Garry's Mod - Rubat
Hello everyone,

The next Garry's Mod update is coming soon.

The current plan is to release the next Garry's Mod update on 31st of July at 2PM GMT.

This update will be backwards compatible with existing servers, so servers do not need immediate updating and players can still join old servers, but it is still highly recommended to update as soon as the update releases to get all the new features and fixes.

Please help us test the update
We kindly ask anyone, players, modders and server owners alike, willing to help us test this update before it releases, to minimize any potential problems with the update.

Just run your game or your (development/test) server on one of the beta versions briefly to see if any new issues crop up compared to the current version of the game.

The Pre-Release Steam beta branch for Garry's Mod has been updated and contains all the changes that will be included in the next update. The "dev" and "x86-64" betas also contain all the upcoming changes.

How to switch game branches:
  1. Exit the game
  2. Right click on Garry's Mod in Steam and select Properties
  3. Go to the Betas tab and select your desired branch
None - This is the normal version of the game
Pre-Release - This is the next update
Dev - This is a bleeding edge version of the game, expect it to contain more bugs than usual
OUTBRK - WalkOverYou
MAJOR CHANGES

Fixed an issue where players would have their screen frozen randomly while still being able to use input and hear audio.
Added vehicle cosmetic functionalities (Laptop, Antenna, Weather Instruments, Hail Protection, Bullbars, etc.)
  • Laptop : Map Displayed On Laptop
  • Antenna : Receive Tornado Warning Updates
  • Anti-Hail Cage : Window Protection = 100%
  • Bullbar : Collision Protection = 20%
  • Mesonet : Wind Data Displayed When Driving
  • Camera : Temporarily still cosmetic for now

Hey Strikers! We’re here with by far the biggest news of July 2024: an Omega Strikers Micropatch!
We’ve got a couple small adjustments and a little surprise: SUMMER SPLASH IS BACK! Except it’s in like mini form.
Check the Missions tab and you can unlock yourself some summery emotes and goodies.
As an added bonus, Summer Splash (Mini) is actually happening in summer this year! So let us begin.

Atlas
High elo Atlas was kinda struggling. Celestial Intervention also was (is) kinda bugged so this should also help mitigate some of those effects, while also strengthening him.
  • Celestial Intervention [SPECIAL]
    • Healing Per tick :: 3.75% Max stagger → 4% Max Stagger
  • Cosmic Expanse [SECONDARY]
    • Cooldown :: 21s → 20s
Dubu
Large Goalie Buffs: Part II. Dubu can now roll to stop that core a little more frequently. Just don’t miss or this buff might be a nerf.

    • Cooldown :: 19s → 17s
  • Damage & Knockback :: 200 (+100% Power) → 220 (+110%)
Estelle
Estelle’s been slowly working her way to the top despite recent nerfs so we’re trying to keep her in check!

Juno

The bugfix last patch had a sizeable impact on Mako’s game feel. We're pulling back some of those changes and loading more power into Drum and Base to compensate.
  • Drum and Base [SECONDARY]
    • Minimum cast time :: 0.25s → 0.2s
    • Self-slow while channeling :: 52% → 47%
      • (Base speed while channeling :: 262 → 289)
    • Size and Haste linger after cast :: 0.5s → 0.75s
  • Perfect Pitch [PRIMARY]
    • Minimum cast time :: 0.15s → 0.1s
Rasmus
2 more seconds of worry free gameplay on Ai.Mi’s app.
  • Death Touch [SPECIAL]
    • Cooldown :: 20s → 22s
Vyce
Vyce’s damage was *off the charts* - especially if she picked up a couple cooldown awakenings. So we nerfed her. Did we really need to write that last sentence? You can read the change and see what we did right? It’s totally intuitive. Nah.
  • Power Chord [PRIMARY]
    • Cooldown :: 7s → 8.5s
    • Damage & Knockback :: 185 (+92.5% Power) → 175 (+87.5% Power)
    • Core Knockback :: 1350 (+185% Power) → 1330 (+175% Power)

Stinger
The change for stinger in the last patch ended up being a much more sizeable nerf than intended. This should still represent a nerf from two patches ago, while also bringing the awakening more in line with its peers.
  • Percentage max stagger burn :: 8% → 9% (2.66% → 3% For Light hits)

We finally made it. I'm so happy. I know many of you have been asking for a Spanish translation even before we released the full game, so, here it is! I hope you enjoy it. I can't stress enough how glad I am for us to have such an awesome community ^_^

On top of that, we're also participating in SimFest right here on Steam! Give the organizers (Fireshine Games, Stray Fawn, and Future Friends Games) and participants some love and be sure to check out all the cool games being showcased. To commemorate the occasion, we're gonna be a chill -80% off for 10 days until August 3rd!

Ahhh I'm so glad I can finally say that we got the game done in Spanish. Do note that the translation is going to be updated in the coming days and there may be some small adjustments to the texts here and there, because we really wanted to get the update out by today, because of the start of our participation in SimFest. I do hope that you'll have a good time with the game!
