Tower Knight - Sweet Apple Games
Tower Knight has officially exited early access, and version 1.0.0 is now available.

Thank you to everyone who purchased in early access.

I used to make iOS games but 1 year ago I wanted to make something with a deeper experience for more dedicated players. Tower Knight started as Early Access so I could get feedback from players and more quickly learn what is expected from games released on Steam.

I hope you enjoy playing Tower Knight, I've certainly enjoyed developing it.

The idea for Tower Knight changed many times, but the original desire to make a Knight based strategy game came from the book Don Quixote. That story is about a man who, after reading many stories about Knights-errant, loses his mind and invents adventures that are so absurd he eventually becomes a famous knight in his own way.

Bug fix:
  • Fixed some bugs that would cause boss battles to not end properly.
  • Fixed some errors in Synergy Module buff effect.
  • Fixed the issue merging 88 achievement requirements could not be achieved.
  • Fixed the issue of abnormal connection when two different tracks overlap.
  • Other minor repairs.

Another batch of updates for Beta. I'm hoping to get feedback on these before I move these changes into the main branch for the Summer Content Update (hopefully by late August!)

Another Minion Joins the Necromatic Lineup
Disciple of DestructionLevel 4, 5/5. Zombie Mage
Attacks: Apply 1 Poison to all enemies.
Dies: Deal 5 Magic damage to each Poisoned enemy.

Goggles on, it has dev art by yours truly : ]

The High Eye
The High Eye fight has been updated. I've also slightly increased the rate in which The High Eye spawns as the final boss, just for more beta exposure.

Banners and Buildings
Banners now appear after Area 2: The Castle, and Buildings appear after Area 3: The Throne Room

Storage
The Exhume/Expand storage-granting activities have been removed from the 3x3 grid. Instead, now you can purchase a storage slot from the skull shop once per area for 3 skulls.
Additional storage slot have been such an important resource that it would often dominate the selection of 3x3 activities. Bringing it into the shop provides a more consistent way of getting storage, and adds a bit of risk: forgoing summoning mid area may make it more likely you lose a fight.

Relic Changes

I'm hoping to make the Area 1 Relic reward something that has a meaningful impact in your overall run, rather than just being a small power boost. I'm hoping these changes lead to more variety and memorable builds from run to run.

Wand of the Dead
Was: Skeletons and Zombies get +2/+2.
Now: If a friendly Skeleton or Zombie attacks, you choose its target.

Pickled HeartWas: Reapers and Blights get +2/+2.
Now: Reapers and Blights get +1 Attack. Grows by 1 for every 5 minions summoned.

Darkflame CandleWas: Spirits and Horrors get +2/+2.
Now: Spirits and Horrors are Shielded.

Ashen WarpaintsWas: Warriors and Shamans get +3 Health.
Now: Warriors and Shamans are Related.

Bloody WhetstoneWas: Minions with Ranged or Sneaky get +4 Attack.
Now: Minions with Ranged have Sneaky. Minions with Sneaky have Ranged.

Ebonstaff
Was: +2 to your Magic Mastery.
Now: Your Magic Mastery is doubled.

Gravesoil
Was: +2 to your Poison Mastery
Now: Your Poison Mastery is doubled.

Chains of ObedienceWas: Ferals get +3/+3.
Now: Ferals costs 1 fewer Skull to summon.

Necronominicon
Was: Level 1 minions get +2/+2.
Now: If summoning a minion triggers a friendly ability, trigger it twice.

Mask of Wrath Was: Rogues and Mages get +3 Attack.
Now: Rogues and Mages have -2 Attack and gain Multihit II.

Ready Bonesaw
Was: Improved and Perfected minions get +3/+3.
Now: Improved and Perfected minions get +3/+3. Grows by +3/+3 whenever you perfect a minion.

Bug Fixes:
#539 New Bone Steward that gives skulls for being hit, after perfecting him took four hits in a fight, and I only got three extra skulls after combat

I'm still investigating some of the weirder bugs seen with some combination of Deadwood/Ooze/Doll/Deathcycle. I appreciate the reports and logs shared in discord
Darkest Dungeon® II - RedHookMichaela
We've deployed a couple hot fixes for the Darkside of the Mountain coming_in_hot_release.

We encourage players who want to help test these changes and provide feedback to switch to either the "coming_in_hot" beta branch on Steam or the Experimental branch on EGS. Your save will carry over when you switch to that branch.

IMPORTANT: Once you switch your branch you MUST stay there until we push the update to the retail branch for everyone. Due to the nature of these changes, if you attempt to switch back to the retail branch too early you will be unable to start or continue a new expedition. We always recommend making a backup of your save file!

1.06.66400 DARKSIDE EXPERIMENTAL HOTFIX (released August 9th)

FIXES
  • Fixed trying to load empty localization files or empty localization load paths resulting in poor performance
  • Fixed the erroneous strings that we introduced in the previous HOTFIX
  • Added mods to ModMgr only when they have installed state flag, which fixes an issue with some people who were unable to launch the game

Warcoven Playtest - Uyhuri
  • Fixed Online hosting.
  • Fixed Issue where a unit disappears when selecting on another unit while the first is in its deployment animation.
  • Fixed Issue where the cold status visual effect would not be removed due to the client update stating "Applied" instead of "Removed".
  • Other minor status visual effect fixes.

Ferromon Together - AxelWolf
There is currently a limit of 200 sessions able to be searched at this time and clicking enter during a session search will cause the session list to appear empty. This will be fixed in the coming days and shouldn't affect regular gameplay.

The Play Pass will be available as soon as steam marks it ready for launch!
