We are excited to release the first major update after the initial beta test!
In this update, we you now have:
Ability to set the skin of the in-game raspberry to drops you have collected Clicking the backpack icon in-game will show you all the items you have collected in a drop. You can view a full list of available items at https://getraspberries.com/database
Drop notifications After each drop cycle, as scheduled. You will be show a message if "You got a new drop!", or "You did not get a drop this time..". This was designed to help users better understand drops.
New achievements 2 hidden achievements, and 4 achievements related to click goals
Saving click progress Clicks now save and persistent even after the game has closed
Saving time in game in relation to drops This now means that you can pickup where you left off after closing the game. For example, if you play the game for 1 hour 30 minutes, close the game and reopen later, you only have to wait 30 minutes to the hit the 2 hour scheduled drop.
Easter eggs We have scattered Easter eggs throughout the game. Let us know if you find them in discord!

* Fixed main menu UI scaling to always be able to see the start game button even if the UI scale is greater than 100% on small screen resolutions. * Fixed screenshot capture in photo-mode to include bloom.
I have changed the drops slightly, they will now automatically check for available drops each minute, previously it would only check on click, but that seemed to confuse some people.
I also want to clarify that drops are capped at 4 per day.
Update to version 1.02.21, and launch the game between now, and midnight on the 5th of July to get your very own freedom shrimp :)

👷♂️📜 Planned things for any of the future update: - Ability to unequip an item (skin, background, or particle).
I was originally going to add some more gameplay to this update, but one of the next couple of updates should have some new stuff in it.
Balance Changes -Stage 1 boss (MOMO) has been altered to be less aggressive , attacks related to her flower are mostly removed and she provides a bigger window of time to be hit by players. She also no longer shifts position at the end of an attack loop and remains above the water for the duration of the fight.
-Bosses can now be re challenged immediately if you get a game over to one without having to replay stages again. Due to how stages are programmed, the background /environment that appears along with the boss will not be displayed with the boss for the time being. This limitation will be fixed in a future update.
Bug fixes Controller changes / detection are now recognised when unplugging a controller during the gameplay. Note this may cause a error in which the pause screen is shown with no text the first time this is attempted (or if it's attempted as soon as a stage starts , we are currently working on fixing this.

Hello everyone. As usual it's been a while.
And I really wish this post was to announce the release date of the update, but unfortunately free time is something I have little of these days, so I get done what I can when I can (the bus to and from work help).
It's gonna be a while longer. I've a brief video (which hopefully you've watched) about what's been happening with Dead of Night. Give it a watch if you can; I don't do this sort of thing normally so I hope I don't come across as an idiot!
If you didn't watch til the end you have the attention span of an orange. But if you did you'll know that there is a Beta version live on Steam!
Right click on Dead of Night
Goto Properties
Click on Betas
Click on NONE at the top right and select the Beta (no password).
As stated in the video, theres bugs. It's a Beta. Still so so so much that I want in this game. There's already loads implemented but you're not gonna see everything thats been done 'cause I don't want to spoil it for you!
Three of the 4 quests are in and pretty much complete bar bug testing and polish, but the only one you can complete is the diary (as I've locked the others off).
THERE'S A README IN THE INSTALL FOLDER, IT WOULD BE BEST TO START THERE.
So please, give the Beta a go...

Start the original first and have a go at it and THEN swap over to the Beta! Improvements should be instantly noticeable.
