We're coming to you with our final update to the Glyphica demo today. Once again we want to thank you all for playing the game, joining our Discord, and giving us feedback. You've helped us make the game so much better, and most of those changes have foud their way into the demo.
However as we raised in the previous announcement, the demo will stop being updated as some point as we focus our attention on the Early Access build of the game. We have reached that point now. This will be the last update of the demo, with the exception of any patches to fix game breaking bugs.
Progress will not be Transferrable
Please be aware that your progress in the demo will not be transferrable to the Early Access version of the game. The Early Access version of the game adds mechanics and changes systems in a way that will make progress non transferrable. We know that this may be frustrating to some of you, but we hope that you understand and appreciate the demo regardless and look forward to our additions in the Early Access build.
Language Experimentation
Glyphica has been designed in a way that weapon choices are meaningful, many of them being triggered by the first letter of a word. While this makes the game much more strategic than your average typing game, it does mean we can’t simply throw in a wordlist in your language and expect it to work.
For Early Access our current focus is to release with Japanese language included, since we have so many fans from Japan already. But for other languages we will be testing them first before adding official localization during the Early Access process. In the future we also plan to add mod support so that you can share your own wordlists with other players.
But in the meantime we don’t want to leave you hanging. We already have some built in tools that we are using to test out different languages. If you want to play with them in the demo, we have prepared a guide for you to do that:
Glyphica Localization Process While you cannot share your wordlists as a mod just yet, you should be able to share .jsonc files with other players using your same language.
Events Schedule
Our lead dev XM will be taking Glyphica on the road very soon, bringing with him the latest version of the game: Bitsummit in Kyoto BICFest in Busan If you happen to be around, drop by to say hello and give the latest version of the game a spin.
That's all for now, typists, we'll be back with more news soon!

Things are going well! Really well, even. Several scenes have been set up, with multiple animations. And I'm very happy because I had the opportunity to reuse what I had learned about Blender and Daz. And this without any problems, and even without losing much time (less than a day to do a whole animation, including the Blender part).
Oh, I can't help myself, I have to show you!
This gif is at 25 fps, while the original animation is at 60 fps. Honestly, I feel like the result is really professional. It really bodes well for what's coming next, and I'm very pleased with it! And there are 4 animations in this scene. Some short, some longer, for a total of 25 seconds.
Otherwise, I didn't just do 4 animations over the past month. Oh no no! Far from it. I also set up 4 more classic scenes of "character building," but also we're starting to put the finishing touches on some story plots.
It might not seem like it, but these scenes are the biggest part of the game's renders. And when there are multiple characters in the scene, it's even longer because you have to pose all the characters, etc...
Anyway, here are the numbers!
963 renders (yes!) 6500 animation frames (109 seconds) 3500 scripted lines and 500 more to script 3200 finished scripted lines
For this chapter, I'm making good progress, I have one classic but heavy in animation scene left, 3 classic scenes, 1 fairly short scene with one or two animations, two naughty scenes, and two action scenes, one not too heavy and the other a bit larger.
I know it's taking a long time, and I thank you immensely for your patience. Know that this chapter will be the biggest in terms of animation, game time, and scenes :)

The Holy Copper Monastery is an emerging religious sect that worships the new god Indies.
The notorious assassination organization Bloody Angels, which once had caused havoc in Mekaa, vanished overnight. However, when they were rediscovered hiding in the dark forest at the border between Riverpari and the Grayrock, the world found that those bloodthirsty killers had all transformed into devout religious believers.
They recognized the potential of magic copper, however sniffed at the rumbling machinery and the tide of steel. They believed that magic copper is not raw material for industry but a panacea for mankind.
The mysterious leader of the sect, Naga, never revealed her true face.
Under her mask, she preached, spread the gospel, and cured diseases for the crowd. She rejected payment, asking only them to remember her words: "Miracles’ will follow… if you are willing to pay a price of faith."
Countless believers prostrated themselves under her tiara, yearning for even a word of her direct teachings. Although few were honored enough to enjoy such privilege. It's said that those most favored by her could not only hear the secret gospel…… but also receive her direct instruction of the mysterious “Puppetry”!
There were three of the most outstanding believers in the monastery.
The devout "Nun", who saved countless lives and was said to know every letter in the gospel; "Dark Doctor", the monastery’s surgeon, highly professional in human anatomy; "Blood Rose", charming yet weird, who would bring doom upon anyone who dared utter her real name.
Until one day, Naga mysteriously vanished.
so was the monastery’s holy relic—a rare piece of magic copper enshrined in the main hall. As one of the outstanding believers, you’ll take on a journey to find Naga and the relic. You are not just a believer of Indies, but also a Puppeteer personally selected and trained by Naga herself. You can decipher the clues left behind by Naga… Moreover, you are hungry for truths about yourself.
We're aware of an issue causing a crash when world hopping on mobile and a fix is being worked on with high priority. Please look out for an update to the mobile client in the coming days.

Deadman: Armageddon
The latest iteration of our fast-paced PvP game mode launches this Friday! Before we get into it, don’t forget to check out this blog, which covers all the mechanics and a full list of everything that’s changed since Deadman’s last outing.
You may be wondering why we’ve chosen to launch Deadman: Armageddon on a Friday, when our game updates are typically a midweek affair. The reason we're moving to 'late on Friday' openings is to give our players the opportunity to start progressing straight into a weekend so that you can hide yourself away from responsibility and get stuck in.
And Deadman: Armageddon will have plenty to get stuck into! This temporary game mode spans two weeks and features rapid account progression, powerful Sigils that redefine your gameplay, worldwide PvP chaos, and Breaches where you'll tackle hordes of bosses while fending off loot-hungry players. It all culminates in a Grand Finale on Saturday, August 3rd at 18:00 BST (tune in on our Twitch channel!) where we'll be trying out a brand new format: five finales across five combat brackets, giving everybody an opportunity to optimise their builds and compete like never before.
If it’s your first time trying Deadman, check out this video featuring tips from our own PvP expert Mod Manked, along with Dino, Skill Specs, Port Khazard, Eliop14, Katerena, C Engineer, Jcw and PureSpam to help you start out strong for Armageddon! Thank you to the wonderful Paak for putting it all together!

What's New?
You can learn everything you need to know about Deadman: Armageddon in this blog, but we’ll share the highlights here.
For the most part, Deadman: Armageddon is building on the success of last year's Deadman: Apocalypse and amplifying things up to 11.
This year, we'll have four Breaches per day and introduce brand-new 'Region Breaches'. Region Breaches see monsters spawn across an entire area such as Misthalin, Asgarnia, perhaps even Varlamore - you'll have to wait and see! An extra breach per day keeps the doctor away, but one of them will spawn at a completely random time, meaning the schedule looks a little like this:
03:00 BST
11:00 BST
20:00 BST
Mystery, totally random time - it could literally pop up at any moment!
The Breaches with a 'fixed' time will alternate between the Breaches you've come to expect from Deadman: Apocalypse and the brand-new Region Breaches, one after the other, for the duration of the tournament. The mystery-time Breach will choose at random between a 'regular' or a Region Breach, so stay on your toes!
Getting involved with Breaches will earn you Points, helping you secure a higher spot on the Leaderboard and a chance to win a slice of this year’s $25,000 Prize Pool.
You can also earn Points by participating in Breaches, or progressing your account through PvM, Skilling, Quests, Combat Achievements, Achievement Diaries, and even Clue Scrolls. This year, for the first time, you’ll also be able to use your Deadman Points to earn tradeablecosmetic rewards for the main game!
These rewards, as voted on by you, include God Cape recolours, Corrupt Weaponry Kits, a new Rug for your Player Owned House, and perhaps our favourite Home Teleport Override Animation to date.
Here's a look at the new Imbued God Cape looks in-game, including Saradomin and Guthix variants that we've not shown off before!
Flex your ferocity to cover up the embarrassment of forgetting to bring a teleport!
Score yourself a snazzy rug, shown here with some neat cut-outs for the details
Above are the models for the Corrupt Dark Bow and Corrupt Volatile Nightmare Staff - you'll be able to snag these looks for yourself alongside Corrupt kits for the Voidwaker and Armadyl Godsword!
You’ll be able to purchase these in the main game from Nigel in Lumbridge Graveyard after Deadman: Armageddon wraps up and your points are transferred over. Just like Leagues, you won’t be able to spend your points on rewards until the event is over.
We cannot stress enough: you earn Points by doing just about anything and all of these rewards are tradeable. Whether you’re a PvP pro or a tentative newbie, there are rewards for everyone – so there’s never been a better time to get into Deadman.
If you do happen to be a seasoned PvP player, you might want to shoot for one of our grand prizes. This year, we’re splitting the Finale into five combat brackets (Combat Levels 45-50, 51-70, 71-90, 91-110 and 111-126). The winners from each bracket will earn a slice of the prize pool, allowing players to theorycraft their way to the win in all kinds of different combat brackets. You can also earn prize money and medals by moving up the Leaderboard and scoring an entry in our raffle draw.
Sounds exciting, eh? Other changes include brand new Breach monsters and Corrupt Weapons, Blighted Overloads, changes to Prayers that are sure to shake-up lower combat brackets, reworked, revived and rebalanced Sigils, Global Loot Table changes, and your first chance to experience Scurrius, Varlamore, and Tormented Demons in a seasonal game mode. Deep breath.
So, what are you waiting for?! Oh, right. You’re waiting for Friday, July 19th at 17:00 BST, when Armageddon begins! See you there... if you dare!
While Guthix Sleeps
This iconic quest made its way to Old School last week, sending players on a whirlwind adventure to stop a powerful artefact from falling into the wrong hands...
We were thrilled to see you all so excited to relive the iconic moments in this quest, embracing the nostalgia and encountering old enemies. Also, have you spied that new loading screen yet? Stunning.
However, we were quickly made aware of a number of feedback points from the community, many of which we addressed in an update to last week’s newspost. The team didn't stop there though and have been working on more hotfixes, which led to the following changes:
Re-renamed the Bone Claws to Burning Claws.
Tormented demons will no longer lose focus on their original target during combat when a new player enters the area, meaning they won't wander off and ruin your strategy.
Tormented demons no longer switch to another player during the special attack if the player they’re already attacking has been in the area a long time.
We have adjusted the spawn locations of the tormented demons so its more straight forward for those who only want to fight one or want to fight multiple.
We also took time to focus on your feedback regarding the tormented demons’ loot table which you should see reflected in-game later today via a hotfix. Here’s what we plan to do:
Remove low tier herbs
Remove some lower value seeds
Remove Fire Runes
Remove Vile Ashes
Up the value of alchables (Adamant becomes Rune, the previous Rune becomes Dragon)
Add an additional Rune alchable
Shortbows, Battlestaves, and Malicious Ashes drop as noted
Reduce the drop rate of Burning Claws (formerly known as Bone Claws) by ~17%
Coupled with the 17% reduction in drop rate, we'd like to take a moment to reassess the power of the Burning Claws. While they deal less damage per hit than some alternatives, their low energy cost was causing them to outperform items like Voidwaker and the Dragon Claws in a few too many cases. "We'll evaluate the spec cost and see whether or not it might need to increase since it's slightly overperforming our expectations.
We're hoping that these changes alongside the fixes to the tormented demon's behaviours will make your wins more satisfying!
The team are still working to address further feedback points, and we'll be keeping you updated as they go.
Other Changes
Stamina Mixes can now be used to charge the Ring of Endurance interchangeably with Stamina Potions.
Mosol Rei’s warning messages for climbing over the cart can now be disabled.
