Hotfix #41 (1.4.1) is now live on Steam and it will shortly be live on our other platforms.

  • Fixed a server crash which could happen when updating player stats if any stat reached a very high value.
  • Fixed a server crash which could happen if an Ogryn with the “Feel No Pain” talent equipped was hit by a projectile which was about to be destroyed.
  • Fixed an issue where the Branx Pickaxe attack startup animations would be incorrect if starting an attack immediately after interrupting a Special attack by sprinting.
  • Fixed an issue where the Antax Mk V Combat Axe was playable but showed incorrect stats.
  • Fixed the following in the new mission Clandestium Gloriana:
    • Fixed an issue where the backdrop would be incorrect when setting the volumetric quality settings to Low in the new mission.
    • Fixed an issue where players could get stuck in the doors of the horizontal elevator as they were closing.
    • Fixed an issue where players could walk behind the horizontal elevator gantry and fall through the map.
  • Fixed an issue related to triggering VO which caused banter to happen less frequently than intended.
  • Fixed an issue where subtitles in the Mourningstar could overlap during the Path of Trust cinematics.
  • Fixed inconsistencies for spelling for Ogryns Pickaxes.
  • Fixed an issue where the description of the “Torment” Pickaxe blessing would appear in undefined text in languages other than English.
  • Fixed an issue where the wrong inspect animations played for Ogryn Pickaxe in third person.
  • Fixed an issue where the second line of Zola’s intro for The Orthus Offensive special assignment was not playing.
  • Fixed an issue where Zola’s VO lines are over the radio in The Orthus Offensive special assignment menu.
  • Added a smoother transition screen when loading into a video or cutscene, instead of just showing the operative.

Hero's Story - Silentplaygames
Greetings, Heroes! Today, a small update was released for Hero's Story.

It fixes the main bugs of the release version, including the bug with saving the player's progress, bugs with saving quests and the inability to complete some of them.
It will also no longer be possible to buy 99 arrows for 60 gold from the merchant.
Please note that you may have to re-enter the location or defeat the Fallen Knight again for all the changes to take effect.

I will continue to work on the game and monitor player's feedback on social networks.

-Added a new cloud (cloud 3.3, which is upgraded from a cloud 3.2) which gains a 1-50km/h increased wind gust (possibly producing gales)
-Added a new cloud (cloud 3.4, which is upgraded from a cloud 3.2) which could gain significantly higher rates of rain (1-35 rain score)
-A spaceship that spawns every few nights which spawns in twelve clouds and then disappears
-Added a Heatwave which is 5x5 blocks wide
-A stage 3.0 or 3.1 cloud can turn into a tropical cloud if the cloud collides with a heatwave (In a tropical cloud, the rain increases by 5-50, Has sustained Winds of 5-35 and the Wind gusts increase by 35-50)
-Tropical cloud despawns when no longer in a tropical region

Changes:
-The maximum of clouds has increased to 170 instead of 150
-There are now 4 months a year instead of 8
-There are now 21 days a month instead of 20

The 'Room Match' will have a new feature allowing players to select the supply used in online matches.

・You will be able to play by selecting from the supplies currently available online.
・'Random' will choose a supply randomly from the "currently selectable supplies."
・Both the host and the client can check the supplies, but only the host can decide on the supply.
・'CURRENT' indicates the supply currently selected by the host. The match will start with this supply.

Princess animations will be added.
・'Bergamotte' and 'Lain & Shion' will now appear on the title screen.
・Princesses will animate during the nominating

Welcome to the first of our new Dev Diaries series!

Over the next few weeks, we'll join members of our development team to provide you with an exclusive peek into the world of SAND, delving into its development journey, future plans, world, art and upcoming content as we progress towards future playtests and the game's eventual release!

In this initial Q&A, Development Lead Maksym will introduce the fundamentals of SAND and address some of the most pressing questions from our community about the strange and hostile world players will soon find themselves fighting for survival in.

So let's get to it...




What Exactly is SAND?

SAND is an open-world multiplayer extraction shooter where players explore the vast, fallen satellite moon named Sophie, with the aid of gigantic walking mechs known as Tramplers.

The game is set during the colonization of space by the Austro-Hungarian Empire on the eve of the First World War. Players will find themselves in the middle of the deserts on an unknown planet, beginning their journey in search of resources and valuables. To aid in their journeys, players can design and modify their personal Trampler – a machine essential for efficiently navigating the vast desert plains and surviving encounters with enemy factions.



Tell me more about the history of this moon “Sophie”?

Sophie is a satellite moon on which the Austro-Hungarian Empire had hoped to build a colony, granting land to Ukrainians and Poles from the Galician region. Initially, the colony thrived, with cities and factories being constructed and a growing population flocking to the moon in hopes of a prosperous future.

However, a mysterious catastrophe occurred, which resulted in an urgent evacuation (the details of which players can uncover) before eventually the Kaiser ordered the moon's complete closure.
Over time, as Sophie began to “heal”, adventurers and scavengers returned, driven by the belief that treasures and valuables left behind during the evacuation could offer them a chance at a luxurious life which the Empire could no longer provide.



What makes the game stand out from other similar titles?

The central feature of SAND is the Tramplers, which allow players to explore the remnants of the Austro-Hungarian Empire's luxury in the post-apocalyptic world of Sophie. Not only used for traversal however, equipping your trampler with weapons and fortifications is essential, as players will have to survive encounters with opposing players/their tramplers and an array of creatures that roam the planet that are more than capable of dismantling an ill equipped team.

Additionally, SAND's approach to alternative history is something we haven't seen replicated in any similar titles. The game balances real events with imaginative twists, exploring intriguing historical possibilities that were hindered by events such as the deaths of key historical politicians or scientists.



What kind of challenges and dangers can we expect in this world?

After the mysterious catastrophe, Sophie became an extremely hostile environment. Players will face the challenge of surviving the scorching daytime heat and the bitter cold that sweeps the planet after sunset, endless deserts and sandstorms while battling native inhabitants that somehow survived the ecosystem's collapse. More hazards are planned in the form of additional NPCs, weather events and more, but we’ll talk more about them at a later date.



What is the Goal of the Game?

The primary goal of SAND is to explore the world, survive engagements with competing scavengers, locate valuable items left behind after the disaster, extract them, and sell them to fund future expeditions and improvements for your tramplers and starting equipment.

Obviously, everything and everyone in the world will be doing what they can to obstruct you in this mission and achieve their own goals, so keep your wits about you...

Not long ago, we told you that we were planning to release a massive patch at the end of June. Well, the end of June is here!

Rocket Science is planned for release on June 28th, which is Friday!

0.7 Rocket Science is the biggest patch we've released for Quasimorph in terms of mechanics and content. We wanted the new progression system to encourage you to experiment and try new combinations of classes, perks, weapons, and operatives.

Patch Highlights:

Bugs and Localization
Please report any translation errors and bugs you encounter using the special form in the game's menu.
At the moment, we are focused on adding content, so we may not always have time to polish translations. We will definitely review all translations closer to the release.

Roadmap Update
We have also updated our roadmap. As you can see, we are still trying to maintain a high pace of updates and content releases, but we also want to spend a little more time refining some features.
