Hello everyone! We're back with another update for Decktamer! As announced in our last post, this update focuses on the game's events. Previously, we had only three events: the mushroom, the resting place, and the mutagen syringe. While these were fine, they lacked diversity and player choice, and we always knew we would need to expand on them eventually. We're happy to announce that we've added 12 brand new events for you to discover! Additionally, we've restructured the game so that an event now occurs after each battle instead of every two battles. On a related note, this significant change made the game easier, so to balance things out, we’ve enhanced the AI. The AI will now move its cards to the leftmost empty lane whenever possible, making it a bit smarter and more challenging.
Curses
This update also introduces a new mechanic: curses. Curses are negative talents that cannot be removed and can be acquired in some events based on your choices. They add an element of risk to your rewards and make decisions more interesting.
Status Items
Status items make their debut as well. These items have various effects and can be obtained through an event. They can be used as additional tools in battle and can definitely come in handy!
Creature Evolutions
If you come across a Golden Beetle, beware of its mutagenic venom! If it bites one of your starting creatures, that creature will undergo a complete transformation and evolve!
And more…
This is just a brief overview of the new events, as we want you to discover the rest on your own. In any case, we plan to add even more events in the future, so stay tuned!
That's it, folks! We hope you enjoy the update. If you have ideas for new events, let us know—we'd be happy to consider your suggestions. In the meantime, we hope you have fun discovering all the new events in Decktamer!
