Our sources have confirmed the next Steam Playtest Free Play Weekend is approaching!

July 13-14th Exfil's latest update will go live

This update should include a wide variety of updates, bug fixes, performance enhancements and new content.

Here is a quick summary of what to expect

  • New Game mode "Rogue"

    1 Rogue team needs to cross the map and EXFIL while hunted by 1-3 teams with the objective of destroying the intel. Periodic RFID pings update the intel location for the Hunters. There are multiple copies of the intel.. As the rogues do you? Decoy? Punch through? Split and rush the gaps? Compared to military football our new game mode is just about ready for testing. We need your feedback to refine it.

  • New Projectile Simulation including penetration, ricochets, Bullet calibers

    We are working through wrapping a few different layers on top of our basic bullet Ballistics including material penetration calculated by both thickness, material type and angle which necessarily leads to deflections and secondary penetration both of which can be the killing blow.

    Damage reduction over distance and after penetration has also been added and currently about to start testing!

    Body armour and Helmets have been added to the damage simulation to incrementally increase survivability. They will reduce the damage factor dramatically when you take hits in those areas.

  • Kit selection screen and weapon customization (Stage 1)
  • Team preparation screen and mission overview
  • A large variety of new scopes to further enhance the roles of various weapons
  • Added Iron sights option for all weapons
  • Body Armour and Helmet integration into the damage system
  • Integration of functional Doors into the world
  • Integration of power switches and power control system into the worlds
  • New Weapon sounds based off professionally record HK416 and MK17s
  • Upgraded and decoupled FSR and DLSS integrations including latest frame generation technology
  • Steam friends integration allowing friending in game from lobby
  • Fixed Join In Progress, Death and Spectator CAM to have more functionality
  • Added spotlight to Air drones allowing night spotting and tracking
  • Added Intel tracker and mission information to HUD / menu display
  • Added GPS notifications to better notify players of objective changes
  • Added option hardcore vs High visibility uniform server settings
  • Added barbed wire that can damage players on contact
  • Added first time control0 guides for new users
  • Added additional protection for players once in Exfil Helicopter

Risette Twinings is a maid who works as a service concierge for Marduk Total Security Company. She supplies Van with special weapons and apps for his orbment from Marduk in exchange for his help testing said products, and despite her elegant appearance, is a formidable force in battle.


Quatre Salision is a researcher enrolled in the Basel Institute of Science's master's program, despite only being fifteen years old. He specializes in the research, development, and operation of orbal drones, and commands the drones FIO and XEROS in combat.


Judith Lanster is one of the top actresses in the entire orbal film industry, known for her acting skills, work ethic, and sense of justice. However, she also seems to have another, behind-the-scenes job that she pursues between acting gigs...


Bergard Zeman is a master of the Kunlun style, one of the East's three great martial arts schools, and has a number of disciples scattered across the continent. He was also Van's former master, and taught him proper martial arts. When the war between the Erebonia and Calvard began, Van received news that Bergard had lost his life in an incident, but that seems to have not been the case...

Hey Vikings, thank you for your continued reporting and feedback.

We’ve been working super hard today and have another hotfix that we are rolling out now!

Squashing those bugs:
  • Added a log message (into player.log) to indicate the serialisation error in case a save game session is failing.
  • Fixed the Targeting AI sometimes not losing their targets and remaining in the combat state forever
  • Fixed warriors tasked with a patrol route as they were sometimes getting stuck in training for the entire working day and ignoring their patrol routes if they had searched for equipment.
  • Rangers will now recover their arrows when leaving the archery range to continue their patrol route.
  • Fixed an issue where Villager stamina would not be synchronised for the clients
  • Fixed an issue with the Barracks workers where they were sometimes not attacking the dummies during training due to a floating point error in their stamina range.
  • Fixed villagers hoarding food instead of finding weapons and vice versa when preparing for work
  • Fixed barbecue exploit where it was possible to pick up an ingredient right before is cooked and would duplicate it and sometimes cause errors
  • Fixed melee warriors sometimes not training
  • Fixed bug causing builders to get stuck when looking for equipment with full inventory
  • Fixed saving error caused by dismantling a patrol marker which was part of a route without warriors assigned

It’s about the little things:

  • Added more coal storage for the coal-maker
  • Food durability has been improved
  • Added more HP to the walls and gates
