Solitar: Retro Picks - DarkCove Games
Happy to announce: Nuclei

After the decision to postpone the launch, I ended up with some extra time on my hands. So I decided that I had more than enough time to slide in a new game to the collection (at not extra cost obviously).

JezzBall... I had completely forgotten about this classic game, and once I was reminded of it, I felt that it would be good addition to my "retro picks". I tried to respect the classic rules as much as possible, I think the speed of the walls and the "balls" are pretty close the the original, some minor adjustments might be required based on feedback. The only thing I left out was the timer which I didn't really care for, but I might implement it in future if people ask for it.

Feature Creep? Maybe, but hey, you'll get a new game at no extra cost.

Idle Research - Considera Games
Hi friends, I have finally removed the steam achievement for the Black Ice Flask. So now people should be able to 100% the game for now.

This new update is still taking way longer than it should, and I again apologize for that. For those who don't know, I am a full-time computer science student who also is an intern at a software development company. On top of that, I've had a lot of personal/social obligations to focus on, and other side-projects unrelated to Idle Research.

I'm doing my best to make progress, but it's just hard maintaining everything. Hopefully this achievement removal will help people!

Thanks,
Zach

-The bug that was causing us to get soft-locked during triggered interactions with NPCs has been fixed pending further testing. Its been a challenge and is currently either fixed or reduced to a rare edge case. Please let us know if you get stuck on a dialogue box with an NPC and are forced to reload! The situation was caused by our logic system for handling different movement modes and equipment states but each fix led to more issues, especially if the player was "sliding" down an incline when an interaction was queued for triggering. I THINK it's rock-solid now, we'll see.

-Numerous bug fixes and improvements

-The missing level Quardona Caverns has been added. The level is in between the Nyvena Wastards and the City of Eshalar levels.

-You can now get to the major boss fight with the Wizard Cazanseco after completing Eshalar. This marks roughly 50% of the player's progression through the game if we're able to do everything we are planning.

-A few improvements have been made to the other levels but they won't be actually finished until we've finished creating game assets for the latter part of the game, and then do a revamp of the entire game.

Siphonogore - SurfaceToAsh
Hey folks, sorry about being kind of MIA this month, I've been working to get the last minute tweaks into the playtest and getting that set up. This morning, it's live!
It should be open access, so you can hop in and play. Inside are some feedback and bug-reporting forms, which I can use to improve designs.

Overview
  • Updated Status Effects and loot handling
  • Added menus and playtester settings
  • Implemented Move selection
  • Added Part and Move upgrades
  • Updated Crawling visuals and presentation
  • Bug fixes and UI updates

Updated Status Effects and loot handling
I changed some aspects of status effects - Fluids and Trauma buffs are now % based instead of flat values for an easier understanding from the player side and more balanced application.
Loot items from the crawling segment have been given proper handling

Added menus and playtester settings
There's now a settings menu to adjust the music and sound effects, as well as some togglable UI options. I also added playtester tools like feedback and bug report forms.

Implemented Move selection
In the character selection screen, you can now preview all moves a part can unlock, The first move is locked, but you can select the second move for the part to use.

Added Part and Move upgrades
Now on leveling up, the player can choose levels/ranks for their moveset, making their moves more powerful and fitting into a proper niche, additionally there are packages of conditional effects and buffs, as well as one-time upgrades that provide slow-burning long term rewards and short-term bursts of power.

Updated Crawling visuals and presentation
The crawling segment has been given a facelift with new art and transitions between scenes - actions that you don't have the ability to perform are now presented as a deactivated button, listing the required move.

Bug fixes and UI updates
The usual fair - I've added some color coding to hovertext and the Crawling results screens so you can see what things were positive or negative at a glance.

A system of different trophy fish weights for different reservoirs has been added to the game. For example, carp in Germany has a lower trophy weight (from 10 kg) than carp in the Czech Republic or France.
The change affected some species in some reservoirs, in particular - catfish and walleye on the Pra River, carp in Germany, the Czech Republic, the Don River. Sturgeon and catfish in France and some other species.

Location France - a small alteration of the reservoir and the redistribution of the settlement of fish species in the reservoir. The entire shore of the reservoir is now accessible, you can go around or go around it. The catch zones have been changed, the terrain has been slightly changed.

Chub and perch species have been removed from the reservoir. Added golden crucian and Atlantic sturgeon

Fixed and added some character animations.

In some cases, the performance of the game has been increased.

Hello Chill Town community! 🌟

After a relatively quiet period, we are thrilled to bring you the latest major update to the game, packed with new content and improvements. Let's dive into the details below:

Fruit Tree 🍊

We've completed the fruit tree feature, allowing you to plant and harvest fruit trees. There are a total of 10 types of fruits in this update. Besides oranges available at the NPC's shop, you will embark on a journey to explore the island, collect various fruits, and bring them back to grow your farm.

To guide you through this content, we’ve added a new quest and dialogue with NPC Mika. If you've completed her tree planting quest, you can start planting oranges, harvest them to trigger related dialogues about fruit trees.

To boost your motivation around this feature, we've added 3 new related achievements.

Please note that this is not the end of this feature. In future updates, we will continue to add new tree species and experiment with improvements like differentiating leaves and canopies for easier identification. We are also considering allowing trees to be dug up and relocated instead of only chopping them down.

Lastly, besides fruit trees, you can now purchase 4 other types of trees—Oak, Maple, Pine, and Birch—to decorate your town.

Auto Farming 🌾

As introduced from the early days to the community, Chill Town aims to incorporate idle elements. While the initial release only had the Auto Fishing feature, this update brings you Auto Farming. This feature allows you to harvest and water all crops in the town with a single click. We believe it will be very useful, saving you time and letting you do other things while the game performs these tasks automatically.

Currently, this feature occasionally encounters some movement issues. If you experience this, use the Unstuck button to fix it.

Path Tile Rework 🛤️

We've revamped all the textures of the path tiles for a more beautiful look. Additionally, we’ve added borders around the tiles, helping you create more attractive and professional pathways.

We will continue to add more diverse textures like granite, cobblestone, and decorative tiles in future updates.

Custom Album and Custom Music 🎶
We’ve introduced a Custom Album feature that allows you to mix songs from the game’s music library to create highly personalized albums based on your preferences instead of playing them in the predefined order.

Additionally, you can now import your own music in ogg and mp3 formats to play directly in the game.

New Music Album 🎵
If you’re a fan of the background music from Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you might love this new album—Mischievous. It has a playful yet relaxing and gentle vibe.

Feeding Pets 🐾

You can now feed your pets anytime you want, as long as you have the appropriate food.

Additional Minor Updates 🛠️
  • The number of days in each season has increased from 7 to 10.
  • We've added interactive dialogues with Rosa and Mika, providing hints on where to find various flowers, crops, and fruits instead of leaving you without any information. If you haven't completed these collections or start a new playthrough, interacting with Rosa and Mika will be very helpful.
  • In the early stages of the game, if you haven't built a house, time will not progress, ensuring you don’t waste your first day.
  • Time will now pause when you are interacting with UI elements like opening shop screens or talking to NPCs.
  • Fixed some minor bugs.

Enjoy the update and happy gaming! 🌟
