Last few days i was reading your Bug Reports and feedback and here is my Response with some Fixes and some new Content.
New Map: Meadow
This Map is brand new and not perfectly optimized yet. you might have to set the Graphics down a bit now but i'm working on Optimazation to make it playable much more smooth
New Settings Menu
i had many Reports about the Settingsmenu and many Bugs while Changing something. Now we have a completely new Menu with much more customa options including Post Processing to customize the overall look of the Game. Just play with the settings a bit. The Raytracing Option is also supporting older Graphicscards that use Hardware RTX without extra CUDA Cores.
Controller Support for Ally and Steamdeck
We also Improved the Controller Support and now the Forest Scene is Completely playable with Xbox Controllers and Gaming handhelds like Ally and Steamdeck. also the Settings UI is fully usable with controllers.
The MainMenu and the Meadow Map are not fully supported yet and we're still working on that.
Other Changes
• Improved Mouse Movement • Extra Setting for Controller Sensitivity • Reduced Cloud Quality a bit to improve performance • Local Storage to save Changed Settings • Any Changes in the Settings now should load when starting the Game • Little Unity Upgrade • Upgraded some Shaders • GPU Instancing enabled for all Shaders
We're Working on
• Performance increase for new Meadow Map • New ingame content • Fixing the Timescale and enable Steamachievements again • Bug Fixes
Thats all for now. Dont forget to touch some Grass between your Gaming Sessions.
Best, Backii
*EDIT
Fixed a small Issue where max sensitivity was 1. now its 10 and 1 by default
- Added spell hotbar - Added icons for each spell - Added colored borders depending on the spell type - Added the ability to change active spells by pressing J and clicking on the hotbar slot

Hey everyone, the latest Tempest Rising demo featured in TactiCon 2024 was a great success!
Over 29,000 players downloaded the demo and nearly 4,000 players filled in our feedback survey. The team was ecstatic seeing everyone playing and enjoying the game, and we received loads of valuable feedback during the demo period that will be using to improve the game during development!
Demo Playthrough
In case you weren't able to play the demo and wanted to see what you missed, we recorded a full no-commentary playthrough of both the GDF and Dynasty missions and uploaded it to YouTube.
Watch the full demo below ⬇️
RTS Panel
Also, our Lead Game Designer on Tempest Rising, Brandon Casteel, joined a panel during TactiCon and discussed the history and resurgence of the RTS genre. He was joined by other RTS developers working on Rogue Command, Dune Spice Wars, and CHAOTIC ERA.

You'll be hearing from us a lot more often in the months to come. Thank you again from everyone on the dev team for the tremendous support for Tempest Rising to this point!
- ES dialogues updated - Block in first wilderness area fixed (if you completed the optional puzzles of that area and saved the game in the first area outside of the first town)
Hello Clickers, Here's the latest update. More to come! The team is also working on some new features that will take a few more days. - 10 new RantCPU's have been thrown in the rotation of rants, changes every 100 clicks - 70+ new sound bites variants have been added, heard every 100 clicks - Audio bite when autoclicker is toggled in the settings menu - Bug fixed for counter when launching the game, last digits were NaN on start - 1 new background gradient as been added
The next patch is around the corner (1 to 2 weeks max) and this patch is a slight move away, but also a big step forward for the world and content of SurrounDead.
So what will this update consist of? The main reason for this patch is to give the world of 'The Valley' a bigger reason to be explored and reasons to go to now and old locations alike. At the moment, some of the features that this update will consist is;
Explored/unexplored POIs - Discover them, loot them, defeat the undead or human enemies. After discovering a POI the location will be added to your map.
More random events - From current heli crashes, to one or two new ones.
Overhaul of observatory - Changes are happening, these changes may apply to new locations too.
More bosses - Each prominent POI will have a named boss you can take out to get unique and desired loot.
New locations - Not the Infected Deadzone but more in pre-existing areas.
And more to add to the discovery of 'The Valley' that i haven't and won't outline here ;)
After this, you have the Infected Deadzone and End Game update to look forward. Event more goodies coming with these. While short, I hope this gives a good indication that more content is coming to SurrounDead soon before the next major patch.
