A Storm Unsung - Xessous
Greetings once again,

I am Xermillion Glass and today we will be talking about the self-styled Keeper of Knowledge, Mirei Blueleaf.

Ah, an aside: I have been asked to include species in these musings by some of my reader. I found it unnecessary, for as long as you know their backstory, you should be able to puzzle out their species, but of course, not everyone has as much understanding of the histories of the Wind Kingdoms as I do.

In any case, Mirei is a mouse.

The Blueleaf, as it were, only goes back two generations to Mirei's grandfather, Skäz the spice trader.

Skäz was an urchin from the slums of Stonegrove, born to a single mother with who knows how many siblings, his life was never likely to be anything of note. How he obtained his first trading cog, I am uncertain, but Mirei tells that the high lord of Stonegrove saw him one day, doing some urchin thing or another, and decided to bestow upon him a lordship, a fleet, and lands. I sincerely doubt this rendition of events, of course, Skäz, as Mirei, is a mouse and mice are as like to tell the truth as to lie to your face. Mirei, however, seems to be earnest in her telling of all tales concerning Skäz. In any case, Skäz did, in fact, gain a petty lordship, a minor fleet, and middling lands from Forendar Lin - the ruling lord of Stonegrove at the time.

Mirei's father, Skein, was born into nobility, though only the trappings of such. For all he was, Skein Blueleaf wanted the best for his firstborn daughter, and made sure she learned to read and write.

Mirei took to the written word better than I even did, if you believe her words, and that was that. The girl herself is a sweet, young thing, who seems not to wish harm upon anyone and frankly, seems less than interested in ending the curse that has befallen her and her brethren. She spends most of her time mesmerized by the hearthfire in the Egg and Basket, or else reading her tome.

From whence the tome that Mirei carries, only Keln Kai knows, but the tome she carries is magnificent indeed. It seems to never end, no matter how much she reads, it continues to provide. What she sees there, I do not know, as any other would-be reader simply finds the pages blank. She claims it contains all the secrets one could wish to know, but she has never proven as such. I, myself, believe the book is cursed, brought forth from some bleeding crevasse rent into the stone of some fell land beyond the Wind Kingdoms as the book itself feels wrong, as if its mere presence upon Mirei's lap is an affront to life itself. It could even be from the blighted lands of ancient Tra'gluun for all I know. But Mirei will not listen, enraptured as she is. One day it will be her undoing, likely upon the day that Saren is put to rest.

Main

All of the ways that Mirei defends herself are queer indeed. Queerer still is the fact that Mirei is, in fact, a null. Thus all of her mana must be pouring forth from that putrid tome. Her primary defense is to rip a page from the tome and toss it, as one throws a knife. The page splits in two the first time it strikes something and sends dangerous shards directly left and right.

From the monkey, she can learn to: cause the page to split four times instead of two, detonate the page knocking foes hit into the air, or allow the page to pierce through, splitting with each strike.


Secondary

Mirei is also want to cause an explosion of pages, tossing a handful into the air at once. This harms those struck and knocks them into the air.

The shroomery can teach her to: launch her foes further into the air, increase the breadth of the explosion, or create a long-lived cyclone of paper at the location, launching herself into the air as well.


Dodge

She is also capable of very quick travel using the book. She teleports instantly from one place to another, stunning all those nearby at both the start and the end.

From the shroomer, she can learn to: spawn one of those aforementioned paper cyclones at the start of her jump, increase the stunning area at both ends, or no longer stun those struck but deal vastly more harm to those caught inside.


Ultimate

Mirei's most prized ability, is the most fell as well. She summons a phantasm of the book, which hovers high above her. This rains down mana-laden pages, which harm everything nearby for a long duration.

From the monkey, she can learn to: increase the size of the paper storm, periodically spawn her queer paper cyclones, or increase the harm that her storm causes, based on how long the storm has been active.

Mirei is a bright girl, the daughter of a petty lord, and well read to boot. She will likely die mysteriously one day, with only her tome to be found. I have named it, Yliöynkinää - the tome which blights in the common tongue. Keili felt appropriate for something so old and fell as that.

And with that, we end our talks of an unfortunate girl. Next week, I'll be talking of another from Solveria, though this one much less royal - Keeku, a foot soldier that once lived as a retainer for Naan Solverian.

以下是Playtest Demo V0.5版本更新的详细内容:

美术及视觉效果优化

  • 优化:大地图由1:1调整为16:9,并额外增加了一些地图动态元素效果。

  • 新增:加入了一批新的剧情场景原画图(数量比较多就不一一展示了)

  • 新增:为一些【特殊词缀】和【装备效果】以及【增益、减益】添加了对应的人物特效。


  • 新增:人物被击败后现在会有过渡退场效果,不会一直躺地上挺尸了。

  • 优化:普通技能的释放文本展示现在会更加明显。


系统功能

  • 新增:【医馆】批量治伤功能。当【虎焰堂】发展度达到30以后可通过【修建济世堂】行动解锁,费用会比使用伤药略贵一些。


  • 重做: 重做了【打猎】相关的日常玩法,打猎现在会在各地刷新,并提供不同的选项来获取对应的药物、材料或者消耗品等。此外,在打猎达到一定次数后可以在某些地方狩猎【强大的野兽】,以获得对应的装备奖励。


  • 新增:特殊的狩猎战利品装备,成功击败野兽Boss后会获得。


  • 新增:【万雀溪谷】专属武学及装备(【万雀溪谷】下属的各据点发展度达到30后,在商店里购买获取)。



剧情

新增: 【豪猪长垄】的额外分支剧情。

优化:调整战斗中获得、失去BUFF显示文本,以区别正常的伤害飘字。

优化:调整行动列表一些文本颜色与字体大小,以解决字体过小、颜色过亮导致的辨识度过低费眼睛的问题。
Isle Goblin Playtest - Kilowatt Games
0.0.30 fixes major issues introduced an hour ago in 0.0.29:
- Enemies weren't taking any damage because their health was constantly 0. Now fixed.
- Knight and torch sprites were flickering visually. Should be fixed now.
- It looked like the warpaint NPC wasn't spawning in the center of the jungle temple, but he did when I tested it again. Hopefully resolved, perhaps I selected an old island the first time it happened
Grapplers: Relic Rivals - AllyProductions
  • Intrepid explorers have discovered a new location in Chillwind Ascent!: Astral Terrace.
  • Adding a screenshot of the final frame of the match to the win screen to capture that epic moment you triumphed over your rivals... and for extra bragging rights.
    • This screenshot will also be saved in the screenshot folder (See below), but gets overwritten each time a match is completed. You must copy it elsewhere before completing another match if you wish to immortalize it.
  • Adding Steam screenshot integration - Share some cool pictures!
    • Default Steam hotkey: F12
    • Default screenshot location: %localappdata%\GrapplersRelicRivals\Screenshots
  • Adding a grappling hook indicator to show where it will hit (And an option to disable it).
  • Character select beautification pass.
  • Making LB/RB work for menu navigation on the level and biome select screens.
