Unexplored 2: The Wayfarer's Legacy - jd
This week’s update mostly fixes a bunch of bugs as we have been working on some generation stuff. We are slowly changing the way ‘architecture themes’ are activated and filled in by a variety of levels. You might notice a few changes as a result of these improvements, but for now it is all rather subtle. The goal is that over time these themes will allow us to create more coherence between quest content and level architecture.

Gameplay Changes
- Improving the hill-top ruin generation template.
- Improving the small cave generation template.
- Increasing the impact of level ‘architecture’ themes on the overall appearance of a level.
- Improves the architecture associated with some minor quests (serpent gates, flame sigils, root sigils, and the staff of the surveyor).
- When you have discovered a serpent gate the node name and icon on the map change.
- Max hope is capped at 16.

Bug Fixes
- Fixes a potential freeze caused by world events while traveling.
- Patches of lava are generated on a less random grid in order to prevent accidentally blocked passages.
- Caps the maximum stuff you can get when Haven resupplies.
- Marang machines should no longer appear at the same location twice.
- Investigating a spoor that cannot be tracked has the correct message.
- You can add items to a stack in a chest, even if all the chest’s slots are filled.
- The list of accomplishments is cleared after it is shown in the end-of-quest screen.
- The quit button in the end-of-quest screen really should only be active when you have died.
- Adds an icon for the ragged condition.
- Improves the feedback on crafting while camping when you are ragged.
- Puts the correct entrance pillars back into Haven’s generation template.
- Catches an exception that sometimes caused a level to generate with the previous data.
- Pressing escape when considering a skill after completing a quest no longer closes the skill-up menu.
- If a traveling merchant shows you their next destination on your map, that destination is added permanently.
- When playing with a control the option to ‘abandon wayfarer’ is no longer advertised in the load menu.
- When you play in ‘no travel back’ mode and you reload the game after completing a quest but before traveling further you are not sneakily returned to Haven.
- Brings back the quest goal indicator in the in-game HUD.

Ale Abbey - Monastery Brewery Tycoon - Shiro_Steven
Congratulations, Your Maltiness! You are now on the brink of managing your own abbey, and it will be your responsibility to ensure that this monastery excels in beer brewing, both in quantity and quality.

To help you navigate this journey, we've prepared some guides to help you master the craft!
Today’s topic - Making your own recipes

A clean recipe in a clean room

To master the art of brewing ale, the first step is to create your own recipes. For this, you'll need to utilize the library—a room dedicated to knowledge and its effective use. In this space, the monks and nuns you assign will be able to develop new beer recipes for you to craft. Simply send a monk to the desk, and embark on the journey to brew the ale of your choice!

Work diligently but wisely, lest you discover the ground makes a poor pillow.

Recipe-crafting

Once a monk/nun is working on a recipe, you can select the style you desire—whether it's light, blonde, or old ale—and choose your ingredients. You'll have access to a wide variety of ingredients. Combining unique elements with essential ones will impact the qualities and virtues of your brew!

Perfect the recipe, for each tweak can lead to a new and exciting taste adventure.
The ingredients influence the beer on 4 different virtues:
  • Taste
  • Colour
  • Strength
  • Foam
Each style has a base in each of the virtue to reach, but you are free to experiment in preparation of specific orders. Don't mess the order of a foamous lord!

Taste and stats

The final aspect to consider is the statistics. Although less important than taste, they are still useful to know. The number of ingredients and the specific monk/nun assigned to craft the recipe will affect various factors. These include the creation cost, shelf life, and development time of the beer. Paying attention to these details will help you achieve optimal production.

Once all these steps are completed, the last thing to do is to name your recipes. Make sure to choose a name that is both catchy and memorable!

  1. Choose a style
2. Take the ingredients
3. Assign the monk
4. Name your creation!

The recipe is ready!

Once your recipe is ready, you'll be able to send your monks/nuns to brew as many batches as needed. However, we will cover this in a later section of this guide...

If you have any questions about this part, feel free to comment here on Steam or over on our discord!

See you next time for another part of the brewmaster code...

Into The Dread - FruitfulDima
Into The Dread is now available on Steam!

Will you be able to escape from this nightmare and kill everyone standing in your way?
Prince of Persia The Lost Crown - Ubi_Kosmonape
Metroidvanias are built on the promise of a rich and interconnected world.
To build such a place and create the best homage to a mythological Persia, the artists of the dev team crafted memorable biomes with excruciating detail.
Let’s take a look at some of them.

Mount Qaf
Around here, time follows its own rules.
Hourglasses don’t flow swift and sure in one direction – sometimes they run backward, or even stop entirely. Tales talk about a time curse and the disappearance of the Simurgh, god of time and knowledge.

The Lower City
The city was abandoned about 30 years ago and is now all quiet when the Persian army and the Immortals enter it. Although, with a little patience and a sharp eye, a few creatures can be seen wandering around…

The Hyrcanian Forest
In the magical place, it’s autumn all year round. So, if you like the orange shades of autumn leaves, you’ll love this place (just stay on your guard for a potential forest warriors ambush).

The Sacred Archives
Some people might think being locked up in a library is a dream come true, but not everyone agrees. The archives here have been transformed into an actual prison – best to stay quiet around it’s guardian!

The Depths
Dark and depressing sewers, leading nowhere but down into ancient, forgotten catacombs. Be careful where you walk though, because you might bump into The Collector looking for rare items.
And who knows what passes for a ‘rare item’ in this strange place.

The Sunken Harbor
There are always a million surprises to discover in a harbor, from all over the world. Unfortunately, right now the only surprises you’ll find are a bunch of undead and some dangerous traps.

The Pit of Eternal Sands
This desert area is where you can most clearly see all the evil that the curse has brought. With no surprise, it’s where one of Persia’s most terrible monsters, the Darkest of Souls, makes its home.

The Tower of Silence
Even for Persia’s mountains, this place is dizzyingly high and crazy cold- certainly forcing a sense of respect. Speaking of respect, here, the whole royal family lies buried, including the beloved King Darius.

Well, now that’s what we’d call a long news post! And we haven’t even talked about all of the explorable biomes, but we also don’t want to spoil too much, right?
See you next time for more details on the characters that populate such a place.

Talk to you very soon,
Your Prince of Persia Community Team
