- We are currently working on the demo version of the game! The scheduled date for the game's demo is August 6, 2024. And in that time we calculated the time left until the end of development, which would be in the penultimate week of December 2024! It's good to make it clear that it may YES be delayed, but this is the date we plan to release the game.

This hotfix is adressing the broad issue of optimization in performance in general, and more specifically in the late game, where the action becomes intense and many monsters make actions, the player has gotten many enchantements and effects and there's many monsters at once.

Technical:
-Increased graphics performances of monsters.
-Reduced the CPU overhead of dead monsters.
-Fixed an issue that would prevent a spell from casting if the animation played too fast comparatively to the framerate of the game.
-Fixed monster slain on game over screen not being shown
-Heavily optimized the application of effects such as enchants and talents, reducing the lag-spikes when a monster spawns or dies.
-Reduced the CPU usage spikes occuring when many monsters change state at once, such as dieing from AOE spells.
Gameplay:
-Fixed a bug where Twinned Rebirth would create monsters beyond the control limit
-Fixed Shattered Bones not trigger on certain cases. Increased visibility of the fragments.
-Dash's invulnerability period now prevents negative effects from being applied to Irea.
-Fixed Swift Slice's new modifiers triggering on killing lesser monsters.
-Reduced the occurence of Empty rooms appearing on the map

-Increased the visibility of some VFX on bright background

[Unify Attack Power]

In Dragon is Dead, the DEV team wants our players to be able to freely mix and match their progression and experiment with it.
We felt that the current two separate ways of applying damage conflicted with this direction.
So, we're unifying physical and magical damage into damage, which will require us to re-plan and revise all of the components involved.

We are planning to apply unique motions for basic attacks by weapon type.

[Regarding flying monsters and unavailability of skill use in the air]

Some of the most negative feedback is that flying monsters are difficult to kill without using skills in the air. To address this, we are working on several legendary pieces of equipment and artifacts that can be used to deal efficiently with aerial monsters.
For example, legendary equipment that generates guided projectiles and converts core skills into aerial skills, etc.




[Skill balance]
We recognize the issue of specific skills being overpowered by legendary gear. However, we do not believe that simple numerical balancing alone will solve this issue. We're addressing this by adding fun new Legendary gear that increases the power of skills that are currently underpowered or don't have Legendary gear, in addition to numerical balancing. We'll continue to add fun new Legendary gear on a weekly basis as we get major bugs and system cleanup underway.


[More spots for legendary gear drop]
  • We're adding more ways to drop Legendary gear.
  • Bosses will have a chance to drop an additional Legendary Gear from the Red Orb they drop.
  • Bertio has a chance to drop Legendary gear when you gamble.
  • Ruby Chests have a chance to drop Legendary gear.

[Expanding warehouse]
We will be making it possible to expand the Warehouse using Magic Stones
[Adding a new currency Soul Shard]
  • We'll add a new currency called Soul Shard.
  • The new currency (Soul Shard) can be obtained by defeating bosses.
  • Added a Grinder to Hank's Forge in Cliffshire that can salvage Legendary Equipment.
  • Salvaging Legendary Equipment will give you Soul Shards

The number of Soul Shards dropped will be higher with greater difficulties and for late-stage bosses.

[Changes to Legendary Equipment]
To craft Legendary Gear, you must obtain it at least once to unlock the blueprint.
  • All blueprints for Legendary gear you already own will remain unlocked.
  • You will need to reacquire Legendary gear that you previously owned but sold and is no longer in your Warehouse or inventory.
  • Burning Heart now requires Soul Shard to craft Legendary Gear.
  • Increased the amount of Magic Stones required to craft Legendary Gear (1,500 → 5,000)

[Legendary Weapon Synergy Stat]

Legendary Gear (Weapons) will have a chance to grant +1 random Synergy when acquired and crafted.
  • 10% chance to be granted

[Upcoming Legendary Gear]


Thunderbolt Throwing Hammer for Spellblade only
  • Change your Sword of Lightning skill to a Hammer Throwing ranged skill. The hammer bounces off the first enemy it hits up to 5 times for 100-200% attack damage. Damage is reduced by 10% per bounce.
Warden of Electrocution for Spellblade only
  • Whenever an enemy suffers shock damage, a chain of lightning strikes 5 nearby enemies for 100-150% damage.
Hands of Blinding Speed for common use
  • Hitting an enemy with Basic Skills increases your Attack Speed by 5% for 1-3 seconds, up to 20%.
