We're very excited to share with you a special SCS On The Road episode, which confirms which vehicle was seen and shared in our recent 'New Truck Spotted in ETS2' blog post. As many of you guessed correctly, we're happy to announce that the First Fully Electric Scania Truck will be coming to Euro Truck Simulator 2!
In this episode, we return to Sweden to give you a behind the scenes look at the process our team undertake to collect important reference material, and how we record audio for a new truck. This all took place at the famous Scania Demo Centre located in Södertälje. We'd like to express our gratitude to all those involved at Scania who made this trip and project possible! We look forward to sharing the end results in the future.
Much like previous additions, the Scania S Battery Electric Vehicle will be accessible only through the Quick Jobs section, as we continue to work on making changes to the in-game world to fully support electric vehicles.
We hope you've enjoyed watching this special Behind The Scenes episode. We look forward to producing more episodes in the near future. Be sure to follow us on X/Twitter,Facebook,Instagram, and YouTube to be notified of all the latest news and releases. Until then, we'll see you on the road!

Ship ahoy! Angelica Norgren here, the game director. However, these days I might be more of a sea captain, who together with my talented crew is sailing towards the grandest DLC we’ve set out to make. Getting closer to our goal, every day!
*rolls out a parchment* Let's take a look at how we will get there!
We've already talked about how Mount Olympus will be off-limits until you have proven yourself worthy to the four gods; Athena, Artemis, Hephaestus and Hermes. Each and every one of them will have different quests for you. Complete the labors and gain their blessings to take on the final threat on Mount Olympus, a foe of truly epic scale. But surely, you cannot be expected to take on this challenge empty-handed?
A hero with the heart of a hunter
After restoring Artemis's temple the player is guided towards a large island in the north-west, where gnarled roots crawl across the ground, a vast canopy of leaves filter the light, and thick trunks create a labyrinth that hides the most shimmering treasure.
Artemis' love for creatures of the wild is only matched by her love for archery. Also portrayed as the goddess of the moon, we can only imagine how she must feel about the red hue that has haunted the night sky ever since the mysterious Greed started appearing all across the lands. Both huntress and protector, she bestows our royal hero with a hunter's trial. Prove yourself, and you shall receive a generous gift that is guaranteed to aid you in the battle against the Greed.
The gods are not the only ones willing to lend a hand during your many travels. If you happen to come across peculiar long-forgotten, subterranean tombs out in the secluded wilderness, you can try holding out a few shiny gems and a newfound friend might emerge. These hermits are lonesome by nature, but for the right price they will share their highly specialized skills. Pick them up on the back of your horse and new, architectural wonders and strategic options will become available to strengthen your Kingdom further. The hermit house belongs to a certain mathematician with a knack for physics, as I am sure you can tell by the many trinkets and inventions. This hermit will allow you to upgrade your high-level towers to become even more powerful as ballista towers.
Blood, sweat and lava
The next location we are visiting today is the volcanic island where Hephaestus' quest will take place. Hephaestus might not seem like an obvious choice among the ancient Greek gods, as he is not of quite the same fame as his father Zeus or brother Hades. However, as the god of fire and forge, Hephaestus is a master craftsman - one who builds for gods and mortals alike. We chose him to be part of the game because he represents one of the most important themes in Kingdom: building.
Build, Explore, Defend and Conquer. Without building, none of the rest would be possible. Only a true Monarch knows the importance of refined tools, sturdy walls and a fortified castle. Hephaestus's grand forge was rumored to be located inside a volcano, where the heat from the lava allowed him to craft the most magnificent weapons. Weapons a royal hero on a quest to save the lands surely could make good use of. If only there was a way to gain his favor...
The monument in the background on this island is one of my personal favorites in the game. Lodged between three active volcanoes, with smoke pillars rising towards the sky and glowing lava trickling towards the sea, the remnant of a gigantic cyclops can be seen. In the middle of the fearsome creature's skull, the gaping socket almost seems to be observing you from afar. If you look a little closer, two tusks can be seen just above the mouth. A fitting facial feature, considering how researchers today theorize that the cyclops myth was inspired by ancient Greek encounters with small elephant skulls - their craniums had a big hole for their trunks which might have seemed eerily similar to a single eye socket.
Before the heat from the lava becomes too much and the volcanic ash fills our lungs, I fear it is time for us to set sail once again. There are plenty more islands to explore, myths to uncover and powerful artifacts to shine light on.

Today is an exciting day as we introduce a new addition to Duck Paradox - The Disco Dimension! This update adds 12 levels, new and exciting mechanics, secret areas, and a second boss. The Disco Dimension is a whole new world to explore, along with the initial Lab Dimension (which has also seen some updates.)
From Diego Lenero, our lead developer: “The Disco Dimension started out when our Audio Engineer and Composer, Adam Brown, said he wanted to make disco music. We got to work on a main mechanic - the Mega Disco Ball. Inspired by Atari's "Breakout" but with the bullet hell difficulty of Duck Paradox, we wanted to create the feeling of being inside a groovy pinball machine…while 40 corrupted ducks try to kill you.”
You might be asking - “How do I get to the Disco Dimension?” Great question, we've broken it down here:
Explore secret areas and use Krono time to uncover a new item: Krono Shard. (Hint: You’ll need 3.)
Defeat El Alicanteronte on Level 8 and retrieve its beak.
Once you have all 3 Krono Shards and the beak, they combine to create the "Rift Slasher" dash upgrade. This rift damages nearby enemies and allows Dr. Paraducks to pass through an obstacle called Energy Walls, scattered throughout the Lab Dimension. This is a really fun new ability and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Behind the Energy Walls, you’ll find the elusive Disco Flower. If, during the level, you take Quark to the Disco Flower, he will transform into Disco Quark, and the Time Machine will begin to glow blue. Returning Disco Quark to the time machine will enter you into the Disco Dimension on the next level. Here, the new adventure begins!
To finish all of the available content you’ll lastly need to find the final Disco Flower on the final level of the second loop just before El Alicanteronte to access the new boss El Rey Patoteca.
This dimension takes some work to unlock, which makes your arrival that much more anticipated. We think this adds more variety of gameplay, skills to master, and a bigger piece of the time warp structure to explore. We want to hear your questions and feedback as we work towards full release. Feel free to join our Discord or let us know in the Steam Community tab.
New reinforce upgrade can now be applied to walls once their schematic is unlocked via research. Similar to upgrading droids, in the wall info window click the research icon, and purchase via the popup upgrade window (if you have the metal available). You can also upgrade via selecting multiple walls, however walls must be at 100% health to upgrade.
Upgrading walls is classified as a build type job for your workers,
Full notes:-
Wall reinforce upgrade added to research.
Wall upgrade available, once researched (new wall reinforce graphics applied).
Workers build job check now also look for upgrade wall jobs.
Improve: Cannon projectile FX improved.
Fix: Adjust research and info windows for 125% text scale, to keep text in window.
Fix: Draggable windows now reset to centre screen on resolution change in game.
We wanted to give you a sneak peek of an upcoming feature and get your thoughts on what we've been working on - introducing Tide Trials! Imagine pushing your colony management skills with unique gameplay modes.
Tide Trials are gameplay modifiers that add extra challenge or silliness to a migration. They can be activated after completing your first migration, and added to each migration from then on!
Some of our ideas for some initial Tide Trials include:
Permanent Roles Trial: Once a Crabling’s role is selected, it cannot be changed. Adapt or perish!
Fast Trial: Everything is faster - movement, attacks, favor generation, and food drops.
No Eggs Trial: No new Crabling eggs. You start with just 4 Crablings. Role swapping is free.
Timed Trial: Complete each level in a set number of days or face automatic migration and tough sacrifices.
And more!
Note: all of this is a work in progress and could change significantly before it's made available.
We’re keen to hear what you think! Is this something you could see yourselves playing? What do you think of the initial list of Tide Trials? Do you have ideas for other Tide Trials that we should include? Feel free to share your thoughts and suggestions in the comments!
In “Void Shadows” you will not only meet new enemies, but also new allies. One of them is a secretive Death Cult that worships the Emperor in his most merciless form, the god of death. Sounds intriguing? Then take a look!
