Hello dealers! Rafał speaking. First, a few words from me:
We are delivering you this update with a bunch of fixes and improvements that we managed to handle in a short period. In the meantime, we also analysed multiple reports considering issues with crashes as well as replication issues in coop sessions (like the lack of client or employee data on joining players, empty text messages and so on), especially in more advanced sessions with higher progress, and dug into them more deeply.

We are already working on solutions, but they will require some time to rework chunks of our code and netcode to make the problems go away for good. We tried to implement faster ways to deliver fixes to you quicker, but they didn't do the job. With some of the solutions we have in place the engine replication starts failing at some stages in some of the gameplays, and we'll need to make some more complex changes and optimizations to do the trick. The same goes for the crashes caused by memory and object count overflows that some of you are experiencing.

We are sorry for the inconvenience the issues cause for your gameplay but at the same time, we ask for your patience and understanding. It is our first coop game and the most complex and ambitious one we've ever made, and some potential problems we just were not able to anticipate.

We also already started working on implementing multiple improvements, features and QoL changes based on all the feedback and criticism gathered for you.

They will drop with the next update along with the code reworks and fixes. We will be updating you soon on the timeframe for the future updates. Stay tuned, stay safe.

CHANGELOG

Newly added features:
  • Added DLSS support to the game
  • Added angle-snapping (5 degrees) in equipment placement in hideouts
  • Added the ability to drag a single item when holding left Ctrl
  • Added boat speed parameter information in the shops

General gameplay and content improvements:
  • Added multiple new dealer spots all over the map based on player feedback
  • Improvements in some geometry, collisions and map areas
  • Multiple LOD and texture optimization work for the entire map and NPC's for better performance
  • Changed liter sign from small "l" to large "L" for readability

  • Fixed multiple translation issues, fixed some additional lacking translations and improved some of the languages with additional proofreading
  • Fixed bugs considering the torpedo quest (talk to the engineering task, torpedo launch issues, part gathering issues)
  • Fixed a bug with Janusz dialogue resetting after load (the fix is not retroactive, but it will start saving from now on)
  • Fixed some issues with police interactions
  • Fixed issues with gameplay settings considering older saves (input list not loading etc.)
  • Fixed some issues considering quick travel points on the map
  • Fixed issues with furniture placement in some hideouts
  • Fixed the container warehouse seller and his surroundings
  • Fixed being able to rob some cars without breaking into them
  • Other minor fixes

Patch #2
Questline fixes:
  • Fixed a bug preventing completion finishing the optional task to blow up a gas tank at a bandits' hideout (no tank/unable to plant a bomb);
  • Fixed a bug where Jean was getting stuck in the doors to Benita’s hideout in the “Clash of Titans” questline;
  • Fixed a bug where in some cases the crate to gather torpedo quest items was not interactable after moving away or loading the game;
  • Fixed dialogue issues regarding the moonshiner quest;
  • Fixed dialogue issues regarding Kira, preventing further game progression;
  • Fixed potential dialogue and quest issues regarding negative street cred (street cred should never be less than 0);
  • Fixed timeout issues with temporary passes to the big city (saving and loading, timeout loss when dropping or moving the item). The fix is not retroactive – it will not fix already broken pass items.

Mechanical bugfixes:
  • Fixed motorboat docking issues and prevented the levitating motorboat bug;
  • Fixed a bug where the keybind settings were not being saved properly;
  • Fixed issues with the restoring defaults not working in the settings, especially in the main menu;
  • Fixed a bug where hideout upgrades (windows and doors) were not being saved properly. The previously “lost” upgrades will not show back on the windows/doors but they will be returned to the cartel collection after the first loading of the saved game;
  • Fixed an issue where some players could experience a debt leak, causing extreme hideout power usage costs and increasing the debt fast (the issue was caused by a looped crafting query where power draining stations had their output space full);
  • Fixed issues regarding the new cartel lobby considering lobby character placement, and character selection (especially after returning to the main menu from a previous game session);
  • Prevented opening and jumping out of windows while viewing a hideout;
  • Blocked the ability to parkour through windows with bars or shutters;
  • Added the ability for window shutters to block militia gas grenades during raids;
  • Fixed multiple equipment placement issues with specific equipment or with some of the hideouts;
  • Improved visuals of the equipment placement gizmo and fixed a bug, where a solo player or host was not seeing the red gizmo color indicating the inability to place the equipment;
  • Fixed collisions for some of the map warehouses;
  • Fixed collisions on staircases in some enterable houses and hideouts;
  • Fixed recalculating hideout stats after the game was loaded.

Quality of life and content improvements:
  • Fixed UI issues on certain resolutions (character or crafting UI clipping, causing it to be unusable);
  • Added multiple missing translations and removed Polish sentences and phrases from the game;
  • Added a setting in the controls section to switch between Toggle or Hold mode for sprinting;
  • Multiple environment fixes considering paths, buildings and landscape;
  • Added the ability to pause the game and access the pause menu while using a vehicle;
  • Added a temporary “emergency teleport” option to the pause menu, which will teleport a blocked/glitched player out of geometry i an issue occurs. The option will remain available until most map/collision and parkour glitches are fixed;
  • Fixed casual client spawn points positions all over the map;
  • Fixed multiple quick travel spots (cars) positioning all over the map, and fixed some of the quick travel spots being available too early.

Patch #1
  • Added launch option (DirectX 11) that should help people with problems with too bright screen;
  • Fixed an issue where FOV can be saved and set up on the 0;
  • Fixed an issue where hiding a table might not have been possible;
  • Fixed an issue with not being able to pick up the weapon of a defeated opponent;
  • Fixed an issue where temporary passes to Bahia de Oro could be used even though they had expired;
  • Lowered the volume of the motorboat in the intro;
  • Added information about the number of unread hints in the journal;
  • Adjustment of prices of some products in stores;
  • Added additional decorative furniture to stores;
  • Added a medical post in Bahia de Oro;
  • Fixed some of the problems with translations;
  • Added credits in the main menu;
  • Other minor fixes.

We hope all of you have been enjoying Disney Speedstorm’s Season 8, inspired by Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out. Part 2 of the season is approaching fast, and we have a mid-season hotfix ready to roll out on July 8 with improvements and fixes based on community feedback.

LOGIN CALENDAR

Season 8 will see the introduction of a Login Calendar to the game. First-time and veteran players alike will be able to claim some amazing rewards simply by logging in each day. The details of the rewards available from the Login Calendar are outlined below:



UI/UX IMPROVEMENTS

UI/UX CHANGES MADE BASED ON COMMUNITY FEEDBACK

The team has made several improvements to the game’s UI/UX based on the feedback received from the community. We will continue to make improvements based on community feedback in future updates.

• The Upgrade Racer button will no longer be selected by default in the Racer profile tab.
• Information about a Racer’s Common and Unique Skills can now be viewed regardless of whether you have unlocked the Racer or not.
• Clicking on the Racer in the Main Menu will now take you directly to the Racer profile tab.
• Clicking on a Racer in your Party in the Main Menu will now take you directly to the Party profile tab.
• The Racers button has been repositioned closer to the Play button on the Main Menu.

DUPLICATE EXCHANGE FLOW

The duplicate exchange animation flow that occurs when a duplicate item is converted into Season Coins has been shortened.

UNIQUE SKILL FIXES

We have made several fixes to Unique Skills issues that appeared with the launch of Season 8.

RACER MICKEY MOUSE

• The charged activation of his Unique Skill should now correctly grant invulnerability to rival Racers.

RACER MINNIE MOUSE

• She will now correctly receive a speed boost from both the normal and charged activations of her Unique Skill.

RACER RANDALL

• Fixed an issue causing a visual effect from his Unique Skill to persist for the full duration of races.

RACER JUMBA

• In Team Mode, the normal activation of his Unique Skill will only target the Racer in first place and not the highest placed Racer on the rival team.

RACER ANGEL
• The normal activation of her Unique Skill should now correctly grant invulnerability to rival Racers.
• She will now correctly receive a speed boost from the charged activation of her Unique Skill.

RACER JOY

• She will now correctly receive a speed boost from the normal activation of her Unique Skill.

RACER HERCULES
• Teammates will now correctly receive invulnerability by touching the trail during the normal activation of his Unique Skill.

TEAMMATE UNIQUE SKILL INTERACTION ISSUE

The team has identified an issue where certain items spawned from Unique Skills are being destroyed by the Unique Skills of their teammates. The team is working on the issue and aims to fix it in the next update.

RACER VOICEOVER

Racer Fear now has voice lines in-game.

SEASON BOXES & SEASON BOX CREDITS

SEASON BOXES

We are making adjustments to Season Boxes based on community feedback. The main adjustment is that the drop rate for Racer Shards in Epic and Rare rarity Season Boxes are being doubled. The full list of changes that will come into effect at the start of Season 8 Part 2 are listed below:

EPIC RARITY SEASON BOXES

· The drop rate of Racer Shards will be increased from 15% to 30%.
· The drop rate of Common Rarity Crew Shards will be decreased from 40% to 30%.
· The drop rate of Rare Rarity Crew Shards will be decreased from 30% to 20%.

RARE RARITY SEASON BOXES

· The drop rate of Racer Shards will be increased from 20% to 40%.
· The drop rate of Common Rarity Crew Shards will be decreased from 45% to 35%.
· The drop rate of Rare Rarity Crew Shards will be decreased from 30% to 25%.

COMMON RARITY SEASON BOXES

· The drop rate of Racer Shards will be increased from 40% to 45%.
· The drop rate of Common Rarity Crew Shards will be decreased from 30% to 25%.

SEASON BOX CREDITS

In Season 8 Part 2, the amount of Season Box Credits earnable via the Golden Pass and Season Tour is being adjusted. There will now be an even split between Season Box Credits and Reward Capsules. The total combined amount of Season Box Credits and Reward Capsules, including the repeatable tier, earnable will remain the same as in Season 8 Part 1, they will just be split evenly between the 2 types of reward.

GENERAL FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS

• Various game crash occurrences fixed across all platforms.
• We have resolved the issue causing some players to get stuck on loading screens.
• Your filter selection on the Racer Collection tab will now persist between sessions.

Fixed(?) a bug that made personal best sometimes not load your own.

Smoke that ejects from the barrel will no longer pass through objects.
Smoke will also now eject from your barrel on different weapon and regular field of views.
The Nine Tailed Celestial Fox - LouisWu
Fixed the bug where the appearance of NPCs in the Divine Race town became uniform.
Reduced the prompt duration to 2 seconds.
Fixed the bug where the town background turned white and the background image remained unchanged.
Corrected the positioning errors of some buildings in the Demon Race and Immortal Race areas.
Fixed the bug where an empty skill column in battle would default to the top-level martial art, Nine Yang Divine Skill.
Skills with mastery below 10% will no longer appear in battle cards.

New UI Elements
The Conversation Window has been reworked to be higher quality and feature a 3D portrait of the NPC you're conversing with
The Context Menu has been re-skinned and has an improve visual responsiveness
The Chat Menu has been reworked with an updated font, new visuals, a guild tab, and the option to enable timestamps
Damage numbers can be toggled on/off in the settings menu and have been reworked visually. Offensive numbers will now show ALL individual damage numbers rather than grouping them. Incoming numbers are affected by gravity and use an easy to read font
The battle utility has been reskinned and the damage source bars made larger & easier to read
New Font applied to Loading Screens
Bardcore & Chisme have been killing it implementing these new frames so show them some love! ❤️

Class SFX & VFX 🔥
We've added hundreds of new sounds, such as impact/hit effects, start/channel/finish cast, weapon hit sounds, and more to our library so we can substantially increase the audible fidelity of the game. Chisme has been cranking on this and has fully or partially updated quite a few classes already, including:

Crusader, Berserker, Dragon Knight, Demon Knight, Spellblade, Earthguard, Shadowcaster, and Infuser

New Music 🎷
Yes! I'm a huge nerd and love finding new music for the game. So I've added ~ 20 new tracks, most of which are for dungeons since we were lacking ambient noise for them. We have the music tracks linked in our disccord for you to have a listen!

QoL & Bug Fixes 🐛
3rd Person Cam:
Left-clicking to rotate the camera will no longer rotate the character to face the camera direction
The cursor stays locked in place when rotating the camera
Holding left click while right-click dragging will make the player run forward in the direction of the camera
After releasing the mouse button after a drag, the cursor will no longer interact with objects below it

Guilds 🛡️
Guilds are complete on the backend and we will be working on the UI for this next 🫡

Settings:
"Lock Element Position" Setting added to lock UI elements
"Reset UI" button added so frames can be restored to their original positions
Toggle chat timestamps added
Floating Damage numbers can be toggled on/off
"Target Both Friendly & Hostiles" can be toggled on or off. Enabling this will allow you to have a friendly and hostile target simultaneously

Misc:
Hotbars now properly save and new players will have the default keybindings assigned to their hotbars
Pathfinding has been significantly improved in most cases. We are still working on this, but the zig-zag movement should be gone when clicking-to-move
Corpse Name Tooltips now have a slightly larger font size
Icons will now appear on some enemy frames to signify their category. We need to update the entire database which we will do gradually over the next week or so
Various optimizations implemented to help improve framerates and general performance
Using the search function within the spellbook should be substantially faster
Cloaks have finally been fully updated with physics and wind effects, and now render properly in game
Hotbar slots now have a light background when 'Show Hotbar Background" is disabled
New right hand stab and slash animations added to some skills
Animations have been reworked so that abilities will always take priority over auto-attacks and will blend back into the auto attacks after being used

Happy Friday everybody!

We have a big update ready right in time for the weekend. We added a prototype area (also called grid map) where you can test and drive infinitely:





We also added five new building blocks. There are no new engines or wheels or similar yet, but inspired by your ideas, we added a new connector and four new decorative beam parts. And on top of that, there is a new speedometer which you can switch back and forth, where ScrapMan gave us the idea for.

Full changelog of v0.3.10.1:

New map
  • We added a new testing area map. It is called Supersonic. There are some areas and ramps to test your vehicle. But mainly, the map consists of a very big and wide plane, where you can infinitely test the top speed of your vehicles. As soon as you reach the end of the map, the game will teleport you to the other end of the map, without resetting your velocity 🙂
  • There are also two small race tracks in Supersonic. One is a three laps race in the oval, and the other is a wild course through the testing area
New building blocks
  • We added five new building blocks to the game. Most of the heavily inspired by our community
  • Deco Winglet 1x2x3: A small, rounded decorative winglet. Has no aerodynamic properties
  • Lasercut 3x5 Triangle: A triangular lasercut part
  • Connector double: Like the connector, but with a pin on each side
  • Part Beam Edge 3x5: A beam shaped like an ‘L’
  • Part Beam H: A beam shaped like a ‘H’
New car colors
  • To welcome the summer we included 4 new summer colors for your car which you can find all across the island
Torque curve
  • You can now see the torque curve of the previous calculation when pressing ‘X’ in the building editor. It always shows you the previous curve, and renders the current power curve on top. This way, you can compare the differences you make to your powertrain
  • You can now also inspect and enable the power curve during driving. Just press ‘N’ to switch the speed gauge
Minor Changes
  • We adjusted the prices of the weight blocks. The small weight price changed from 205 to 15, the medium weight from 480 to 28 and the big weight from 1400 to 45
  • We added a super sonic bang sound that happens, if you exceed the speed of sound
  • We removed two collision boxes from the gear shift blocks. Now you are able to put pins through the holes properly, which should make it even easier to build gear shifting mechanisms
  • You can now assign the WASD keys to a stepper motor again 😉
Bug Fixes
  • In multiplayer you can send other players your cars by right clicking them. This was bugged and didn’t work. Now it should work properly again
  • There has been a bug, where the back button in the settings menu stopped working, and one had to restart the game in order to get it working again. This should now also work again
  • I tried to fix the problem of server hosts again. Maybe now the first person which joins a server will stay host of that server, no matter if that person disconnects
  • There was a stone on the map which had no collider. That stone should be able to stop you now
  • It was possible to attach a stepper motor to the powertrain of a vehicle. Since the stepper motor had an insanely high top speed, it could be used to create waaay too powerful cars. This is no longer possible
