Introducing Chrono Weaver Demo v2.1.0

In this update we added some sweet VFX for bounce multipliers. Now you can see how many bonus points you are going to get. And if you get a really high score on a level angels will sing! We also moved the flip menu tutorial to the introduction to timeloop so that you can use it during the first 5 levels of the game. This should improve your experience through the start of the game considerably. We also fixed a bunch of bugs around holding things in your hand, as well as other small bugs in a lot of places.

Full List of Changes:

- Hands on Oculus Grab Markers better
- Grabbing of physics objects significantly improved. Especially the left hand.
- The Timeline tutorial now includes teaching the Flip Menu.
- Yoto explains more about the puzzles, including circuits and reminding the player about the flip menu
- TIM now only requires 1 lever pull and 1 lever push between timelines.
- Goal holders should now turn off when the goal isn't moving.
- Circuits now flash blue when on and are red when off.
- Removed some doors that were only 6ft high. Sorry tall people!
- Added a flip menu tutorial in the main menu for people in strange level completion states.
- Added the ribbon effect to the tutorial and target practice balls
- Added VFX for bounce scores
- Added new SFX for getting highscores on puzzles. Can you make the angels sing?
- Added a visual display for the tutorial to help people who miss what Yoto is saying
- Improved functionality of the flip menu to remove accidental uses

- Fixed bugs with TIM spawning at the wrong height

  • Soul Shop Sale rotation, i forgot that for a few patch, it's about time.
  • Multiplayer Test going for another 20 bosses starting 25th July. Server has been holding strong since our provider gave us a new machine 🙂.

Update:
  • Skull Powder unlock have been reworked to open earlier.
  • Soul shop level will increase every 10 Ascension after reaching A#50, instead of every 5 Ascension, and will likely have bigger value after A#100 etc (yes yes A#100 confirmed!).
  • Renown Level after 50 have been reworked, it will provide a bonus 10x smaller but level up 10x faster. The experience required from previously level 50 to 55, will now be the same experience required from 50 to 100. Beyond level 100 the bonus is again reduced by 5x. Renown getting super strong, it was needing a small slowdown. But instead of getting a level every month for a "big" boost, you will now daily get a level for a smaller boost.
  • Equipment Bonus Sweet Potato slightly improved.
  • Sweet Potato Upgrade Item Rating base bonus up from 5% to 25%.
  • Sweet Potato Upgrade Pet Damage base bonus up from 2% to 10%.
  • Expedition soft cap around player sitting at A#50, no one will be affected before xmas.

Fix:
  • Loading League first and switching to Normal mode made Sweet Potato / Skull Powder Assembly Line not work properly.
  • Farming Shop page 2 & 3 is now working.
  • Class Exp breaking at 21.7 Million levels into a class won't happen.

Hello Topplers! Thank you for your continued support of the game! We have a large update for you this time around. We have done our best to address as many concerns as possible and will continue to do so as we carry on working on the game. We have also added many new features! Here are the patch notes:

Maps
Map Graphics/Art Update
The models and graphics of every single map have been reworked!

New Map
A completely new map, the Pirates Cove, has been added to the game, including a new soundtrack made by Tim Haywood!

Mini Toppler
Knockback Rework
The way knockback works has been completely changed from the ground up. Overall it should now feel a lot more consistent. Speed no longer gives a massive advantage against being knocked back, meaning only building speed is now a “glass cannon” kind of build as originally intended. The knockback rework has also made knockback resistance way more useful, maxing out knockback resistance now actually provides a very significant reduction in the amount of knockback you take, knockback resist also makes you take a lot less health damage! Knockback should also feel a lot more predictable now, getting hit by a cannon for example, should provide an equal amount of knockback regardless of the direction the mini Toppler is facing (providing all other factors, like health level and knockback resistance level are the same).

Health system
A new health system has been added to the mini Toppler! Taking knockback now takes away health, health passively regenerates constantly even whilst being hit. The less health you have, the more knockback you take. If your health gets too low, it will enter “critical mode” where you must not take damage for a few seconds in order for it to regenerate. Whilst in critical mode, you are most susceptible to knockback and more towers can initiate “Flop Mode”.

Flop Mode
Flop mode is exactly what it sounds like! The mini player can actually properly flop now! Some knockback sources, like the wrecking ball, laser and giant bouncy pillar, will initiate flop mode regardless of health. But once your health reaches “critical mode”, other towers, like cannons and all levels of the bouncy pillar, will also be able to initiate flop mode.

Shield Rework
Rebalanced how much damage towers do to shields (cannons, wrecking balls, spinners and bouncy pillars now do more damage to shields).

Increased the health of shields across the board.

Health Bars
Added a pair of health bars to the bottom of the mini Toppler UI. One indicating health, and one indicating shield health. These hide if you have not recently taken damage.

Huge Toppler
Some weak towers have been reworked
The Fanatron 3000 now shoots air in every single direction, instead of just 3 directions. So if you are near it, no matter what, you will be pushed away.

The triple machine gun as it was before has been removed from the game and replaced with a different tower completely. The new version fires homing bullets!

The ice cannon now has a pretty large AOE effect and fires more often. It can also shoot through shields.

Since the way knockback works has been changed significantly, all towers have been rebalanced to fit the knockback rework.

Slingshot
A new tower, the “Slingshot” has been added to the game! It serves as a cheap base projectile tower, only costing 5 tokens, and upgrades to the original base level cannon and machine gun for a further 10 tokens. This means the big toppler now has something to place in a pinch if they only have a few tokens lying around.

Other Balancing
Fixed an issue which made black holes much more powerful around ice towers. This is still the case, but it has been dialled back slightly.

The blizzard tower radius has been increased.

Bugs
Fixed the random choosinator causing the game to freeze if the person chosen to be the mega player left the game (please confirm that this works as it may need further attention).

Fixed some unintended behaviour in sandbox mode if you joined it after leaving a multiplayer game.

Skins

6 new skin patterns have been added to the daily cannon, with a combined 56 color versions!


Next day patch (22/07/2024)
Hey Topplers! A few bugs and issues that arose with last night's update have been fixed, the changes are live now and the latest version is now 1.3.0.3

- Black holes have been slightly buffed across the board.
- Fixed legs acting strangely in the Pirates Cove map.
- The lowest 3 levels of wrecking ball no longer cause guaranteed flop mode if you’ve purchased a knockback resist item.
- Fixed edges of the screen staying red sometimes after you take damage as the Mini Toppler.
Tunguska: The Visitation - Enhanced Edition - Rotorist
- Fixed a bug with starting NG+ not transfering items to Sidor's locker. (requires restarting the NG+ by leaving Tunguska again)

- Added some finesse to gamepad and mouse auto-aim. If there are two enemies on top of each other (one on second floor), you can push the gamepad right stick all the way up to prioritize aiming at the higher elevation enemy. You can do the same by moving the mouse up and down while auto-aiming to "toggle" between the two.

- Option "Gamepad combat camera rotation" now applies to both melee and firearm aiming

- Fixed a bug with Sanatorium level quest where your personal state isn't properly reset when you wake up

- When using a sniper/scoped rifle with gamepad/auto-aim controls, if you are not locked onto any enemies, the scope will not show up. This is to reduce motion sickness when the scope "hops" around.


I would like to thank everyone for your patience. A game like Tunguska is literally uncharted territory in the gaming industry - there are so many ways combat and exploration can feel awkward with the 3D, top-down, real time combat against gun-wielding enemies. I don't know if I can ever make it perfect for everyone, I'm just trying the best I can :) Really wish there was another game just like this that got everything right so that I can learn from it, but I don't think such game exists...
