/g/melvoridle with the pre-defined tag “Mod Contest 2024”.

• Submissions without the tag will not be accepted.

• Only one submission per player is allowed. 
  
• A player cannot submit a pre-existing mod for this contest. 
  
• The user who submits the Mod will be classed as the sole winner, and the prizes will be delivered to that user only in full. Submissions on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
  
• No NSFW content. This is at the sole discretion of the Melvor Idle team. 
  
• No copyrighted content (Eg. art assets from other games). This is at the sole discretion of the Melvor Idle team. 
  
• If you do not follow the “How to Enter” steps correctly, your submission will not be accepted. 
  
• Mods submitted after the official “Submissions End” date and time will not be accepted. 
  
• You may update your Mod as many times as you like during the Submission period.
  
• Updates to your Mod are not permitted after the official “submissions end” date. Any Mods that are updated after the official “submissions end” date will not be eligible.
  
• You may continue to update your mod as you please after the “Winners Officially Announced” date.
  
• You are more than welcome to create a Reddit thread with your Mod, or post it in our Discord server within the relevant Mod channels.

• After the close of the contest, a public Google Form will be shared which lists all the submissions. Players will be able to vote for their top 3 favourite mods using this form.
  
• Voting officially begins on the above-listed “Community Voting Begins” date and time.
  
• At the end of the voting period, the top 10 mods with the most votes will be selected and announced via our socials!

Submissions will not be accepted after Tuesday, 1 October @ 11:59pm GMT+1.
