Dear Wizards,

We are thrilled to announce that the Wizdom Academy demo will be available starting July 18, 2024!

Before this date, we are organizing two early access weekends to let you experience the game firsthand:

  • July 5 to July 8, 2024
  • July 12 to July 15, 2024

This is the perfect opportunity to dive into the magical world of our academy and discover the latest updates. To participate, don't forget to request access on our Steam page.

Until the demo release, the game will also be available for continuous playtesting. You can try the game right now and share your feedback with us.

Fixes and Improvements
  • Drought Balancing: We have revised the drought balancing, with visual and performance improvements for an even more immersive experience.
  • Introduction of the Caretaker: Rooms now degrade with use and need to be maintained by the caretaker. He can also repair damaged rooms, ensuring the academy runs smoothly.



UI and User Feedback

  • Extensive UI Work: We have added numerous tooltips and user feedback to provide you with a more intuitive and enjoyable interface.


New Content and Effects

  • Professor Recruitment Minigame: A new minigame now allows you to recruit professors for your academy.
  • New Broken Room Effects: Discover impressive visual effects when the academy's rooms are damaged.

- fixed another bug which caused winches to turn slower on higher framerates. Winch turning speed should now be fully framerate-independent.
- sheet winches for jibs and square sails should now be affected properly by the wind force on the sail
- fixed a bug where your camera would sometimes jump randomly when riding high waves
- fixed a bug where one of the uninhabited islands would not load its terrain fully
- fixed a bug where the brig's square sail sheets were attached to the top sails instead of the bottom ones (this fix will not apply if have purchased the brig with the bugged sails already)
- added an experimental 3D ropes setting. You can enable it to turn the standard flat ropes into full 3D models (currently untextured). Please report any bugs and performance issues.

In 1952, American instructors trained the first soldiers of the Japanese National Security Forces. Two years later on July 1st 1954, the Japanese Self-Defense Forces were formed. In January 1955, the United States transferred its first 85 aircraft to the Japanese Air Self-Defense Forces. In total they have 712 aircraft in service, of which 321 are fighters.

The J2M4 Kai and IJN Kiyoshimo are temporarily available for Golden Eagles!
In honor of the 70th anniversary of the Japanese Self-Defense Forces, the following vehicles are available for 3,850 and 4,880 respectively.

When: From today until July 4th (09:00 GMT).
Where: Japan > Aviation / Bluewater fleet > Premium vehicles.

About each of these vehicles
  • The J2M4 Kai is a prototype of the Raiden series, designed to improve the fighter’s performance at high altitudes. Thanks to its rate of climb and good armament, it’s best suited for passing attacks. The guns have an impressive 680 rounds of ammunition in total!

  • The IJN Kiyoshimo destroyer has decent mobility and is equipped with good anti-air defences and 16 torpedoes. Its 127 mm main guns have a slow traverse speed, but they make up for it with good ballistics and a decent rate of fire!

  • Track your progress in the hangar by clicking Nickname → Achievements → Holidays → Japan Self-Defense Forces Day.
  • You can find the decal in the “Holidays” tab in the Customization menu.

Hello Farming Friends,

we hope that you can enjoy the summer wherever you are.

We know that the inhabitants of Duda's Village are. They are taking care of their farms, go hiking, try their luck and patience at fishing and so much more.

With the Summer being the precursor for Fall, in Farmer's circles better known as Harvest Days, we can only hope that you enjoy the sun and dry spell and recharge your energy, before you have to start harvesting the crops.
And before you know it, you are caught in the everlasting change of the seasons, while your farm grows and thrives.







We cannot wait to show you version 1.0 as well as the console versions - all of them being released on July 25.

This month was "event revamp" month, as we took time to redesign the game's Events system...again. For a quick refresher on how the system worked before, read this. 👈

Done reading? Okay, let's get into the changes.

Why the Redesign? 🤔
The addition of the research system, which drives the progressive unlocking of various aspects of your business, introduced a crucial mismatch with the existing Events logic.

Suddenly, we had events triggering changes to areas of the business that had not been researched yet, causing significant confusion (to put it mildly). 😮

Clearly, we had to fix that. 😂

Redesign Goals 🎯
Our goal was twofold:
  1. Ensure that events only impact researched aspects of the company.
  2. Do the above while avoiding monotony and maintaining a fun/rewarding challenge.
Easy-peasy…or maybe not. We are still trying to solve the second part. 🤣

Anyways, the following is how the new events system currently works. It’s still in development and will be finalized after some rigorous testing.

New Design ⚒️
For the new design, we’ve:
  • Expanded the levels of events.
  • Eliminated the news selection option.
  • Introduced a more structured approach to how events unfold.
Here’s how.
Stage-Based Dynamics
The events are now divided into different stages based on in-game days. This makes more sense since the research is equally tied to game days.



Event Levels & Types 👍👎
The system now features six levels of positive and negative events. Each level unlocks as you progress through the milestones. The event level indicates the severity of the in-game impact, both positively and negatively.

For instance, a level 2 positive event will be less impactful in terms of effect and/or duration than a level 5 or 6 positive event.

This is the current event level distribution across the event stages:



As you progress through the game-day milestones, you’ll face an increasing mix of event severity, challenging you with more complex scenarios.

Event Probabilities⚖️
We have also modified the probabilities of positive, negative, and no events occurring at each game stage.

The graph below shows the current probability distribution for each type of event.


Stage 1 starts with a higher probability of positive and no events occurring. Over time, negative events increase to push out no-event instances until a balance is reached at stage 6.

We will keep you posted on any improvements and changes as we roll the system into testing.

New Improvements 🪴
Research Unlock Voiceovers: We've added voiceovers to many research items to provide essential context and guidance upon unlocking them. The system also includes playback controls and scrolling text for improved accessibility.

And for those who absolutely can't stand voiceovers interrupting their flow, we added a mute button for you.



Self-managed Stands: You now manage your first stand personally from day one. This means early savings on worker salaries and bonuses until you unlock management capabilities.



There might be a few limitations to managing your stand personally as your company grows. But the jury's still out on what those might be.

Balance Sheet and Cashflow: In keeping with the rest of the UI, we've split the balance sheet and cashflow statement into separate tabs.

We also tweaked the presentation a bit to give it that extra accounting flair. Hopefully, all ye number crunchers would love the new look. 😄



Bug Fixes 🐞
  • Fixed an issue where the CEO's 🧑‍💼 name would cause an error when the game tried to access unavailable company information.
  • Stopped the game from incorrectly trying to get multiplayer data for workers while in single-player mode. 🎮
  • Fixed an error that occurred when the game tried to create the end-of-day report 📄 while research for tier 2 items was still ongoing.
  • Fixed several variables 🔢 in the customer feedback tooltips.
  • Resolved a problem affecting uninitialized research elements when the player doesn't open the research tab after starting the game. 🧩
  • Stopped all non-interactable buttons from being highlighted. 🚫
  • Fixed an accounting error affecting burger ingredient 🍅 🥬 purchase after buying a stand.
  • Stopped research connection lines from being redrawn at runtime.
  • Fixed an issue where translated monologue text defaulted back to the local database, resulting in English monologues. 💬
  • Expired stock 🧀 is now correctly accounted for in cash flow accounting.
  • Resolved game-breaking bugs related to the events system. 🗞️
  • Stopped the music player 🎼 from crashing the game when switching back to the main menu.
  • Resolved an override affecting random stands when worker-related events are generated.
  • Fixed a bug causing a switch to the recipe view when the player has yet to select a stand.
