After officially unveiling our PC Alpha Test date at TwitchCon EU 2024 - that's July 18, in case you missed it - we're announcing even more exciting collaborations with our friends at Twitch.



Twitch Drops

We're pumped to roll out five rounds of Twitch Drops during our upcoming PC Alpha Test. These will be available on:
  • July 18
  • July 19
  • July 20
  • July 24
  • July 31
So what does this mean? Anyone streaming Delta Force: Hawk Ops on Twitch over those days can enable Twitch Drops on their channel. Then, once a viewer binds their Twitch account to their Delta Force: Hawk Ops account, watching one hour or more of that streamer's content will reward them with a Steam key for the PC Alpha Test - it's a win-win for everyone!

Streamer Challenges

Once the PC Alpha Kicks off on July 18 we'll be running a series of fun streamer-focused challenges. This will be an opportunity for streamers to showcase their sweet Delta Force skills - however, we'll also be turning the tables, putting a bounty on their heads and inviting players to track them down in-game!

Sophie: i[/i] Vladimir has always had a penchant for drama, hasn't he? We have a complicated history, dating back to the Prohibition era. While I prefer to focus on the present and he's stuck in the past, it's no secret that I've had to navigate around his... less appealing traits. Let’s just say, if needing to be cautious makes me untrustworthy, then perhaps we need to redefine trust, and he should look into a mirror... if he dares...

Interviewer of V-Diffusion: Well said. We'll let our viewers decide who should be trusted or not. Obviously, I trust you, my dear.

Good morning!

I thought all was well with the new build, but I got a report this morning from a Discord member that some mon cutscenes and photo events are getting mixed up and preventing progression. Here's what could be happening to you (quote from Discord):

"I’m struggling to get passed when piggle and nix are let out of the vault. After getting the key from the ship and then going to sleep after helping all the mons that day (all the mons after the final toast lock that I could help) it shows all the cutscenes and then piggle appears like how a ghost mon would and just says “mad” and disappears. It keeps doing this and It’s funny, but I tried continuing and it kept doing the same cutscene and then piggle would be bagged again and then I’d get multiple photos that were from piggle but just labelled as photos separately. Also, nix’s quest would never occur even after helping the second to last ghost mon and having the document and memory stick. I thought at first it may have been because I put in the key code before meeting the cat who gave you the document, but I deleted my save and retried it normally and the same thing has happened again."

I made some changes to mon progression which is probably what's causing this issue. I'm working on a fix right now and hope to get a patch out today. If I'm not able to pin this down quickly, I'll roll the public build back to the last stable build.

I'm sorry that this slipped through.

The Super Raft Boat Together demo is back! It's been super polished and will allow people try out the game before deciding to buy it. There's many things that are not available in the demo, the biggest being that there's only 3 areas (Clear Skies, Rough Waters, and Sea of the Damned), and after that is an endless kraken swarm. This gameplay loop makes it similar to Super Raft Boat Classic, but without the ability to loop.

FROGGY SWAMP


Sea of the Damned now has an alternate biome, players can now travel to the Froggy Swamp! Here there are frogs, flies, turtles, and even a new boss, the Crocodile! This area now brings the total biome count to 9!

FREEZER


The Freezer has arrived and is now the main boss of Arctic Ocean! He also has another form, Electric Freezer, who appears in Electric Flow. Freezer can shoot regular bullets, and ice cube bullets that slows players and freezes rafts. His electric form also shoots electricity bullets that stun players. Are you tough enough to face this frozen menace??

  • Windbound - Alternate hub song that only starts playing after completing the Kraken Statue (always plays after the Kraken Statue completion cutscene).
  • Hub songs now have a small moment of silence between each other before going into the next one.

Changes
  • Electric Flow / Soda Sea / Vegetable Stew now all share the 4th biome slot, and that leads into Blood Sea.
  • Chests, bottles, sailors, egg animals, and rescue barrels can now magnetize in water to players close enough. No more lost loot!
  • Increased magnetization values for big and epic money bags.
  • Compass bird's biome icons are visible without being in interactable distance.
  • Cooler's strong soda bottles have blue warnings instead of red.
  • In single player local UI, the build bar hammer icon pulsates when you have max rafts.
  • Build bar in UI and on cursor is now brown instead of blue. Changes to different shade of brown when full.
  • Increased time it takes for emote spawm warning to occur.
  • Tutorial building sections are faster.
  • Emote used count is added to full results screen.
  • Soda Sea and Vegetable Stew must now be unlocked to be accessed.
  • Players must now return to Raftport when beating the Kraken before completing the Kraken Statue.
  • There's now small cutscenes for beating the Kraken the 2nd, 3rd, and beating the Super Kraken. (Previously there was only a cutscene for the 1st and 4th time).
  • Fmod splash screen now also has Snoozeworks Logo, and a new background design.

Enemy Changes
  • Dolphin will instantly submerge if it destroys enough rafts from a dash (can destroy more per phase).
  • After looping, Dolphin will mix in spiky rocks during it's shoot attack. These destroy rafts.
  • Narhwal knocks up players when it rises and destroys all rafts (including bumper rafts) while rising.
  • Eels and Otter now destroy bumper rafts.
  • Fish have been optimized more and should behave better when playing online.
  • Small Krakens positions are clamped to stay a bit closer to the raft grid.
  • Small Krakens will now shoot 2 shots in a row at Loop 1, and 3 shots in a row at Loop 2 and beyond.
  • Small Krakens can now shoot ink missiles.
  • Cooler drops slightly more money.
  • Super Kraken has laser barrage and missile barrage. These have been mixed in with other moves during later phases and loops.
  • Super Kraken now has different moves it uses when fighting it on Loop 1 and Loop 2/Post Loop 2.
  • Super Kraken's idle and transition times are faster on Loop 1 and Loop 2/Post Loop 2.
  • Post Loop 1, Super Kraken will aim the big laser at the closest player (angle is clamped so it won't shoot above it's own head).
  • Super Kraken will not use big laser twice in a row.
  • Froggy Swamp enemies can appear as loop enemies.
  • Enemies cannot be damaged during cutscenes.

Controller Changes
  • Right shoulder is now also command swap instead of doing nothing.
  • B is the center Emote, and the D-Pad directions are the other 4 emotes.
  • D-Pad also now works in the UI navigation.
  • Y is now trinket screen in game, and quick ready in Raftport.
  • Fixed bugs where keyboard and controller can control the same character.
  • Fixed bugs where one controller controls multiple players.
  • Fixed controller not being able to view trinket info in the all trinket screen.
  • Controller now has to hold Trinket Squad Screen and Character Info buttons to keep viewing them (like how it works on keyboard).
  • Fixed grenade launcher length on controller (base and trinkets) not being able to reach max distance.
  • Fixed controller menu navigation where it broke with character info screen and pause screen.

Fixes
  • Fixed problem where sometimes a player disconnecting desyncs your trinkets and squad trinkets.
  • Crabs and Bone Sharks will not get confused if there's no raft left to target.
  • Fixed clients not having to pay for some coin services in runs.
  • Some particles now have maximum counts that can be spawned at a time (raft destruction, build poofs, raft icon effects, death poofs, bullet impacts, and rock shards).
  • Players can not get hurt during cutscenes.
  • Can no longer interact or buy items while paused.
  • All trinket unlock screen now goes through list backwards, and sorts the ones not unlocked on the bottom.
  • Player max magnet effect for in between biomes also procs for boss intros (so 5-3 money isn't lost when going to Super Kraken).
  • Chests from Sailor ships and leaving the Ship of Dreams should now always reach an available raft.
  • Fixed Boom Bloom explosions not damaging enemies.
  • Fixed players emoting while paused.
  • Fixed random bosses and stats manager waves_per_loop to allign with new biome progression.
  • Helveti starts with 6 rafts instead of 5 (she could always hold 6 but started with 5 instead).
  • Biome popup name should be the correct translation for clients, not be taken by the host's language.
  • BFF Ring trinket description grammar fixed.
  • Enemies loop health multiplier was higher than it was supposed to be, now it's back to normal (33% per loop for enemies, 225% per loop for bosses)
  • Self inflicted explosion damage from grenade launcher and rockets is 1/4 heart instead of 1/2 heart.
  • Other small improvements/fixes.

Balance
  • Each loop is now 5 biomes instead of 6.
  • 0.25 seconds of i-frames are granted when landing from being hit by a geyser.
  • Kraken bite hitbox time reduced (.75 -> .6).
  • Base trinket drop chance and effect from Ship in a Bottle has been reduced.
  • Enemy health per loop increased (33% -> 60%).
  • Boss health per loop increased (225% -> 275%).

Thanks to our playtesting community on Discord, a bug was caught where certain players get a black screen upon starting the Heretical Demo Playtest.

We've pushed the update to fix this issue, so now the Demo Playtest is properly working.

This means the compile method went from MonoBleedingEdge method to the IL2CPP method, this just means it will be slightly more difficult to mod but still easy, however its a lot more secure and keeps all the files safe, this means that your file size will be a bit higher than normal
