As you might remember, we had to roll back the previous patch. Today's patch includes the previous changes (with fixes) as well as new additional changes.
Added a refresh button for the map as a temporary solution so you don't have to exit the game when the map freezes. We're still working on a permanent fix but hope to reduce inconvenience with this interim measure.
At the later stages of testing, we identified a bug in which the button may not work, but in most cases, there should be no problems.
New Teleportation Points:
Replaced teleportation points to improve travel and reduce inconveniences when teleporting between green zones.
"Waiting for Server" Error:
Fixed instances causing the "Waiting for Server" error. Login should now be more stable.

Weapon and Skill Balancing:
Estoc Damage Adjustments: Reduced by 20% to improve combat balance.
We see too much emphasis on the use of mines as protective structures. The following changes will help attackers quickly break down the defences of such fortresses and, among other things, will make life a little easier for ordinary miners.
Changes to Collapse and Break Reinforce Skills:
Removed the need for tools to perform collapse and break reinforce.
Reduced cast time to 8 seconds for collapse and 15 seconds for break reinforce.
Experience gain reduced to 300 for collapse and 700 for break reinforce.

Lag Compensation Temporarily Disabled in Arenas:
Lag compensation has been disabled in arenas to collect your feedback and improve the quality of your gameplay experience.
Reduced the chance of items to be destroyed after the character’s death:
Now the chance is 8% instead of 15%.
Storage Box Change:
Capacity increased to 5000 and the number of renamings is now unlimited.
Breeding Structures (stables, coops, barns) now have a common timer:
This eliminates a vulnerability that was exploited to rapidly breed animals.

It's been a while since the last one, but now we're back! Over the next few dev logs we'll be getting to know some of the team behind the creation of our upcoming special pack, Alice's Adventures.
This time we have Laura, one of PowerWash Sim's 3D Artists!
Could you tell us a bit about yourself and your role at FuturLab? Laura: Heya! My name is Laura, I am French, and I studied video games in Paris. Now I am living in UK and work at FuturLab for almost 3 years. I am a 3D artist!
Which part of the Alice’s Adventures pack did you have the most input on? Laura: I worked on the Queens Court level with Andreea. From blockout stage to the end, doing 3D low and high poly models, textures but also taking care of the contrast, the colour scheme, the environment and lighting! The best part for me was working on the adorable bunnies.
What would you say is the most enjoyable part of your job? Laura: Creating, adding a bit more of storytelling when I can. It is also really nice to look at a before/after screenshot to see all the work done on a scene!
Is there a particular part of your job (that you can talk about) that you’ve been really proud of? Laura: I’m really happy about Minigolf, it is full of storytelling in there, from the forest to the castle. (and no the dragon hole isn’t his butthole...!). I also know that players enjoyed it, so it is probably why I’m a bit proud. (I’m also really happy about Seventh Heaven scene and Spanish Villa one) But SpongeBob DLC is probably the one I am most proud of, a lot of hand painted textures to make it look like the tv show and I think it looks great, we did a great job in here!
Do you have a favourite level in PowerWash Sim? Laura: Probably one of the SpongeBob levels! Conch Street or Mermalair one
Is there anything you’re currently playing/watching/reading? Laura: I am doing 3D on my spare time mostly, but I am waiting to play Throne and Liberty!
If you could give a new player one piece of advice for playing PowerWash Sim, what would it be? Laura: Use aim mode really haha
An important question, do you have a favourite nozzle? Laura: Not really!
If you could have a dream IP added to PowerWash Simulator, what would it be? Laura: My childhood game: Dofus !

Caïssa Board was released the 1st July 2021, at the time it was made with Unity Engine. Since then I have moved it to Unreal Engine and have brought major changes to it.
In this release I have focused on the User Interface and the Multiplayer Mode. You can now host games online and even launch a dedicated server built for Windows or Linux!
User Interface
The User Interface needed some work, so I went and redesigned most of it. The menus are now easier to understand.
Multiplayer
As I was ahead of my schedule, I've spent a couple weeks to see if I could make Linux and the multiplayer mode work. After much struggle I could finally succeed with both! This version is very basic, you can pick a side, choose a chess variant and start a game. The bells and whistles will come later.
While the dedicated servers are ready on my side, there is an issue with Steam which makes them unavailable right now. I'm working with them to fix it and in the meantime you can still host multiplayer games from your computer.
Linux
I have successfully packaged Caïssa Board for Linux! What's left to do are minor details such as installing the right chess engines. The dedicated server works already for Linux and will be available as soon as Steam unlocks it.
Bugs
Unfortunately, in order to make the multiplayer work, I had to break about everything in the game. While I have fixed the most obvious errors, you might see the game crashing on less used features. Don't hesitate to tell me if you experience any bug or crash.
Future
Before going further with the multiplayer mode, I want to stabilize the single player mode a bit more. Once done I can work on the Linux version and then expand the multiplayer mode.
