This is summer time, and I am both far from my historical documentation and working on my next project. Therefore, I will take this occasion to ship only small updates to fix minor issues, instead of more content.
These summer patches are for Windows only; Mac and Linux users will have to wait until September.
In today's patch:
* I reworked the Zhili clique AI for better defense of the Beijing Area. * I changed the cost of the new relief actions (those that cost 4 QI now only cost 3). * I fixed the behavior of the "escape" key, taking into account players' feedback.

I am actually remaking that Cold War game for PC. The aim is not only to make a more polished version but also to create a highly moddable game.
It’s hard to believe that on this day 4 years ago, we welcomed PC Porters into DEATH STRANDING for the very first time. Looking back, 2020 was such an incredibly challenging time for everyone around the world, but we took some comfort in knowing that DEATH STRANDING was connecting people in positive ways, whether it be through the power of the Social Strand System in-game or across our social media channels. It’s been wonderful to see.
Ever since DEATH STRANDING landed on PC, we’ve been overwhelmed by your enthusiasm, passion and creativity for the game. It feels like we say this every year, but we’ve had the best time engaging with you all and we want to keep this momentum going for as long as possible.

🌱How many hours of gameplay does the Dream Garden mode add?
We won't officially count the gameplay hours for our Dream Garden mode. The Dream Garden is our version of Creative Mode, and based on the experience of Creative Modes of other games, some players may spend a lot of time in it, while some won't touch it at all. We have an introduction to the Dream Garden here. Or just have a try inside the game!
🔭What's the plan ahead?
We will post on the Company Intranet regularly. A confirmed upcoming update is the Cloud Save. Please stay tuned.

🌌Early Access is Risky! Will the game get finished?
Well, Steam basically told us developers not to promise anything for certain—they are right, no one is a prophet. But in our case, we are self-funded, sustaining ourselves in a wonderful city in Japan, and financially and physically healthy. We love what we have here and definitely want to see it finished.
😖Will I LOSE my game save during the Early Access process?
Again, Steam says, don't promise anything 100% certain in the future. So we will say, our save file is kind of... simple, and we have NO intention to disrupt or reset the game progress from Early Access to full launch. In the worst case, the save file always knows which chapter and star system you are in. :P
🌵I am still hesitant!
It's perfectly fine! A game needs involvement from the community in all stages of development.
We actually have a Nekokami Early Access Current State meter that we update regularly so you can see how we are doing at a very simple glance:

On July 19, the new dark world is released. It will be available for 2 weeks for free if you have reached level 6, at the end of the event, only owners of the DLC will be able to access it.
Additionally, on July 28 you will have access to several new dark world game modes, which change daily. They will still be available to owners of the DLC.
